Page 1
A panoramic shot of a magical town nestled on a hill — with books literally floating through the air like birds.
Buildings are shaped like open tomes, scrolls hang like banners, and magical scholars walk through the streets.
LEO (off-panel):
"Wooooah…"
Page 2
Leo and Leon walk into town. Leo is wide-eyed and dodging a flying encyclopedia.
Leon is clearly unfazed.
LEO:
"This place is amazing! Look at that guy—his beard's writing by itself!"
LEON:
"Spellbeard. Pain to fight, worse in debates."
Page 3
Cut to a guild hall—huge domed library with floating staircases.
A grumpy old librarian with six pairs of glasses, Archivist Mellin, greets them.
MELLIN:
"You again, Leon?! Last time you left with three banned tomes and a talking cactus!"
LEON:
"Still have the cactus. He's very judgmental."
Page 4
Mellin inspects Leo, unimpressed.
MELLIN:
"This is your chosen one? He smells like burnt soup."
LEO (defensive):
"It was lightning bees, okay?!"
Page 5
Mellin leads them to a sealed chamber beneath the guild.*
Ancient glowing books circle a pedestal. A glyph hums beneath it.
LEON:
"Thread #2 is hidden here—under the Glyph of Memory. To unlock it, Leo has to pass the trial."
LEO:
"What kind of trial?"
MELLIN:
"The worst kind. A magical pop quiz."
Page 6
Leo is thrust into a floating classroom. Dozens of glowing quills hover, ready to write.
Mellin watches from behind a magical pane with Leon sipping tea.
LEON:
"Tests used to be lava and swords. This is somehow scarier."
Page 7
Inside the test: Leo faces questions that play out like illusions.
He must solve a riddle while riding a flying book.
Navigate a memory maze of his own past.
Debate a magical clone of himself (the clone is smug).
Page 8
Leo stumbles through it, almost gives up—but remembers Leon's smirk.
CLONE LEO (taunting):
"You're just a dumb kid with a wooden sword. You'll mess it up like always."
LEO (serious):
"Maybe. But this time… I won't run."
He slams the book shut, dissolving the illusion.
Page 9
Back in the real world, the Glyph of Memory fades. A glowing Thread floats into Leo's hand.
Leon claps once, slowly.
LEON:
"Two Threads down. Not bad for someone who faceplanted into soup last week."
LEO:
"I'm learning from the best."
LEON (raising an eyebrow):
"You're clearly not."
Page 10 (Final panel):
They leave the town at sunset. Books fly overhead.
Mellin waves, muttering about stolen quills.
