"Bruce…" I giggle as his fingers find their way to my waist, softly tickling my skin.
He groans without opening his eyes, his face pressed so close to mine that only the air between us separates our lips—and even that air is thick with his scent, coating my lungs with every breath.
His arms tighten around me, pulling me in closer, like he's trying to eliminate even the space between our heartbeats.
But I have to resist him. My alarm just went off. I need to leave his room and get ready for class. He does too.
"Bruce," I croak. "I have to leave."
He buries his nose in my neck and inhales deeply, pressing his whole body against mine so firmly I nearly wince—but instead, I melt. I love every second of it.
My heat has cooled off now.
