The accident happened in the afternoon, but by the time Crystal Foster and Martin Riley arrived the next morning, Alex Elliott was still unconscious.
"Sir, ma'am, there's no need to worry," the nurse reassured them. "The doctor said Alex is out of danger and could wake up at any moment."
"What about the accident? Was it an accident?" Martin asked, holding Crystal close as he looked up at Henry.
Henry shook his head. "This wasn't an accident. The brake lines on Alex's car were deliberately cut, and the surveillance cameras on that stretch of road were disabled just ten minutes before the crash. The police have already started an investigation. I've hired a lawyer, and he's coordinating with the police."
"If it wasn't an accident, then it was deliberate. The only person who could have done this is Daisy Sanchez. She might really be here."
Crystal, however, wasn't convinced. After all, Daisy was so fond of Alex. How could she possibly harm him?
