Souna herself couldn't quite define her feelings for Arthas. With her other familiar, their relationship was purely fraternal; Arthas felt the same.

However, as they spent more time together, Souna quickly realized she couldn't simply view him as a familiar.

She missed him when he was away, losing focus at work when he wasn't there. When she cheerfully sent him to Rias, smiling as she said he'd be her familiar for a few days, Souna's heart ached.

Though proud of Arthas and thrilled by his impressive performance in the Rating Game, a deep bitterness remained.

Because the person he fiercely protected wasn't her. The person who gained glory because of him wasn't her.

Arthas was right; she was jealous, deeply jealous. Jealous of Rias, who could openly declare Arthas as her familiar, while she, also his master, could only watch from the sidelines.

It was fundamentally unfair. Arthas was equally her familiar. Why…? Why…?

Souna trembled uncontrollably, the injustice overwhelming her, tears welling up.

Noticing Souna's distress, Arthas offered a gentle smile, his embrace tightening, as if wanting to completely envelop her delicate form.

"If you want to cry… then cry your heart out. Be as clingy as you like, Souna-senpai."

Inhaling her scent, Arthas's languid voice filled the air.

"Hurry! Someone's coming!" Frantically straightening her clothes, Souna pushed Arthas away, tugging at his hands.

"What's the rush? I told you, without your say-so, they wouldn't dare enter."

Arthas, still languid and unrepentant, remained clinging to Souna.

"Ugh… don't do that."

"President? Why have you been chatting with Arthas for so long? I'm coming in!"

A male voice called from outside—Genshirou Saji, a familiar face to Arthas.

"Genshirou Saji, I'm fine. Arthas and I have something very important to discuss."

Seeing Arthas's unwillingness to move, Souna said helplessly.

"President, what's wrong with you today? I'm worried." As the voice finished, the doorknob turned, and Genshirou Saji walked in.

"How dare you! Who gave you permission to enter?!" Souna's face flushed with anger at Genshirou Saji's intrusion.

"President, you! Why are you hugging Arthas like that? What were you two doing locked in this room for so long?!" Genshirou Saji's face reddened as he yelled at the sight of the embracing couple.

Ignoring Souna's reprimand, Genshirou Saji's anger intensified.

"Genshirou Saji, how dare you! Who's the master here, you or me?!" Souna's expression turned cold at Genshirou Saji's outburst.

"What I do with Souna-senpai… is none of your business."

Arthas, harboring little fondness for the hostile youth, responded coolly, removing his hand from Souna.

Disobeying the master's orders and entering private quarters without permission was tantamount to rebellion. Arthas's gaze turned cold.

"You bastard! 'Souna-senpai' is not for you to use!"

Like an enraged beast, Genshirou Saji took a step closer.

"Genshirou Saji!" Souna slammed her fist on the table, shouting his name.

"Pre… President." Genshirou Saji stopped, his face contorted with pain and anguish.

"Genshirou Saji, as a Pawn, are you betraying me?"

Souna stared coldly at the youth she also treated as a brother. Clearly, though, her feelings for Arthas were far stronger than those for Genshirou Saji.

It might sound cruel, but it was the truth. Arthas was exceptionally talented, far surpassing Genshirou Saji, causing Souna to focus all her attention on Arthas, fearing she'd lose him to Rias.

This had gradually blossomed into feelings Souna couldn't control.

"President…" Genshirou Saji tried to speak but couldn't find the words.

"Now, get out!" Souna pointed to the door, her voice icy.

"Yes, President." Genshirou Saji, regaining his composure, retreated slowly, his eyes fixed on Arthas with hatred.

The door closed softly. The last image Genshirou Saji saw was Souna's slightly flushed, breathing face.

Click. Genshirou Saji bit his lip hard, drawing blood.

Kill him… I must kill him. The President is mine… always mine…

Wiping the blood from his lip, ignoring curious stares, Genshirou Saji stumbled out of the Student Council room.

"Ugh…" Souna slumped onto the desk after Genshirou Saji left, drained of energy.

"It's my fault. I didn't expect… him to just walk in."

Arthas sighed, also surprised by Genshirou Saji's intrusion.

"I didn't expect… it to be him…"

Souna offered a wry smile.

"It can't be helped. My Souna-senpai is so beautiful; being secretly admired is only natural."

"I'll explain things to him. I'll clarify our relationship. Arthas, you should avoid Genshirou Saji for a while."

"Don't worry. I'm not petty. We're both your familiars, your Pawns."

"I don't have disobedient Pawns like you. I told you not to act up…"

Souna grumbled, her tone clearly petulant.

"Alright, back to work."

Souna said, and Arthas nodded, leaving the Student Council President's office.

The incident was a minor setback for Arthas; as Souna's familiar, he assumed Genshirou Saji would accept that his master had a lover.

However, things took an unexpected turn. At the end of the school day, Souna anxiously told him that Genshirou Saji was missing.

"Hah… missing? Did he run off somewhere to cry because of unrequited love?"

"I hope… that's the case."

Souna sighed helplessly, clearly unaware of Genshirou Saji's deep feelings for her.

Souna quickly forgot about Genshirou Saji, her heart racing as she recalled her words in the President's office.

She'd agreed… tonight, she would become Arthas's woman.

Genshirou Saji's disappearance didn't cause much commotion; Souna and her other familiars assumed he'd left early for some reason.

On a quiet night, a distraught youth stumbled through deserted streets. Closing his eyes, he saw Souna and Arthas embracing.

He'd loved the President for so long, even dreaming of marriage and children, but why?

Why this sudden, inexplicable arrival of this man?

A mysterious familiar, often absent, whom the President constantly defended and treated with such intimacy.

He'd only been there a month; he was just a Pawn, while Genshirou Saji was a Pawn created from four devil pieces!

Why? Why would the President fall for him?! What was he lacking?!

Genshirou Saji raged silently, wanting to scream, but could only collapse in agony.

Then, footsteps approached. A man appeared before him.

"Oh… lost devil. Do you desire… power? Power to obtain everything you want?"
