Breaking the Binding
Arin's Perspective
Before anyone could blink, the red-eyed werewolves sprang at us.
"Run!" Kael grabbed my hand and yelled.
But there was nowhere to go. These wolves moved more quickly than I had ever seen, and they surrounded us in the clearing. In the dark, their crimson eyes shone like fire.
"Stay behind me!" With a shout, Jaxon transformed into a wolf. Rowan's black fur was a blur in the moonlight, and he was already engaged in combat with three wolves. We were outnumbered ten to one, despite the fact that I was protected by all three triplets.
Alpha Vaughn said, "I apologize," over the growl. "But if I gave them Arin, they said they would spare the pack."
"Who are they?" One of the red-eyed wolves almost slipped past Kael, and I screamed.
"Blood Wolves," Alpha Vaughn answered. "Werewolves who exchanged their souls for power." The highest bidder is served by them.
