Chapter 194 - Geppo Received, Captain America Takes to the Sky

It goes without saying that Tony Stark's analysis was based on a very important assumption: that the Hulk could maintain his sanity in the future.

But how likely was that?

It couldn't be said to be impossible, but it was just a possibility, nothing more.

Considering all of the above, if Ross really wanted to send someone to the anti-terrorism building as a precaution, the most likely candidate would naturally be Tony Stark.

On this point, everyone didn't have much doubt.

"So, what about the second scenario?"

Strange glanced at everyone in the room and asked, "The person in the option appears in the anti-terrorism building, not because of orders from superiors, but because they are involved in the case?"

"If it's this second scenario, then any of the four people in the option could appear in the anti-terrorism building."

If that was the case, wouldn't it be impossible to determine?

"You're right, Doctor. In the second scenario, everyone could indeed appear in the anti-terrorism building, but the situation is different."

As a spy, Black Widow was very clear on these matters, and she immediately grasped the key point, "As those involved, no matter who they are, witnesses or observers, unless they are assigned by a superior, they cannot participate as an armed force."

"In other words, they cannot bring their equipment in."

"Stark can't wear his armor, Ant-Man can't wear his Ant-Man suit, and Captain Rogers can't bring his shield... They can only participate as ordinary citizens."

"If that's the case, then Stark and Ant-Man can be ruled out!" Thor immediately said from the side.

Without their equipment, these two were just ordinary people. Not to mention stopping a plane, they probably couldn't even hold back a husky.

"Then what about Dr. Banner?" Thor asked again immediately.

Dr. Banner never had any equipment. Or rather, his overpowered body was his greatest equipment.

"If we only look at Dr. Banner as an option, there's naturally nothing to analyze. But what if we compare Dr. Banner and Captain Rogers, these two 'candidates'?"

Tony Stark looked confident, asking everyone a rhetorical question.

Even Thor, despite not being the sharpest tool in the shed, understood after Tony Stark's prompting.

"Of course, we choose Captain Rogers," Thor stated matter-of-factly.

Don't forget the second hypothetical scenario: "involved." This means implicated in the Winter Soldier incident.

Dr. Banner and the Winter Soldier have nothing to do with each other, but Captain America? Everyone knew their relationship.

Who would be more likely to be involved in the Winter Soldier situation?

Naturally, it would be Captain America, not Dr. Banner.

"So…this situation has come up again, two scenarios, two answers," Black Widow shrugged. "If it's a superior's orders, choose Stark. If it's involvement, choose Captain Rogers."

"Comparing the two, I'd still lean towards Captain Rogers," Tony Stark quickly offered his assessment.

"Bucky, while a super soldier, isn't overwhelmingly powerful. The Counter-Terrorism Center has the resources to imprison him."

"Wouldn't sending me be overkill?"

Captain America and Black Widow both nodded in agreement. No matter how strong Bucky was, he was still flesh and blood, and a single bullet could end him.

The Counter-Terrorism Center had so many well-trained special operatives stationed there; subduing Bucky would be more than manageable.

"Besides, there's something else that doesn't make sense."

"In terms of strength, I can certainly stop a plane, but why would I? That's just stupid."

"I can fly! I have a thousand ways to keep that plane from taking off!"

"Alright, it does seem like Captain America is the most likely," Black Widow said, shrugging in agreement.

Placing Captain America into the scenario makes everything flow smoothly and logically:

Bucky was framed for killing the King of Wakanda and was captured by the Counter-Terrorism Center. Given Captain America and Bucky's relationship, he'd naturally be restless upon hearing the news.

So, he set out to find Bucky, which is how he got involved in this situation.

Ultimately, Bucky was taken away by the Counter-Terrorism Center, and Captain America followed along.

But during Bucky's trial, he suddenly escaped. Captain America would, of course, step in to stop him. That's why he grabbed Bucky's helicopter at the critical moment when he was about to escape.

Having analyzed up to this point, there's really no question about this.

"So, who wants to answer this question?" Thor glanced around at everyone, asking for their input.

"Six Powers? Another one of those skill things? Looks like it's in the same style as Lofty Steps. Not really my thing."

Tony Stark immediately shook his head, making his stance clear.

"This thing, it wouldn't also require stamina like Lofty Steps or the Sunflower Acupoint Technique, would it?" Black Widow speculated, guessing. "If that's the case, Captain Rogers is the best person to answer this question."

Everyone at the scene discussed it briefly and finally decided that Captain America would answer the question.

"I choose A, Captain America!"

Captain America didn't hesitate and immediately announced his answer to the big screen.

[Correct answer!]

The system immediately gave feedback. The answer was correct, which was not at all unexpected by everyone.

This question wasn't exactly easy, but it wasn't too hard either.

[Congratulations to the answerer Steve Rogers for receiving the reward skill Six Powers: Geppo!] [Reward has been issued, please check it!]

The system's notification had just flashed, and Captain America's face showed a hint of surprise, but then, it started to become excited.

Geppo, it was such an awesome thing!

"Rogers, it seems like a pretty good reward," Thor said with a laugh.

"Captain, can you show us?" Black Widow said to Captain America, her face full of anticipation.

"Of course, but I suggest you cover your chins first," Captain America's face also showed a little bit of mischief, "Lest they be knocked off in shock."

"Geppo? Sounds like a footwork technique. Is it really that good? Better than my Lofty Steps?" Tony Stark was dismissive. "Could it even make people fly?"

"Stark, watch closely."

Captain America said this to Tony Stark, then suddenly leaped into the air.

He took a series of steps.

Step, step, step! He was actually stepping on air, moving through the sky as if there were invisible stairs beneath his feet.

Holy shit!

Holy shit!

Holy shit!

Everyone on the scene nearly popped their eyes out, inwardly screaming "Holy shit!"

Captain America was flying! Are you kidding me?

This is freaking insane!

Especially Tony Stark, he was completely dumbfounded, his face contorted into this expression: д.

He had just finished saying Captain America couldn't fly, and then, in a blink of an eye, the guy was soaring through the air, getting his face thoroughly slapped.

"How is this possible?"

Even Star-Lord, a guy who had traveled the stars, was stunned.

In all his years, besides those with wings, he had never seen anyone fly using only their own power, without any equipment!

Could this really be due to the rewards from this question-and-answer system? Give me a stack of rewards like that too! Star-Lord's doubts about the question-and-answer system diminished once again.

Tap, tap, tap! Captain Rogers took several strides in the air, each step powerfully planted on the air itself. After circling everyone, he landed once more.

Landed right where he had been standing.

"Captain, I'm a little regretful. I should have answered this question," Black Widow said to Captain America, teasingly.

"I don't know if this will make you feel any better, but Geppo requires a strong physique to perform."

Captain America explained to Black Widow and everyone present, "The principle of Geppo is to gain momentum by repeatedly stepping on the air or ground in a short amount of time, thus achieving the purpose of floating and moving. It has extremely high requirements for physical fitness."

Everyone at the scene wasn't stupid. After Captain America said this, they all understood that it really wasn't something an average person could practice.

To gain momentum by stepping? How much force would that require?

Could a normal person's body withstand such a force?

One step, and their foot would probably explode, right?

Couldn't enjoy it.

[Answer is complete, now playing answer analysis!]

The corresponding text on the big screen began to dissipate, and an image appeared before everyone.

First appearing on the screen was the interior of the anti-terrorism building.

In a corridor, special agents armed to the teeth stood on both sides.

The Winter Soldier, Bucky, was locked inside a very special confinement vehicle, his entire body securely restrained.

Looking at the confinement cell on the vehicle, it was like a fortress, incredibly reinforced.

Combined with the information everyone had about the Winter Soldier, no one really believed Bucky could break out.

Clang!

The sound of a car door opening.

Several familiar faces emerged from another vehicle: Captain Rogers, Sam Wilson, and Black Panther T'Challa.

On the other side, a group of people were waiting for Captain Rogers and his team.

"What are you going to do with him?" Captain Rogers asked, looking at the other group.

"Logically, you should be treated the same way," a short, but imposing man in a suit said to Captain Rogers. "Psychological evaluation, then extradition."

Beside the short man stood a capable-looking woman with long, blonde hair.

The woman was no stranger to them; she had appeared in the footage of Captain Rogers being… well, you know. It was Peggy Carter's niece, Sharon Carter.

"This is Everett Ross, the Task Force's Deputy Commander," Sharon Carter introduced to Captain Rogers and the others.

"Where's the lawyer?" Captain Rogers nodded, acknowledging the information, and then looked at Everett, asking.

"Lawyer?" Everett laughed. "That's rich."

Then, he casually instructed the agents accompanying him, "Confiscate their weapons. Oh, and I'll give you a receipt."

From the current situation, this was the second scenario they had discussed earlier.

Captain America, Falcon, and Black Panther were all involved as suspects.

Falcon was Captain America's friend, and Black Panther's father had been killed by Bucky. Even during the Civil War, Black Panther had been pursuing the Winter Soldier.

Their involvement wasn't unexpected.

Next, the group followed Everett into the building.

Winter Soldier, Bucky, was taken away to be held separately.

"Romania isn't under the protection of the accords, Vice Captain Rhodes is overseeing the cleanup."

Captain America and the others had just entered the office they'd been assigned when they saw Tony Stark on the phone, seemingly reporting to someone.

"Accountability? Of course, there will be accountability! You can certainly quote what I just said. Anything else? Thank you, sir."

With that, Tony Stark ended the call and walked over to Captain America.

"Accountability?"

Captain America wasn't too surprised.

"Secretary Ross wants to sue you both, so I obviously need something to shut him up!" Tony Stark said to Captain America.

"I can't get my shield back, can I?" Captain Rogers asked again.

"Technically, it's government property, and so are the wings!" Black Widow said to the two of them.

"That's cold," Sam Wilson couldn't help but complain.

"It's warmer than a prison cell!" Tony Stark retorted.

This brief exchange revealed some information. It seemed that Captain Rogers and the others played a less-than-flattering role in the process of capturing Bucky at the counter-terrorism center.

If it were anyone else, they would probably be in jail by now.

It was only because of a special individual like Captain America that they were given a break.

Next, the scene changed.

In an office, Captain America, Sam Wilson, and Sharon Carter were all staring intently at a screen.

The screen displayed a psychological evaluation of Bucky.

It was worth noting that Captain America wasn't authorized to view this monitoring.

It was Sharon Carter, a "mole" within the task force, who had secretly opened it for Captain America.
