**Deceit and Betrayal—Audiomachine**
The Orchid Garden was a breath of fresh air, more so the spread that was laid out on the breakfast table for the Queen. But their beauty went over Ember's head who was buried in her thoughts.
"Don't tell me the colors in Thalara's garden have rendered you foolish," the Queen joked dryly while she cleaned her cutlery, "since you came here, you've been gazing out of space."
Ember sucked in a deep breath while the aroma of freshly baked bread made her water. The Queen eyed her amusedly.
"I figured you would be far too terse to actually eat with the dowager so I had the cook make enough for two. Eat."
It wasn't just enough for two, it was enough for ten people. But Ember said nothing, instead she dug into breakfast, and after ten minutes of silent eating, they were done.
