The latter evidently had no memory of last night's incident when Ember held a dagger to his throat thanks to Khaos's peculiar skills, not like the missing part of his memory stopped him from being anymore of an asshole if his leering stare at her was anything to go by.
Meanwhile, Dylan Shantaville still had that same doe-eyed stare he had on yesterday when they were dancing at the ball. Ember thought he would be sober by now and his senses would have returned, but it seemed his love confession was still standing.
"Your highness." He said, almost way too affectionately while Rose wore a frown. The girl rolled her eyes at the blatant display of affection.
Ember faced the dowager squarely, completely disregarding their new companions. "You do not have the right to arrange my marriage. Nor does my father."
