Chapter 5 - Bibi Dong’s Plan

At this moment, Bibi Dong truly wished she could find a crack in the ground and crawl into it.

Too embarrassing! All he wanted was to help with her hair, but she thought… and even closed her eyes…

"Why did you close your eyes?" Ao Tian wanted to laugh but held it in.

Looking at Bibi Dong's slightly pouted red lips, he was quite tempted.

But he understood—this kind of thing couldn't be rushed. It had to happen slowly.

Feelings needed time to develop. Ao Tian preferred things to happen naturally.

He was a little surprised himself. He hadn't expected that his charm was so strong that even someone as proud and noble as Bibi Dong would be willing to offer a kiss.

Hearing Ao Tian's words, Bibi Dong grew even more bashful. Her body trembled slightly, and a pink flush spread over her snow-white skin, making her look absolutely stunning.

"What's happening to me? I'm the Holy Maiden of the Spirit Hall, the unparalleled talent Bibi Dong—how could I fall for a stranger…?"

Bibi Dong suddenly snapped back to reality, forcefully pulling her hand away from Ao Tian's and stepping back a few paces, staring at him with guarded eyes.

In just one day, she had been hurt by the two men closest to her. Without realizing it, she had developed a deep hatred for men.

Yet just now, she had unknowingly been lured in by Ao Tian's good looks.

"Who exactly are you?" This was the third time Bibi Dong had asked about Ao Tian's identity.

Still, considering Ao Tian had just saved her, her tone was gentler.

Ao Tian sat by the table, flipped a teacup, poured two cups of tea, and pushed one toward Bibi Dong. "Have some tea."

Bibi Dong hesitated, but after seeing Ao Tian take a sip, she took a small sip herself.

"I'm just a passerby who couldn't stand injustice and stepped in to help," Ao Tian said with a smile.

Bibi Dong didn't believe him. There were just too many suspicious things about him.

"How did you know I was in danger?" Her gaze grew sharp as she scrutinized the man in front of her.

She suspected this might be part of another conspiracy.

"I have some ability to foresee the future," Ao Tian replied.

Bibi Dong clearly didn't believe him. The corner of her mouth curled slightly as she said, "Then why don't you predict what I'm thinking right now?"

Ao Tian gave a radiant smile. His fairy-like handsome face instantly drew Bibi Dong's attention.

"You must be thinking, how could such a good-looking man exist in this world?"

Bibi Dong's pretty face turned red. She quickly looked away, as if Ao Tian had really hit the mark.

She gathered her courage and continued, "Then what's your strength? How could you defeat... defeat Qian Xunji so easily?"

Ao Tian thought for a moment, then answered seriously, "My strength... should be a bit stronger than a god's."

Bibi Dong couldn't help but roll her eyes—her expression adorably dumbfounded.

She was speechless. How could such a good-looking man be such a liar?

She knew gods existed in this world. Gods were far more powerful than a level 99 Titled Douluo.

In fact, she held a secret related to the gods, so she was very aware of how powerful they truly were.

Yet this guy called Ao Tian claimed he was stronger than a god—absolutely ridiculous.

Still, because Ao Tian had saved her, Bibi Dong didn't call him out on his blatant lie.

Actually, she had already made a guess about his strength.

Being able to knock out the level 95 Qian Xunji with one palm—his strength must be near level 99, close to the rank of an ultimate Douluo.

Whether he had actually reached that level, Bibi Dong found it unlikely.

After all, Ao Tian didn't seem much older than her. Possessing strength close to an ultimate Douluo at such a young age was already terrifying—how could he possibly have reached level 99 already?

Thinking of this, Bibi Dong suddenly felt that all the glory that had surrounded her for years seemed to pale in comparison to Ao Tian.

She had always been praised as a genius since childhood and had cultivated with relentless effort. Even now, she was only nearing the Soul Sage level.

Yet this guy might already be approaching level 99…

"How did he even cultivate like this? Spirit Hall always has the best intel. Why haven't we heard of such a powerful person on the continent before?" Bibi Dong pondered.

"What are your plans now?" Ao Tian asked.

Bibi Dong was stunned for a moment and fell silent.

After a while, she finally spoke. "That beast Qian Xunji is no longer my teacher. I always saw him as an elder, respected him, treated him like family, and yet he..."

At this point, Bibi Dong's eyes turned red.

After so many years together, her feelings for Qian Xunji had grown deep—she had even regarded him as a father figure.

But today, that entire foundation had crumbled, leaving her overwhelmed.

"If you want him dead, I'll go kill him right now," Ao Tian said lightly.

To him, killing a Pope was as trivial as swatting a fly.

Seeing Ao Tian stand up, Bibi Dong quickly said, "No."

"What? After what he did to you, you still want to show him mercy?" Ao Tian looked at her.

"He was my teacher after all. He raised me for many years and taught me how to cultivate. Just spare his life."

Ao Tian looked at Bibi Dong in surprise. In his impression, Bibi Dong should've had a tough personality, ruthless and decisive.

But right now, she was being too soft-hearted.

Soon, though, he realized that the Bibi Dong in the story only became that way after enduring much pain and hardship.

The Bibi Dong before him—before being hurt by two men today—was still just an innocent, naïve girl.

Ao Tian said, "Alright. Since you've cut ties with him, where do you plan to go?"

Bibi Dong was stunned. Now that she had fallen out with Qian Xunji, where could she go?

If Qian Xunji refused to let her go, with the Spirit Hall's influence spread across the continent, there might not be a safe place for her in the world.

Suddenly, her eyes lit up. She looked at Ao Tian and said, "Can I go with you?"

Although Bibi Dong kept reminding herself to be cautious of this handsome man, deep down, she had an inexplicable trust in him.

Ao Tian smiled. "Of course you can. I'll take you around the continent. In a few years, you can come back."

"Come back to do what?" Bibi Dong asked curiously.

"Come back and become the Pope," Ao Tian replied with quiet anticipation. He thought Bibi Dong as the Pope was the most beautiful version of her.

Bibi Dong shook her head. "But… I don't really want to be Pope. And besides, how would Qian Xunji ever let me? He still has a father who's already a level 99 ultimate Douluo. They'd never let an outsider like me become Pope."

Ao Tian replied firmly, "Don't worry. If I say you can be Pope, then you can."

"We'll talk about that when the time comes," said Bibi Dong, glancing around the room. "Where are we, anyway?"

"This is a hotel in Spirit City."

"Then… where am I sleeping tonight?" Bibi Dong looked at Ao Tian, nervous, her hands tugging at the hem of her clothes under the table.

Ao Tian pointed at the big bed with a smile. "You're sleeping there."

"Then what about you?" Bibi Dong blurted out.

Ao Tian shrugged indifferently. "Go ahead and sleep. I don't like sleeping anyway."

Meanwhile, in the Papal Palace, Qian Xunji had returned to his bedroom.

One side of his face was swollen high, looking like a purplish-black ball. Almost all his teeth had been knocked out, and blood filled his mouth.

"Someone! Come!" he shouted indistinctly.

A pretty young maid timidly walked in.

Qian Xunji's bloodshot eyes stared at her. In his eyes, the delicate maid gradually began to morph into Bibi Dong's figure.

A sharp scream rang out. The girl was thrown onto the bed. Tearing sounds echoed, followed by desperate pleas.
