Tobey's Spider-Man walked up to Alex Ray and said, "Master, why didn't you wait for us?"
Then, Tobey's version of Peter gently took off his mask, revealing a face filled with resolve and quiet strength.
His gaze shifted to a figure standing not far away—another person in a Spider-Man suit. This was Andrew Garfield's version of Peter.
Their eyes met in the air, sparking with silent recognition, like electric currents colliding midair.
Garfield's Peter looked back at Tobey's with visible shock. He never imagined he'd meet another Spider-Man in such a way—or in this world.
Their eyes were filled with surprise, curiosity, and an unspoken sense of connection.
The two just stood there, staring at each other, as though time itself had frozen.
Sheriff George, still bound by webbing, witnessed the whole scene. His expression shifted rapidly—surprise, confusion, and disbelief.
Yet, as he watched these two Spider-Men stand side by side, he began to accept what Alex Ray had said earlier.
Because only a scenario like this—two Spider-Men in the same world—could explain what was happening.
Alex stood to the side, watching this historic moment unfold, a teasing smirk on his face.
Inside, he was brimming with excitement and satisfaction.
He had once seen this exact scene—three Spider-Men in one frame—in a movie. The excitement and awe from that memory remained vivid in his mind.
He considered Holland's Spider-Man a mere tool, and easily dismissed him.
Now, to witness this moment firsthand, to see it with his own eyes—it was like checking off a personal bucket list item.
But even in the same parallel universe, the two Peters seemed like they came from completely different worlds.
They stood face to face, locked in silence.
Tobey's Peter was filled with confusion and curiosity. He had long anticipated meeting an alternate version of himself in this parallel universe, but now that it was actually happening, he found himself overwhelmed.
He kept turning over in his mind how to start, how to introduce himself, how to voice the questions buzzing inside him.
Naturally introverted and prone to self-doubt, Tobey's Peter struggled to speak.
He feared that saying the wrong thing might disrupt this fragile, miraculous balance—or make him seem foolish.
Garfield's Peter was another matter entirely.
Though surprised at first by the existence of an alternate Spider-Man, he slowly calmed down.
He genuinely wanted to know if the other Peter's life had been as full of suffering and hardship as his own.
Did the other Peter also lose Uncle Ben? Was he an orphan? Did he carry the same kind of pain?
But he knew better than to ask those questions outright. They were too heavy, too painful.
He didn't want to blurt out: "Is your Uncle Ben dead too? Are you alone, like me?"
So instead, he kept his thoughts to himself.
Inside, he was a whirl of conflict.
Part of him hoped this other Peter had a happier life, a loving family. Another part hoped for shared pain, so he wouldn't feel so alone in his suffering.
And that emotional tug-of-war left him speechless.
So the two Spider-Men just stood there, silent.
Both full of questions, both choosing silence instead.
Maybe this was how Spider-Men in parallel universes communicated—with silence, and understanding.
At that tense moment, a flash of green lightning streaked across the sky as Harry arrived, riding his Green Goblin glider.
His arrival immediately drew everyone's attention—especially when he spotted the two Spider-Men together.
A look of astonishment flashed across his face.
Harry was lively, outspoken, never one to hide what he felt.
He glanced at the Garfield Peter across from him—a tall, handsome version of Spider-Man.
He casually slung an arm around Tobey's Peter's shoulder and joked, "Hey Pete, that Spider-Man over there's definitely got you beat in the looks department."
Tobey's Peter, always the shy type, just smiled awkwardly and didn't respond.
He couldn't deny it—Garfield's Peter was indeed more handsome.
He felt a twinge of envy, but there was no jealousy or resentment in his heart.
Strangely, he felt something more akin to kinship, a mysterious bond connecting them.
Garfield's Peter looked on with envy at the friendship between Tobey's Peter and Harry. It reminded him that he had no one like that—no friend to joke with or fight beside.
Then, in a moment of strange synchronicity, both Peters spoke at the same time: "Hi, I'm Peter Parker."
Their voices echoed under the night sky, perfectly aligned.
They both froze, surprised by the perfect timing.
That uncanny harmony stirred something in them—amazement, excitement, even a sense of fate.
Alex Ray finally broke the moment, clearly tired of their awkward tension.
He chuckled and said, "Alright, enough staring. Let's talk somewhere else. The cops are on their way."
His words snapped the two Peters out of their trance. They realized now wasn't the time for long conversations.
Sheriff George stepped forward and spoke to Garfield's Peter. "Go on, get out of here. Leave this to me."
"Let's head to my place," Garfield's Peter said, raising his hand to shoot a web line so the others could follow.
But what caught Garfield's Peter off guard was that Tobey, Harry, and the others weren't looking at him.
They looked at Alex Ray.
Only then did he realize that Alex was the one at the center of the group.
Then Alex turned to Harry and instructed, "Take Dr. Connors with you, too."
Dr. Curt Connors—the Lizard—was, in Alex's view, still a brilliant biologist. He intended to bring him back to Hell's Kitchen.
To Garfield's Peter's astonishment, a shimmering golden portal opened up behind Alex. Calmly, Alex said, "Let's go. I found an empty villa. We can settle there for now."
The mystical portal completely baffled Garfield's Peter. He leapt a few times, trying to understand it.
But Harry and Tobey were already used to it. They stepped into the portal without hesitation.
Harry even carried the unconscious Dr. Connors along with him.
Seeing no other option, Garfield's Peter followed them in.
But as he stepped into the portal, he was stunned by what greeted him.
The floor was littered with bodies—bloody, lifeless corpses of what looked like gangsters.
Fresh blood still flowed from them. They hadn't been dead long.
He stared in disbelief. "Didn't you say this villa was uninhabited?"
Harry, nonchalant, replied, "These guys were criminals. In Brother Alex's eyes, they weren't people anymore."
The explanation unsettled Garfield's Peter. Deep down, he began to quietly label Alex Ray as a dangerous man—someone who saw no distinction between lawbreakers and monsters.
Alex, unbothered, began cleaning up the corpses.
He turned to the two Spider-Men and said, "You two go ahead and catch up. I've got to pick someone else up."
Tobey's Peter looked curious. "Master, who is it?"
"The third Spider-Man," Alex said calmly.
Without further explanation, he opened another portal and vanished on the spot.
That left only the two Peter Parkers—one confused, one intrigued—and Harry, still shaking his head.
"…A third Spider-Man?"
