Looking at the White couple who had come to visit, Crystal Foster had no desire to interact with them. She chose to stay in her room, playing with Otto, leaving everything to Martin Riley.
"Mr. Riley, we came today to formally apologize," Michael said sincerely, placing a gift on the table and smiling at Martin. But before he could continue, Martin cut him off mercilessly.
"Mr. Michael, I think you misunderstand the situation. The person who should apologize isn't you, and the one who should receive it isn't me. Isabella is the one who did wrong. Is she not here to apologize because she thinks she's done nothing wrong?"
Martin looked up, his gaze cold and his jaw clenched, clearly angry.
Michael panicked and quickly explained, "Mr. Riley, Isabella knows she was wrong, but her illness has flared up again, and she really can't come out."
