Knock knock
The incessant knocking woke Kyle up, his roommate Luka had earlier left to do something.
"Yes who is it"He groggily stood up making his way to the door.
"It's me Liana" she could swear she heard him groan,my heart tightened at the thought of that.
"Yes, what's up"
"Aviva and Evette wanted to have a match with you and I volunteered to come get you"
"Okay,I'm coming"
He looked at the clock beside the bed as it read 10:30,he was so happy it was Saturday so he has few things to do and none of his friends were having any matches today.
He cleaned himself up,grabbed a white T-shirt with black pants and a dark blue jacket.
Stepping out of his room he met Liana on her phone,seeing him she straightened herself and arranged her black crop top that went well with her dark-blue pants and white jacket.
"Hey we're wearing the same colours"
"Hmmm,you don't say"he gave her a small smile that didn't reach his eyes.
"Let's go"she got ahead of him.

"Hey E" Aviva called out to her.
She nodded.
"Where are the rest"
"Liana volunteered to go get Kyle, Cia and Jude are on their way"
"Okay how bout we warm up while they're on their way "
Evette nodded again readying stance.
Aviva was the first to attack sending a huge gust of wind that lifted Evette off the floor sending her flying a few metres backwards.
Aviva stopped the wind to see what had happened to Evette. As the wind calmed down,Evette rushed to her side and attempted delivering a spinning fire kick to Aviva but she dodged speedily too.
"How did she get there so fast" Aviva whispered to herself. She was brought out of her thoughts when Evette sent a huge fireball towards her but she extinguished it midway.
Evette kept on throwing fireballs but she kept extinguishing it midway then she sent a massive wind towards her and Evette stumbled backwards.
"She keeps using wind to extinguish my flames so I have to get up close"
Evette ran towards Aviva dodging all the wind slashes that were sent her way.
When she got close enough,she sent a huge fireball towards Aviva but she dodged reappearing at another part of the field.
"I can't use fireball without her extinguishing it"
Evette thought in silence as she wondered what to do then an idea popped in her mind. She created a long fire whip,she swung it at Aviva but she dodged gracefully.
She turned around to see Aviva in the air holding a bow and arrows both made of wind, she took three arrows, placing them in her bow she shot all three of them at Evette whose eyes widened but she dodged two and wrapped her whip around the third arrow, she spun her whip then sent the arrow flying back at Aviva.
Seeing the arrow headed towards her, Aviva held out her palm and waved it turning the arrow back into wind. She looked at Evette on the ground then sent a air made tendril at Evette but she created at a fire shield protecting herself.
Evette wrapped her whip around Aviva's left leg,she swung it to the floor bringing Aviva down with it.
Aviva stayed on the floor before she bounced back to her feet.
"You're good Aviva"
"You too,E"
Evette sent flame ray from her palm towards Aviva but she dodged it by leaping up.
She landed on the floor, almost immediately Evette sent another flame ray, Aviva was caught unawareness, just as the flame ray was about to hit her,there was a huge wind and an air palm appeared blocking the flame ray.
The palm moved towards Evette blocking the flame ray from reaching Aviva,both girls shocked at this.
The palm finally reached Evette,it turned into a fist then punched Evette but Evette blocked it with her fire shield but the palm was stronger,she pushed her shield up and stumbled backwards avoiding the punch.
Both girls were too engrossed in their match that they had failed to notice their friends watching them.
The palm disappeared and an exasperated Aviva fell on one knee struggling to catch her breath,she had pushed her limit and her body was aching.
She looked up to see that Evette had sent a flame ray towards her,she couldn't do anything,it was like her body was frozen.
She closed her eyes bracing herself for the burn but it never came,she opened her eyes to see that Ciara had stepped in creating a water barrier,"How did she get here so fast" Aviva thought. Once the ray of flame finished, Ciara brought the barrier down.
She stared at Evette as Liana went over to help Aviva.
"I think that's enough E,you both did exceptionally well"her cool voice spoke up no trace of emotion in her voice. To this Evette only nodded.
She walked over to Aviva,her curly red hair stuck to her face because of sweat.
"That was a nice fight,you know you're much more powerful than you look and you've gotten a lot more stronger too,that's a huge improvement"
"Thanks,you too, your fire power is definitely a force"
"And hey,I'm sorry for still attacking you even when you were struggling"
Aviva smiled"No problem"
"I think it's okay to say you two are ready for your match,so Jude how about me and you have a match"Kyle looked at Jude.
"You do know,I don't have an ability but you still want to have a match with me"
"So,how do you plan on winning your own match in the third week"
Jude closed his eyes for a split second and sighed"honestly I don't know"
Kyle searched his voice for any emotion but his voice was monotone,no emotions added.
"Kyle,if you really want a match why not have it with me?"
All eyes turned to Ciara as she finished suggesting it.They were surprised but it was safe to say he was the most confused.
She walked to Jude's side"I saw you were uncomfortable so I helped, friends do that, don't they"she spoke,her voice was not loud but loud enough for Jude to hear.
"Even when she is being nice,her voice is still emotionless"Jude thought almost laughing to himself.
"Thank you"
He watched as she went to meet Kyle who was already stretching his body for the fight,when he saw her he readied his stance,she did same"
"Start"Liana spoke up.
Ciara waved her hands in the air, condensing the air and forming water,she enclosed her hands in it as she ran towards Kyle.
Kyle attempted slowing her down by raising an earth wall but she simply smashed it and continued running towards him. She snuck up on him and attempted punching him but he dodged.
She created a wall of water behind her and ice shards shot out of the wall ceaselessly, Kyle mirrored her and created a wall of his own,the ice shards breaking apart upon contact.
She sent a stream of water knocking him backwards but he stabled himself. He put his palm on the ground and a giant arrow came out towards Ciara but she summoned a pillar of water,once the arrow passed midway,she turned the water to ice thereby stopping the arrow.
She held out her right palm and created water blasts at Kyle but he kept blocking it,she created a fist of ice and punched Kyle but he stopped her fist with his own earth fist,as the two fist collided,they scattered sending ice shards and earth particles everywhere.
The two stood still for a moment waiting for each other to attack first and Kyle shot another giant arrow to Ciara and she attempted making a dome of ice but the arrow broke through it instantly leaving Ciara shocked.
She held out her palm in the air and a pillar of water descended on it leaving him drenched and she used the time when he was distracted and froze the floor freezing his feet. She continued freezing him till he was halfway frozen.
"That was awesome"Liana exclaimed with awestruck eyes."You guys are totes ready for your respective matches this coming week"
Kyle smiled.
"Well now that that's settled I need to eat"Liana looked at the rest as they all agreed.
