Chapter 1
Slam!
Mrs Anderson striked Katie across the cheek and she frenetically staggered backwards then fell on her kneels.
"You disgrace! You pathetic excuse of a child! Mrs Anderson caused loudly. The storm brewing in her eyes matched the level of words she sprouted.
"Look at what you have done to yourself, you disgust me." Mr Anderson interceded gazing at his daughter repulsively.
"Mother…..Father., please forgive me, it wasn't my fault" Katherine's who was on her kneels pleaded earnestly.
"Then whose fault is it sister? Daisy questioned rhetorically.
"You go out there, get yourself defiled and now you are here whining like a child, whose fault is it?
Daisy had her arms crossed in her chest as she walked in circles around Katie. She gazed at Katie as if she was some prey she was hunting down.
Daisy has always hated Katie, half of what Katie got as a child she didn't have it. She was always the second best, the backup child, the wallflower. What didn't she do to gain her parents' favour? She did everything!
She strived and earned her master's degree as a doctor. Even though she pulled some twigs to make sure her certificate came out perfectly, it still didn't arouse the attention of her parents. She was still ignored, it was as if she didn't even exist in the first place.
Now that her sister had finally gone against the rules of the Anderson household she wanted to use this as an opportunity to get back at her.
"Sister, just take a look at yourself, you have lost your dignity, instead of you to be making amends, you are acting puerile, sobbing like a pathetic child!
Katie focused her gaze on her father, if she could get him to forgive her, the rest of the family had no choice.
She crawled up to where Mr Anderson was sitting and tried to touch his feet, but he withdrew his legs. Katie was in so much pain, if only they would give her a chance to tell the full story.
"Father at least here what I have to say, I was molested, raped! Katie choked in her tears
"I warned you, didn't I? You were old enough to take over the company and make me and your father proud but no, you wanted to have fun, you took on a job that doesn't befit your title." Mrs Anderson scrutinized Katie from head to toe
Mr Anderson clenched his fist, he was a well-bred man he would never raise his hand at a woman, but he felt like hitting his daughter at that moment to snap some senses into her.
"Father I need justice." Katherine who was fondly called Katie's shrilled in anguish.
"I didn't go around sleeping with different men, for goodness sake I was raped!
Daisy scoffed loudly…."Is this your pathetic excuse of trying to gain pity from our parents Katherine? You really do know how to amaze me."
Katherine knew that her sister had always hated her, but no matter what she always doted on her. Why was she returning her care and love with disdain?
"Daisy why are you talking like this? I was raped, I was defiled and you say it is just an excuse to gain sympathy?
Katherine was searching for the place in her sister's eyes that held a little love for her but she found none. Daisy's eyes held nothing but disgust, pain, envy….she could go on and on.
All of a sudden Katherine was full of regret, she shouldn't have taken that job. She had all the things money could buy and a perfect family. She didn't need to sweat to earn money; she was the next in line to the family business, the sole heiress of the Anderson's family business.
What was she thinking when she took that job?
She thought it would just be for a while, she wanted to see how life outside of wealth was. She wanted to be free and live her life the way she wanted to, before she was trapped with the rules that came with being a heiress.
She had one thing in mind, immediately it was time to take over the company, she would quit her low class job.
All the pressure that came with being a heiress was overwhelming, she had informed her parents of her idea of taking a job as a waitress but they strongly opposed it. It was ridiculous! How could their daughter work as a waitress in a hotel?
Katie has never appeared in public as Miss Anderson before, so nobody knew what she looked like. It was always Daisy that posed at her, Daisy attended every fancy party her parents were invited to. She would flaunt her wealth and pose as the eldest daughter of the Anderson family.
Katie was the rightful owner of all the money she used to buy herself fancy clothes and expensive jewelry. The rising numbers of cars in the garage that Daisy owned, it was her money that was used to buy them.
Daisy got a masters in doctorate but she didn't even know the basics of what it took to become one. She was a pretty demon sent from hell to frustrate all of Katie's hard work.
As the apparent heiress to the family business, Katherine had a lot of money deposited in her account. This was the money Daisy used extravagantly, Daisy had her own money but she preferred to help her sister spend her's.
"You have lost your face in the family Katie, you will no longer be the heiress to the family business." Mr Anderson's sudden outburst drained the remaining blood in Katie's face, her face became as white as snow.
Even for her that punishment was too much, he was snatching her birthright away from her. "Father, how can you do this? What have I done to deserve this?
"Please reconsider…." Katie was interceded.
"Keep quiet! Daisy shrilled bluntly. All of a sudden she had all the right to bully her elder sister and her parents won't interfere this time. Katie has lost her favour in their sight, now it was her turn to rise up as the apparent heiress to the family business.
"Mother…."Katherine was choking in her tears. "Mother plead with father to reconsider his decision, please I can't lose my birthright." Katherine was heartbroken and devastated.
"I will do no such thing Katherine, you got what you deserve, next time you will be more careful. Your sister Daisy will become the sole heiress to the family multi billionaire business." Her mother's words pierced her heart.
Katherine lost her voice at that moment, so this was it? Everything she had ever trained for will go down the drain in just a few hours. She expected her parents to sympathize with her, but all they did was gaze at her with nothing but apex disgust.
She was raped and left in pain, abandoned like a lost sheep. Now here she was pleading for justice from her own family!
"I thought family was everything, family stands together, family always has each other's back." Katherine said in a whisper when she finally found her voice.
"Fine, I accept your punishment, but I just have one request to make, find me the man who did this to me." Katie's eyes were cold filled with pain.
"If you won't look me in the face, at least give me the justice I deserve." Katherine wanted to scream her lungs out, she wanted to find the man who defiled her, the man who had managed to ruin her entire life in just one night.
She had run out of the hospital in pain, she was drenched by the stormy rain that was pouring outside. She came all the way to the Anderson Mansion to cry for justice, and she wasn't leaving until she got one.
Her parents had the resources to find that man in less than an hour, if she had to lose her birthright and everything she had ever worked for she could live with that.
But how could she live knowing that the man that caused her downfall was still roaming around as free as a bird?
Mr Anderson gave Katherine a fierce gaze and said….
