The Princess Without Freedom
Ten years ago, in a beautiful mansion surrounded by tall gates and heavily guarded walls, a family of three sat together in the dining room, eating happily.
Mira sat between her parents, enjoying her breakfast. She suddenly looked at her mother with excitement in her eyes.
"Mommy, are we still going for the Christmas vacation?" Mira asked.
Her mother smiled warmly at her.
"Yes, princess. We are still going."
Mira's face immediately lit up with happiness.
"Mommy, when are we leaving?"
This time, it was her father who answered.
"Mira, we are leaving this weekend."
"Okay, Daddy," Mira replied happily.
She continued eating, already excited about the Christmas vacation.
Mira was the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Jones, so she was always treated like a princess.
Her father, Mr. Jones, was the CEO of J&M Company, a successful company that had been doing extremely well for years.
The Jones family lived a luxurious life. They had servants, expensive cars, a large mansion, and everything money could buy.
After they finished eating, Mr. and Mrs. Jones prepared for work.
"Take care of yourself, princess," her mother said before leaving.
"I will, Mommy."
Her father kissed her forehead.
"Be a good girl."
"Okay, Daddy."
Soon, her parents left for work.
Mira returned to her room and sat on her bed.
She looked around the beautiful room filled with toys, books, expensive dresses, and everything she could possibly want.
She had everything.
Or at least, that was what everyone thought.
A few minutes later, someone knocked on her door.
"Come in," Mira said.
The door opened, and her nanny walked inside.
"Miss Mira, your home teacher is here."
Mira sighed.
"Okay. I'll be there."
Mira was homeschooled.
Her parents did not allow her to attend a regular school because they wanted to keep her safe from the outside world.
She had never understood what was so dangerous about the world.
She wasn't allowed to go outside alone.
Whenever she left the mansion, she had to be accompanied by a bodyguard. Someone was always following her, watching her, and making sure she was protected.
The mansion was the only place where Mira was truly free.
Inside its enormous walls, she could walk wherever she wanted. She could play in the garden, run around the house, or spend hours in her room without anyone stopping her.
But outside those walls, there were rules.
Too many rules.
Her parents made sure she had everything she needed.
Beautiful clothes.
Expensive toys.
The best food.
Private teachers.
A luxurious home.
And endless love.
But there was one thing they never gave her.
Freedom.
As Mira grew older, she began to wonder why.
Why couldn't she go to school like other children?
Why couldn't she walk outside alone?
Why did she always need a bodyguard?
Why were her parents so afraid of the outside world?
And most importantly...
What were they trying to protect her from?
Mira had no idea that the answers to those questions were connected to a secret her parents had been hiding from her since the day she was born.
A secret that would eventually destroy the perfect life she believed she had.
Because sometimes, the world isn't as beautiful as it seems.
