Kyo was browsing the internet, looking for a new fanfic to binge read. He wasn't picky, one piece, harry potter, naruto, my hero academia, anything really. Whilst browsing AO3, there was a pop up on his screen… strange, he thought ao3 didn't have any ads…

Hmmm… Huge chakra pool was a given. Running out of chakra was one of the worst things that could happen to a ninja. Perfect chakra control was tempting but with enough training, you could raise your control naturally, it wasn't worth the point. Uchiha descendant and Hyuga descendant were… useless? Too much risk, too little reward. With the uchiha, Danzo would hunt him down and maybe he would even gain the attention of Orochimaru, no thank you. And the Hyuga? Two words: Bird Cage.
Most of the kekkei genkai weren't worth it, all costing two points. Uzumaki descendant and Senju descendant were tempting but for three points, they weren't worth it. The sole 3 point kekkei genkai on the other hand… it was curious. Blood release, not a canon kekkei genkai, at least he didn't think so. If what this was applying was true then… well, he would be an idiot not to choose it. Gaining techniques by absorbing other's blood? It would be hard to find a battle amongst ninja that didn't end in bloodshed. What to do with his last point though? Looking over the points, his gaze returned to Under a lucky star more than once. It was decided! He clicked Huge chakra pool, Under a lucky star and Blood release.
'Great! Now enter a name'
Kyo scratched his head. What should he be called? He would stay with Kyo as the given name but what about the family name? After a few minutes of brainstorming, he didn't get anywhere, so he pulled out a random japanese last name generator and clicked a few times before he was satisfied with the name, Chikusa, Kyo Chikusa.
He tapped the name in and the side loaded for a few seconds before generating a text like a- a fanfiction? Was all this some new, AI fanfiction spiel? He didn't like AI but he was curious, so he read. It was this Kyo Chikusa's life, summarized. He was an orphan born a day before the nine tails rampage. Both his parents had been ninja's and -trying to emulate them, he joined the ninja academy. There, he discovered his blood release. Danzo tried recruiting him but was stopped by the third Hokage, who wanted him to start his own clan with this new Kekkei Genkai. Over the years in the academy, he developed some techniques with blood release, like a blood clone or blood kunai, though most importantly, he had not discovered that he could use his kekkei genkai on other's blood. In the academy, blood was rare and when he saw it, he didn't think of trying any of his techniques on it. When he had read up to the last line, it simply said, 'This was the life of Kyo Chikusa and now it is your life! Good luck!'
"What? That's a crappy- Argh!"
White light engulfed him and he shut his eyes, when he opened them again, he sat in a bed, in a meditation position.
"The fuck? Where am I? Why are my arms so short?" He looked around, rushing towards the bathroom of… wherever this was. When he found it, he looked in the mirror and saw Kyo Chikusa, or how he was described in the fanfic, tall for his age, brown hair, brown eyes, average looks. He took off his long sleeved shirt and -sure enough- there were dozens of scars from him creating a wound for his blood release. He had truly… crossed over, hadn't he?
