It was a long trip to kyoshi island. He first needed to return to the fire nation towards the crescent island and then towards the coasts of the earth kingdom.
He followed the coastline of the earth kingdom to the south towards Kyoshi.
Kyoshi was actually pretty far south and he thought if he should make a visit to the southern water tribe but he still had a lot of time till the plot starts.
He would first visit the legendary kyoshi warriors.
After almost a month of being at the sea he finally reached the kyoshi village.
He switched his fire citizen clothes for earth kingdom clothes and his ship into a plain fishing boat.
Yes, he had quite a collection inside his inventory not just clothes.
This ability was really useful.
He landed on Kyoshi island and walked around exploring the island with Noir sitting on his shoulder.
As he was walking in the forest he was suddenly grabbed ,put in a bag and then tied up with a thik rope.
Different than Sokka he could have easily overwhelemed them but he let himself be taken into custody and bound to a tree.
The bag was then taken off of his head and in front of him stood five kyoshi warriors with their iconic green black armour and heavy white-red make up.
"Hello there I wasn't expecting such a warm welcome" he joked nonchalantly.
"Who are you and what do you want here?" the leader of the kyoshi warriors demanded from him "If you don't answer we will feed you to the Onagi"
"First of all no matter what you want to do with me my real identity needs to be kept a secret. If it were to come out who I am the fire nation would sent a whole fleet just to kill me" he said and waited for the elder to appear who looked at him curiously.
"Alright, you have my word that your Identity remains secret now who are you?" he demanded.
"I am Akira, the prince of the fire nation" he said "I am the most wanted man in the entire fire nation for rebellion and deserting the fire nation. You should now understand why you should keep my identity under wraps"
The elder just nodded nervously and cut his restraints with a small knife.
"For now call me by the name Kai and never mention my real name to anyone" he said seriously and the kyoshi warriors were just looking at each other unsure of what to do.
"What does the leader of the rebellion want here?" the leader of the kyoshi warriors asked him pointing her fan at him threatingly.
"I had a vision. In a few years the Avatar will visit this island and I'll join him to help him in his mission to defeat my uncle Ozai" Akira said "Until then please let me stay here and I will help however I can"
The eyes of the kyoshi leader immediately lit up "yes that's a good idea. If you want to stay here you will have to earn it" she grinned and pushed him towards the village "I have just the right thing in mind"
Akira just sighed. He shouldn't have said that bit now it was to late.
"There, you can do our chores!" she said in a good mood and showed him a big pile of old dishes.
"Alright fine" Akira said and started to do the dishes grumbling over his big mouth.
He really shouldn't have said that.
So after he was finished he walked outside the kitchen only to stumble over a sleeping kyoshi warrior girl and fall to the ground.
"Oh are you finished?" she asked yawning "Sorry you took so long that I fell asleep"
Akira just raised an eyebrow.
"Anyways, come on I'll show you where you can stay during the next time Kai" she said overly pronouncing his name and leading him to a small wooden house.
"Sweet dreams" the kyoshi girl said and walked away.
He entered with Noir and made himself comfortable. Thinking ofbwhat to do during this time so he wouldn't be bored to death while being here he decided to continue his chi training which he kind of neglected for the sake of his advancement in fire bending.
But for now he would just sleep a bit.
A second later he was already asleep with Noir coiling himself to a small ball of black fur on top of his chest.
The next morning he began his daily physical training where a few kyoshi warriors looked at his movements in awe.
"How is he able to move like that?" one asked.
"He is more dangerous than he looks" the other said "should we let him train with us, mabye he can teach us a few of those movements"
"Let's ask Chiyoko if he can join" a third one said and they ran off together unaware that Akira had heard every word they said.
Well he hoped they would let him join in their training sessions as it would allow him to learn a different martial arts and show them chi blocking which he was planning to do anyways.
Five minutes later they came back to him and schouted "Hey Kai, di you want to join our training?" a smaller girl he recognized as Suki asked.
"Sure" Akira said and followed them "you know I am very curious about your martial arts. Using the power of the opponent against them I really want to learn that"
"We'll show you if you show us how you do those movements" Suki said and Akira just raised his eyebrow.
His superhuman movements and agility came from his monstous chi pool and control like Ty Lee and wasn't something someone can just learn.
"For that you would need to have trained since your early childhood and have the neccessairy talent for it. It isn't something just anyone can learn but I can show you something different" Akira said "I could show you chi blocking, the ability to temporarily restrict them from using bending for a few minutes"
"There is something like that?" Suki asked interested.
"Yes this technique only requires vast knowlege about chi paths in the human body and precise strikes but it takes time to master and use in combat" Akira explained.
"If you really can teach us something like this then you are more than welcome to learn our martial arts" the leader of the kyoshi warriors said "I am Chiyoko, nice to meet you Kai"
Akira just bowed slightly and entered the training room.
