I lifted my hand and directed a blast of wind towards the target.
It went towards the target then deviated to another direction. I took a deep breath and tried again and again but none seemed to hit.
Defeated, I fell on my knees.
"Why can't this work?" I pushed myself up. I tried again but it deviated.
"Lord" I screamed out in frustration.
"Aviva, what are you doing?"a familiar deep silky voice called out.
"Kyle, what are you doing here?"
"I thought I could train a little,you seem to be struggling"
I nodded"no kidding"
"Why?" He looked surprised
"The thing is I'm mostly used to using wind as a form of defense but I want to be able to attack,I know there is more to it than I know"
"Hmm"he nodded "In that case let's have a match"
"Okay"I readied my stance.
He stepped back calmly and raised his hand,large golems of earth came up charging at me.
They are too many for me to go head on I looked at the golems then without moving a muscle,I summoned a huge storm of wind scattering the golems.
"Nice"I could see the smirk forming on his lips. "But I'm just getting started"just as he finished,the ground shook and I lost my footing landing on the floor.
"There's no way I can stand on this, talk more of fighting" I whispered to myself.
"You know, this whole ground shifting thing would have been the end card"
He smiled knowingly.
"If I couldn't fly"I said wiping the smile off then I ascended to the sky leaving him surprised for a slight second before regaining his composure.
He raised his palm up and a massive wall rose up behind him.
"What's a wall gonna do" I spoke too soon as I saw many arrows shoot out from the earth wall ceaselessly.
I rose my palm and a huge palm shaped wind blew all the arrows aside, I clenched my fist and the palm did same, I raised my fist and punched the air but the massive palm punched the earth wall shattering it, debris flying about.
"Not bad" Kyle dusted the dirt off his clothes.
I nodded struggling to catch my breath, the last attack took so much of my strength, I had never shaped wind before.
"Let's go again"I said pushing aside the stray strands of my dark pink hair that was wet with sweat from my eyes.
Kyle seemed to see my struggling to catch my breath.
"Are you okay, Aviva?"
I nodded"let's continue"
"Are you sure,we can stop if you can't go on"
You can't go on
His words reminded me of what my family would say anytime the issue of training came up.
I inherited my wind ability from my mom out of all my siblings, when she died my dad hated me afterwards,I guess I reminded him so much of her, after all only I inherited her dark pink hair.
I blinked my eyes trying to keep the tears from falling, looking up to the sky,it seemed I finally kept it but a traitor tear escaped. I reached out to wipe it."Come on Aviva,get a hold of yourself,you need to toughen up"
"Aviva, what's wrong?"
Kyle's voice brought me back from my thoughts.

I looked at Aviva as she stood still. It seemed my words struck something in her.
I saw her look at the sky then wipe a tear off.
"Aviva, what's wrong?,did I do something?"
She cleaned her face before looking at me,her normal smile returning to her face.
"I'm fine, nothing for you to be worried about"
I released a breath I didn't even know I was holding.
"I think I'm done with training,thank you so much"
"No problem,Vi"

I saw her smile before nodding.
"I'll see you later"I said heading off.
"Yeah"

"Layton, any news"I looked up to see a male figure with blood red hair and teal colored eyes.
"No sir Alaster,I sent my assistant to spy on him"
"We need to hurry up,I fear Mila and Ezra are already a step ahead of me"

"Aren't you scared someone else might discover it"
"No only people who have the supreme gods in them can use the magic gems,and as far as I am there are six people with supreme gods in them in this world apart from you"
I widened my eyes in shock "seven that's hella plenty"

Alaster sighed exasperatedly"Because, Layton your blood is still water and she can control water but her application of blood magic is rather narrow,she can only control their movement but I on the other hand can do lots more"
I nodded.
"What would happen if all the Supreme gods were to awaken?"
Alaster narrowed his eyes but smiled nonetheless"that my boy would mean trouble,now go and get the others we need to stop that from happening if I want to be revived and if you want to have that desperately desired revenge of yours"
