Chapter 4 - Guardians of the Abyss

Part One: "The King of Death"

Cairo woke up in a dark place, unable to see anything.

Cairo: Dravik!... Dravik!... What happened? Where am I?

Cairo tried to use the lantern to light up the place, but the darkness was absorbing the light. Cairo continued walking in the dark area until he began to hear voices.

???: Despicable!!

???: Traitor!!

???: Scum!!

Cairo's expression changed to a serious one, and he looked angry.

Cairo: I never expected to hear those voices again in my life.

???: You selfish person, the day will come when you will be cursed.

Cairo, angrily: I am already cursed.

???: You're the reason!

Cairo, angrily: Shut up. It won't help. You're just illusions!

Cairo placed his hand in the darkness and pulled it away forcefully, causing the darkness to fade until he found himself in a medium-sized room filled with lights. In front of him was a throne on which something sat.

Isoth: How dare a being like you enter my domain? I am Isoth, the King of Death.

His voice was frightening and terrifying, and the sound emanating from it was stronger than anything he had ever seen. But Cairo showed no signs of fear. Instead, he looked at him with hatred and malice, because of the area that forced him to remember things he didn't want to remember.

Isoth: You are unique. The darkness of the past didn't affect you.

Cairo: You are the one who put me in that place.

Isoth rose from his throne. He was a living dead man, his eyes glowing red. He wore light armor and a simple black robe, and carried a large black axe.

Isoth: I don't have to answer to a vile being like you.

Cairo angrily: If you're not going to speak, I'll force you to... Cairo pulled out his spear and lunged at him. Izoth to attack him

Izoth raised his hand and grasped the tip of his spear with two fingers... Izoth: Weak!

This instilled some fear in Cairo's heart, so he backed away from him.

Izoth, mockingly: "Is that all you have?"

Cairo: "The fight has begun now!... A shadow grew, and dozens of Shadow Soldiers emerged from it."

Izoth: "Fighting like this won't be fair..." Izoth raised his hand and began to bring forth undead soldiers from underground.

The two opponents looked at each other, each with their own soldiers, in a moment of excitement.

The soldiers and opponents rushed towards each other and began attacking each other.

Izoth and Cairo continued to exchange attacks. Izoth struck Cairo in the stomach, throwing him against the wall.

Cairo stood panting and wincing from the blow, looking at Izoth, who showed no signs of harm.

Cairo took a deep breath: "I'll show you the essence of the true Shadow Style!"

Cairo lunged at Izoth… Izoth sneeringly: "Without a superpower!"

Cairo began to attack, switching his weapons from a spear to a sword to an axe, using them skillfully and beautifully.

Izoth tried to block these various attacks, but was unable to do so.

Cairo caused a great deal of damage. Izoth unleashed dark energy throughout his body to push Cairo away.

Izoth: "How can you use all these weapons so skillfully?"

Cairo: "They are the true essence of the Shadow Style. All these arts have a shadow. All I do is absorb it. This is called the Shadow Dance."

Cairo lunged at Izoth using the Shadow Dance. Izoth tried to block it, but he couldn't. Cairo struck Izoth with a powerful blow, shattering his body.

Cairo noticed a dark object emerging from Izoth's throne and heading towards his shattered body. Izoth's body began to rebuild. Izoth returned, looking angry.

Izoth angrily: "How?" A being like you would do that to me, the Angel of Death! You will die now!

Isoth began to prepare a strike that shook everything. Pressure increased, fear and anxiety filled Cairo's heart, and a terrifying aura swirled around his axe.

Isoth: Die!... Interrupting the darkness... A long black trail emerged from that attack, cutting through everything.

The pressure was high on Cairo. He tried to avoid the deadly attack, but he couldn't completely avoid it, causing the loss of his right arm.

Isoth: How?!

Cairo leaped into the sky after learning that Izoth was hiding something in his throne. He threw his spear at the throne, destroying it. Cairo noticed the presence of corpses possessing the Black Heart.

Izoth tried to interrupt Cairo in the sky, but it was already too late.

Cairo emerged from the shadow of the corpse and plunged his spear into it with all his remaining strength, creating an explosion.

All of Izoth's soldiers fell, turning into a pile of bones scattered everywhere.

Cairo gasped, "Finally?"

Cairo placed his hand in the corpse's heart and began absorbing the Black Heart.

After he finished absorbing the Black Heart, he stood up and headed toward the massive door behind the throne. He felt a sharp pain in his heart and fell to the ground.

Cairo, wincing, "Izoth, you bastard, do you want to live that much?"

On the other side, with Dravik.

Part Two: "The Sword of Light"

Dravic found himself in a dark area similar to the one he had been in. Cairo

Dravik: What's going on? I can't see anything.

???: Bro, why did you leave me alone?

Dravik: ?!!

Dravik heard a child's voice, which caused him to panic and fear.

Dravk, fearfully: Who are you?

???: You forgot about me, I'm your brother, Sayle.

Dravk, screaming: It's impossible. My brother died 10 years ago.

Sale began to appear as a child, deformed by the power of the Miasma. Dravik was surprised by his similar appearance to his brother. He tried to touch him, but his hand pierced Sayle's chest. He heard a woman's voice behind him.

???: Didn't you promise to protect your brother?

He turned around, frightened, to see his mother. He collapsed in fear.

Dravk, fearfully: I... I didn't mean to. All I wanted was revenge on them.

The mother's and Sayle's voices began to change and become frightening.

The mother, in a loud voice: Didn't you promise to protect him? You're scum who doesn't keep promises.

Sale: Didn't I tell you not to leave me alone?

Dravk began to run in the darkness, trembling. Andrei came out in front of him with black eyes.

Andrei: Didn't you promise me that you... You'll get me out of this place.

Dravik penetrated Andre's body, put his hands over his ears so he couldn't hear anything, and began hallucinating.

Dravik hallucinated: "I'm sorry... I'm sorry... I'm sorry."

Suddenly, the darkness began to disappear, and he found himself in his old home, reliving his memories.

His mother was lying on the bed in a miserable state, his past self holding her hand.

Mother: "Dravik, I don't have much time left. I want you to take care of your brother."

Little Dravik: "Don't worry, I'll do anything for him."

The scene changed, and he saw a group of people talking to them, with his brother hiding behind his back.

People: "Look at that monster."

Little Dravik angrily: "My brother isn't a monster. You are the monsters!"

The place changed. He returned home to see his brother entering the house covered in cuts and bruises, crying.

Little Dravik: Who did this to you?

Sael, crying: They hit him again. I didn't do anything.

Dravik held a stick: Stay here until I come.

Sael: Dravik, don't leave me alone. I'm scared.

Little Dravik: Don't worry. I'll be back soon.

Dravik: No, don't leave him!!

After some time, the door was broken open and Magon entered, beginning to devour Sayel in a terrifying and horrifying scene.

The house began to fade, and Dravik was in a white space. In front of him were his mother and his younger self, both smiling.

Dravik fell to his knees and began to cry, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry."

His mother approached him and hugged him.

Mother: "Don't worry, Dravik. No one holds a grudge against you."

His younger self placed his hand on Dravik's shoulder.

Young Dravik: "You have a mission to accomplish. We're counting on you."

Dravik wiped away his tears and stood up. Dravik, smiling, "You can count on me."

The place began to fade, and Dravik found himself in a long corridor, white torches lighting the passageway.

He began to walk forward, only to see a woman in the distance with white hair, black armor with a lion's heart, and a crown-like object on her head covering her eyes. Behind her was a huge gate from which a terrifying miasma emanated.

He approached the woman, and she unsheathed her sword. It was dazzling white and beautiful. I pointed it at Dravik.

Woman: It seems you've managed to transcend the darkness of Isoth. What is your goal?

Dravic: I'm here to purify the abyss.

Woman: I'm sorry, but I can't let you pass.

Dravic drew his sword. Dravik: So we must fight after all.

They charged at each other, their swords clashing. The woman's sword-wielding style was beautiful and wonderful, as if she were dancing. They exchanged blows at breakneck speed, with each attack the sound of the clashing swords increasing.

Dravic threw a drop of black blood, exploding, creating dust that prevented anyone from seeing the attacks. Dravik broke through the dust and attacked her. The woman was able to dodge Dravik's attack, but he managed to hit her crown, revealing her eyes. They were dazzling white and beautiful. She, too, managed to wound Dravik in the chest.

The woman smiled. "Young man, what is your name?"

Dravik: My name is Dravik Nkot

Woman: I will remember this name for the rest of my life. I am Naira, a light sword.

Dravic: I will remember your name, Naira.

Naira stood up, ready to attack. Her sword began to glow.

Naira: Oh light, lend me your power... Flash of dawn!

A light emerged, obscuring Dravik's vision. Before he could realize what had happened, she struck him with a powerful attack, knocking him to the ground.

Dravic: What was that?!

Naira: My style is as fast as light. You cannot comprehend what happened.

Dravic stood up. Black Blood Style... The Break!

Naira dodged the blow, but was unable to block the explosion caused by the black blood. The blast shattered Naira's shield.

They continued to exchange blows, using their techniques, causing severe damage to both of them.

Naira: Dravik, you are truly amazing, but I must end this fight, for darkness is approaching.

Dravic Beherit: Darkness?

Naira leaped into the sky and began preparing to end the fight with a single attack.

Naira: Light Style... Celestial Finale! She launched a series of attacks into the sky, and swords of light began to emerge from them and rain down on Dravik like rain.

Dust was everywhere. Naira re-sheathed her sword.

Naira: That was a great fight, Dravik.

Dravik: The fight isn't over... Dravik created a shield of blood to repel the attacks.

Naira looked behind her to find Dravik covered in wounds.

Dravik: This is the technique I learned on this journey... Blood Style... Crimson Blood Dance. Dravik's blood began to swirl around his body in blades. He then began to spin lightly, as if performing a dance of death, then attacked Naira.

Amazed by the beauty of the technique, Naira fell to the ground. With her last breaths... Naira: Darkness... is dying-
