Chapter 117: Medicals and Decisions
Tuesday, July 13, 2010
A cold morning settled over Broadfield Stadium. Niels arrived early. He had a lot to deal with that day.
Pogba's medical was scheduled for that morning, while Freeman's loan move was still being worked out. With the first fixtures getting closer, both deals had become important to his plans for the season.
Niels opened his notebook. It was filled with tactical ideas and notes on both players. Their names were marked in red, along with the role he expected each of them to play in the team.
Even in the quiet, Niels could still remember the noise of the crowd. For him, it was never just about the matches. It was the work behind them, the long hours, the setbacks, and the determination of a town that kept supporting the club.
The players showed that same determination in different ways. Max never stopped working, Thiago brought his skill and confidence, and Dev was always looking for the next opening.
