The Legend of the Snail and the Dragon
(From the Fractured Hymns of Andromeda)
Before light had memory, and before the first stars learned to burn, Andromeda dreamed.
From that dream she shaped a creature of spirals and silence — a being vast enough to cradle galaxies in its shell. This was The Snail of the Void, patient and endless, whose trail shimmered with forgotten time.
The Snail was not born to wander, but to consume. Andromeda set it upon the Dragon's world — a realm of radiant order, where constellations coiled around the Dragon's golden heart. The Snail devoured the stars, winding them into the chambers of its shell until even the Dragon's own sky grew dim.
But the Dragon did not die. From the shadows of lost suns, it gathered the light that remained and kindled it into fury. Its roar split the veil between galaxies. Nebulae trembled. The Snail shuddered beneath its shell as the Dragon rose — scales glinting with every color of dawn.
When the Dragon reclaims its stolen world, the heavens themselves shall turn to glass. The veil will break, and every star — even those beyond knowing — will be seen.
And in that moment, Andromeda's dream will awaken once more…
