Chapter 8 - Su Yuntao is Quite Good

Inside the Notting City branch hall, in the Hall Master's office.

Ao Tian leaned back comfortably in the Hall Master's plush office chair, looking at a full-figured, beautiful woman standing respectfully across the desk.

This woman was the Hall Master of the Notting City branch hall, appearing to be around forty years old, wearing black-rimmed glasses and a tight professional suit that made her look sharp and capable.

She poured a cup of tea for Ao Tian, then pulled out a Soul Awakening Certificate and an admission notice from the Notting Academy on the desk, saying,

"Young Master Ao, this is the certificate issued by the Notting City branch hall for you."

Ao Tian remained calm, nodding slightly.

He first looked at the Soul Awakening Certificate. It bore his name, listed his spirit beast as a Golden Dragon, with innate full soul power, and his identity as a child from the nearby Shangshui Village of Notting City.

This type of spirit beast and innate soul power level was exactly what he requested. Though he disliked being flashy, he didn't want to be too low-key either. To him, innate level 10 soul power was just right.

As for his identity, it was forged. Otherwise, it would be unreasonable for a genius of the Spirit Hall like him to attend school in such a remote place.

To study at the Notting City Primary Soul Master Academy, one first needed a soul awakening certificate issued by the local branch hall.

With this certificate and the admission notice, Ao Tian could enter the academy smoothly.

While Ao Tian was examining the documents, the middle-aged woman was also scrutinizing him.

She was very surprised. This little boy, though looking no older than six or seven, sitting there gave her the feeling of a heavy mountain pressing down on her heart.

At first, she wanted to treat him like an ordinary child and coax him, but the invisible pressure Ao Tian radiated made her give up on that thought.

"No wonder he's a genius from the Hall of the Emperor; even I, a soul master, can hardly compare to his aura," she thought.

She decided she must get on good terms with Ao Tian—maybe it could bring her great fortune in the future.

Ao Tian put down the documents and said,

"Thank you, Hall Master Li. Please arrange a room for me to rest now."

"Young Master Ao, you're too polite. The Emperor himself has instructed me to fulfill all your requests," the Hall Master Li said hurriedly. "Please follow me."

Short-statured Ao Tian followed behind Hall Master Li; his height was only about as high as her hips. This scene immediately attracted the attention of many attendants in the branch hall.

Although the Notting City branch hall was small, it had over a dozen attendants. They had seen the Hall Master solemnly receive Ao Tian but did not know who he was and were very curious.

Suddenly, Hall Master Li stopped, waved at the crowd, and called out,

"Sisi, come here."

"Oh." A girl replied and hurried toward Ao Tian.

She looked about twenty years old, tall and curvy, stretching the uniform of the Spirit Hall taut, every move attracting many male attendants' burning gazes.

"So this is Sisi? The woman who's got Su Yuntao completely infatuated?" Ao Tian's gaze landed on Sisi.

Then he scanned the male attendants and thought, "Which one is Su Yuntao?"

Sisi quickly followed Hall Master Li, glanced back at Ao Tian, her eyes lingering on his face for a long time, unable to look away.

This little boy was stunningly handsome—she had never seen such a good-looking kid.

"Hall Master, who is he?" Sisi whispered.

"A genius from the Hall of the Emperor," Hall Master Li replied.

Sisi's eyes lit up, and she looked deeply at Ao Tian again.

A genius from the Hall of the Emperor was a big deal.

They in Notting City would probably only ever stay in this small corner of the world, but if they could get close to a genius from the Hall of the Emperor…

Thinking this, Sisi looked gratefully at the Hall Master.

After a moment, they arrived at a prepared guest room.

"Young Master Ao, Notting Academy officially starts tomorrow. Please rest here tonight."

Ao Tian nodded and said,

"You may leave now."

Hall Master Li said,

"Young Master Ao, this is Miss Sisi of our Notting City branch hall. If you need anything, just ask her."

She then looked at Sisi, saying,

"Sisi, take care of Young Master Ao."

Sisi smiled, visibly excited, saying,

"Don't worry, I will take good care of Young Master Ao."

As she spoke, her hand reached toward Ao Tian's head, gently saying,

"Little brother, you are so handsome."

Hall Master Li was shocked and about to stop her, but it was too late.

Ao Tian raised his head and looked at the nearly 1.8-meter tall woman, snorting coldly.

The temperature in the entire room plummeted sharply. A terrifying chill invaded the two women's bodies, penetrating their bones and souls.

They found they couldn't move and involuntarily felt an overwhelming fear.

It was as if a ferocious dragon was staring at them, ready to tear them apart in the next moment.

You don't touch a tiger's butt, and the head of a giant dragon is just as untouchable.

The chill lasted only half a minute, but both women were barely able to hold on, nearly fainting before Ao Tian withdrew his killing intent.

"Huff… huff…"

The two women collapsed weakly on the floor, gasping, their faces pale, looking at Ao Tian like a demon.

"Do you like Su Yuntao?" Ao Tian glanced at Sisi.

Sisi didn't understand why Ao Tian asked such a question.

As she thought about how to answer, her mouth opened uncontrollably,

"No, I don't like him. That guy keeps pestering me, but I think he's somewhat useful, so I keep him hanging. Otherwise, I would have rejected him long ago."

"You two may leave now." Ao Tian said.

Both women felt their bodies relax and realized their clothes were soaked with cold sweat.

Hall Master Li, a soul master, barely stood up, her legs weak.

She pulled Sisi up and forced a smile,

"Young Master Ao, please rest. We won't disturb you anymore."

"By the way, Su Yuntao is quite good. Tomorrow have him escort me to register at Notting Academy," Ao Tian said.

Hall Master Li was surprised but smiled,

"Okay, I will arrange it."

The two women left, and only then did Ao Tian sit down.

He named Su Yuntao specifically because he felt a small sympathy for the young man.

Whether from reading the book in his previous life or now, he thought this guy had a tough time.

Because of this request, Su Yuntao's status in the Notting City Spirit Hall should rise considerably.

"The feeling of going to school... I really miss it a bit…"

"Hall Master, that kid..."

"Silence!" Hall Master Li whispered harshly,

"He is a dignitary from the Hall of the Emperor. Remember, never offend him. Address him as Young Master Ao, or Sir."

She pulled Sisi quickly away. Once out of Ao Tian's room, she visibly relaxed.

"That dignitary's strength is definitely far greater than mine," Hall Master Li said, face full of shock.

"Impossible! He's just a kid!" Sisi exclaimed.

"Nothing is impossible," Hall Master Li said coldly.

"Do you know that your foolish behavior just now almost got us both killed?"

Cold sweat broke out on Sisi's forehead, and she felt terrified.

"Hall Master, I know my mistake." Sisi bowed her head.

"Good. Go inform Su Yuntao to take Young Master Ao to Notting Academy tomorrow morning… No, I'll tell him myself. You go back now. Remember, don't leak Young Master Ao's identity."

With that, Hall Master Li hurried away.

"Su Yuntao…" Sisi instantly felt that the young man always around her was incredibly handsome…

The next morning,

When Ao Tian stepped out of the room, Su Yuntao was already waiting respectfully at the door.

"Good morning, Young Master Ao," Su Yuntao greeted.
