"Avery!" Daniala groaned through the phone, the kind of groan that could make walls vibrate. Avery couldn't help but chuckle at her best friend's theatrics, already picturing her flopping across her bed dramatically.
"Avery, I think my project is going to get the lowest points in the whole class!" Daniala whined, glaring at the chaos in front of her.
Her desk was a battlefield, papers scattered like fallen soldiers, her laptop half-buried under empty snack wrappers, and her draft presentation looking like a hurricane had hit it.
"Dani, don't worry. We still have time," Avery replied in her usual calm, reassuring tone, her voice like a soothing balm over Daniala's self-inflicted panic. "Just stick to it. With determination, we can do anything!"
"That's easy for you to say, Miss Genius!" Daniala shot back, sounding both annoyed and envious. "Not everyone can magically charm professors with their fancy presentations and flawless reports!"
