Synopsis
Millenniums ago, there was a prophecy that foretold the end of the world through the resurrection of the Demon King. The gates of hell have been shut for as long as mankind existed but there was a mysterious crack one day. A crack small enough to let the lesser demons roam the face of earth but eventually, that crack only got wider. Humanity had no way to combat against these creatures but the Church did in the form of hunters. They trained some of the most powerful warriors to fight a battle that waged for centuries to come. However, the more demons they sent back, the bigger the crack became. This allowed the Demon King to send 1/100 of his essence into the human world and find a vessel for him to inhabit. This vessel was non-other than one of the hunters who fought his legion, Luke. There was no vessel on earth strong enough to contain him but this vessel managed to contain him for two days without breaking, a surprise to Demon King. The Demon King proceeded to mate with the hunter's wife before the Hunter ejected him from his body with sheer willpower. The church managed to send him back to hell but this time, they closed the gates permanently with an ancient artifact once thought to be lost, The Sevenfold Seal with seven keys placed in each continent. But there was a problem, Luke's wife was pregnant and it was twins but who was the father of these children- him or the Demon King? There was two placenta; one child belonged to him and the other belonged to the Demon King. But his wife asked him to make her a promise, he would protect BOTH of his children. However, would he betray the church to protect his children? - - - - - The system would come a lot later into the story so bear with me but this story would feature a lot of mythical creatures from different ideologies. Smut will be present as well but there would be no NTR whatsoever.

Chapter 1 - Prologue.

"You do not understand! He is the son of the devil! We need to kill it!" a nun screamed at the top of her lungs, shouting at a man who had a knife in his hand.

"You do not understand!" the man barked back, clearly standing in defence of the boy.

"She is right… We cannot save it," a priest responded, siding with the nun.

"Nothing is born evil, Father!" the man stood in defence, but the father shook his head.

"You know what he is and have to decide, Luke!" the priest warned, but Luke couldn't believe he had to make this choice right after his wife had died giving birth.

She made him promise he would protect both of his children, regardless of what they turned out to be.

"I have decided, and this is why I stand against you," Luke said calmly, to which the priest sighed in disappointment.

"Very well then," he muttered.

The nun charged at him, but the way she ran was reminiscent of a soldier.

Luke knew he couldn't beat them while protecting his son; he had to run away. But the problem was he had to abandon his other child because it was impossible to retrieve him.

But there were worse places to grow up in—the church was the safest place for his son.

"Forgive me, John," Luke muttered under his breath before jumping out the window to escape.

The nun wanted to give chase, but the father stopped her in her tracks.

"He will be back," the priest said, and this was because they had the other twin, and unlike his brother, this one didn't have any impurity.

"Yes, Father," the nun responded, but Luke had managed to escape with his life.

He couldn't even bury his wife, as her corpse lay on the bed in one of the rooms.

The years passed, and this suddenly looked like a distant memory, with Luke raising his son as a human. He had managed to keep him away from the church by presenting him with a normal lifestyle, to his knowledge.

He taught him everything he needed to know in terms of self-defence, but the most important aspect was the seal he placed on his baby to keep his demonic side suppressed.

He had to use the very things he killed—a witch. But due to the witch being hunted, there was no place safer than the protection of a hunter, even though Luke had her hexed with an artifact he stole from the church.

It would destroy her heart should she ever think about harming him or his child.

This was how he kept her under control, and through his formative years, Caleb grew to become an outstanding fighter, easily overpowering his peers but also somewhat of a pacifist.

At sixteen, he had his first girlfriend, and this was when he first began to notice the changes.

"No… No… NO!" a voice screamed at the top of his lungs, jolting himself awake from whatever nightmare he was trapped in.

This was a white-haired boy with golden eyes. He was handsome, alongside his superior genetics gotten from his father.

He got up from his bed in haste and stared at his reflection in the mirror right across from him.

"Get it together, Caleb…" Caleb muttered to himself because he was trying his best to remain composed, despite the cold bead of sweat dripping down his forehead.

The slanted door to his left slowly opened with a concerned gaze peeking through.

"I'm fine…" Caleb quickly said. He looked at the time and realized it was just 5:00 AM.

At the same time, he woke up each time he had this dream, but he must be overthinking things.

"Are you sure you're fine?" a woman asked, but Caleb couldn't bring himself to lie—and luckily, he didn't need to.

"You're still having that dream, aren't you?" the lady asked, and Caleb nodded to confirm this.

She quietly shut the door behind her and sat beside him on his bed, but Caleb looked ashamed to be having these nightmares because it didn't just inconvenience him.

It affected those around him, which made him a burden by default. He was seventeen and battling with school, so having a good night's sleep was one of those things he couldn't compromise.

"I'm sorry for being a bother," Caleb was quick to apologize because even if she wouldn't say it, Caleb knew he was making her do a lot more than she needed to.

"It is fine, Caleb. Really," she reiterated before placing the back of her hand on his forehead to measure his temperature.

"Your temperature is high… You poor thing," the lady muttered under her breath before standing up and rushing out the door.

Caleb couldn't wrap his head around why she cared so much about him, but Caleb had no idea what she was.

Luke was rarely around, but this didn't bother Caleb. However, Luke managed to shield him from the world he belonged to.

Caleb was unaware of the supernatural entities that existed in this world and had no idea his father was one of the top hunters of the church.

The woman returned shortly after. Everything on her body was jiggling in the nightgown she had on, but Caleb never sexualized her because she was like family to him.

She came with a bowl and a wet towel, quickly placing it across his forehead to help control the temperature.

Caleb was glad to have her in his life, but more importantly, he had an important test tomorrow that he couldn't miss—unless the world decided to end today.
