Chapter 193 - Who Stopped a Plane with Their Bare Hands?

"It was really thanks to Doctor Strange, otherwise Earth would have become a part of Dormammu, just like those followers of Dormammu," Black Widow said, glancing at Strange beside her with a hint of relief.

Fortunately, Earth had Doctor Strange in the future, otherwise, who could have dealt with Dormammu?

Relying on Tony Stark's armor?

Even if Stark sent in a hundred, a thousand armors, it probably wouldn't be of any use.

Thor's hammer?

Or his axe?

Captain America's shield?

Black Widow couldn't even imagine it.

That Dormammu was truly terrifying, far too frightening for anyone on Earth to handle.

The others present felt the same way.

In terms of sheer power, Dormammu's threat was far greater than Thanos's.

"Kamar-Taj."

Tony Stark spoke again with a serious expression, addressing everyone, "Could this place be… some kind of organization for sorcerers?"

"Doctor Strange, and that black sorcerer, and that chubby Asian sorcerer, could they all be from this organization?"

"That's a good point." Thor nodded in agreement, "Judging by their clothing, they all have a similar style. They should be from the same place."

"So, there have always been secret sorcerer organizations on Earth?" Captain America couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.

Everyone exchanged glances, each making a decision. After the quiz, they would thoroughly investigate this place called Kamar-Taj.

"Strange."

Tony Stark thought of something else and stared at Strange, asking, "You're still a doctor, there's no doubt about that, but have you come into contact with the magic circle yet?"

"For example… has a strange old man sought you out, telling you that you are one in a million, the chosen one, and wants to teach you magic?"

"Or maybe you ran into someone handing out flyers on the street, advertising advanced magic courses, with a guarantee of mastery for a tuition of three thousand a year?"

"Or other strange things that you've felt?"

"Stark!" Black Widow couldn't help but cover her face.

How could that possibly happen!

"No! Mr. Stark, none of those things have happened, and I haven't encountered anything strange."

Strange immediately shook his head. "I'm just a doctor, just like any other doctor! Unless... I'm a bit more talented than them. I think you, Mr. Stark, should understand this better than anyone else."

"That's right, no one understands what it's like to be a genius better than me." Tony Stark nodded seriously.

"You two really don't know the meaning of humility," Star-Lord couldn't stand it anymore, and couldn't help but sarcastically remark.

"Listen to the question: The Winter Soldier escapes during a trial at the Berlin Counter-Terrorism Center and tries to leave by helicopter, but someone grabs the plane with their bare hands. Who is this person?"

"A, Captain America, Steve Rogers."

"B, Ant-Man, Scott Lang."

"C, Iron Man, Tony Stark."

"D, The Hulk."

"Friendly reminder: Those who answer correctly will receive the reward skill, Six Powers of the Navy: Geppo;

Those who answer incorrectly will randomly have a stat deducted, including but not limited to knowledge, experience, skills, and possessions..."

Soon after, the system's prompt sounded, and a new question appeared.

Everyone at the scene temporarily stopped their discussion and focused their attention on the big screen.

"Wow, pulling a plane with bare hands, that's not something an ordinary person can do."

Black Widow was the first to exclaim, glancing at the three giants beside her, "Sometimes I really envy you monsters, you can do so many incredible things."

"I'd rather it wasn't me who was injected with the Serum back then."

Captain America couldn't help but shake his head, "I had a heart full of passion back then, wanting to serve this country, but everything was different from what I imagined, I lost a lot."

If he hadn't been injected with the Serum back then, he probably wouldn't have missed that date, right? But then again, if he hadn't been injected with the Serum, he might not have even had the chance to meet the lady he was supposed to meet.

Who can say for sure what the gains and losses in all of this are?

"The question says pulling a plane with bare hands, if Stark puts on his armor, does that count as bare hands?" Thor asked, posing a question that wasn't really a question.

If wearing armor doesn't count, then both Stark and Ant-Man are out!

"Of course it counts!"

Tony Stark said firmly, "Armor is just a suit, a suit made of steel. You can't say I'm not bare-handed just because I'm wearing a steel glove, can you?"

"Thor, I think you're being a bit of a stickler," Strange said, slightly speechless. "I believe the question is asking who pulled down the plane. It's not as complicated as you're making it out to be."

"'Iron Man'! Thor, the option given is Iron Man." Black Widow also said to Thor, "Iron Man refers to Stark in his armor, right?"

"Fine!" Thor shrugged. "I overthought it. This question probably isn't that simple."

"Of course this question isn't that simple," Star-Lord even came over to look down on Thor's intelligence. "My friend, you really think in a simple way."

Everyone at the scene couldn't help but glance at Star-Lord, a strange feeling washing over them. This guy actually felt superior to Thor in terms of intelligence!

Weird.

"Stark is Iron Man; he should be able to hold the plane."

Strange examined the four options, thoughtfully. "The Hulk... although I don't know who that is, he's a giant, so he should also be able to hold the plane."

"But Mr. Steve, even though you're a super-soldier, this is about holding a plane. I wonder if you can do it?"

"And this Ant-Man? A person as small as an ant?"

"Doctor, I think I can handle holding the plane," Captain America explained to Strange. "The Hulk, he's incredibly strong and can certainly do it too."

"As for Ant-Man, he can shrink to the size of an ant, but he can also grow into a giant. He should also be able to hold the plane."

In a word, putting aside other factors, just looking at the act of "stopping the plane," all four options have the ability.

But who ultimately stopped the plane requires careful consideration.

"I don't think it's Hulk," Thor spoke again, "Bringing the plane down isn't Hulk's style. Smashing the plane to pieces is more his style."

"Thor, you're talking about 'Angry Hulk'."

Black Widow thought for a moment and offered a different perspective, "But we know that one day in the future, Hulk can control his anger and be rational."

"Natasha is right. We don't know which state of Hulk that is," Captain America nodded in agreement.

"If we can't determine which state, then let's analyze them all," Tony Stark joined in, "Angry Hulk can be ruled out. Thor has already said he'd just smash the plane. What about 'Rational Hulk'?"

"If there really is a 'Rational Hulk', I don't think this Hulk would even appear!" Captain America pondered for a moment and gave this judgment, "Everyone, the location of this question is the Counter-Terrorism Center!"

Transforming into the Hulk next to the Counter-Terrorism building?

This is just asking for trouble.

If Dr. Banner could really transform with a clear mind, he probably wouldn't do this.

"Is it possible that the Hulk has complete control over his anger and has become rational, therefore gaining global recognition?"

"Do people see the Hulk as a superhero, like Iron Man, instead of a monster?"

"So it's okay for the Hulk to transform at the counter-terrorism center?"

Black Widow, after some thought, proposed another possibility.

It has to be said, this kind of hypothesis is actually reasonable. The Hulk during the events of Avengers 4 was actually a similar situation.

"So, after listening to all of you analyze this, this giant called the Hulk, can't be ruled out for now?" Strange raised an eyebrow and said.

The difficulty with the Hulk option is that the Hulk has different states, and different states of the Hulk correspond to completely opposite outcomes.

But everyone couldn't determine which state the Hulk was in at that time.

"What do you think of the fact that Bucky was being tried at the anti-terrorism center and then escaped?" Captain America pondered for a moment, but suddenly stared at everyone with a profound look.

As if he had thought of something.

"Civil War!" Tony Stark's eyes shone, and he added heavily, "Isn't the direct cause of the Civil War that I was ordered to arrest Bucky?"

Black Widow also reacted, "Captain, you mean that because Bucky escaped from the anti-terrorism center this time, Stark and the others would then capture Bucky at the airport?"

"That's what I'm guessing." Captain America nodded.

"A very reasonable guess!" Black Widow pondered for a moment and expressed her agreement.

"We all know that the reason for the capture of Bucky during the Civil War was because he killed the King of Wakanda! And the Counter-Terrorism Center just happened to have a task force specifically for escorting diplomats within the United States."

"If Bucky killed the King of Wakanda, the most likely force to be deployed would be the Counter-Terrorism Center's task force! This is the most realistic procedure!"

"But Bucky then escaped from the Counter-Terrorism Center, escalating the situation, so it naturally fell into the hands of Stark and the others."

"Remember General Ross? No, Secretary Ross. In the Civil War, Stark and his team were ordered by Ross to capture Bucky."

"And the task force also happens to be responsible to a certain Secretary of State!"

The people at the scene couldn't help but their eyes brighten slightly. The clues they currently possessed perfectly fit together with reality.

They fit together seamlessly, complementing and supplementing each other.

This strongly suggested that they might have guessed the truth.

"That airport during the Civil War, it was indeed an airport located in Germany."

Tony Stark also added, "The various signs and markings within that airport were all in German!"

This increased the persuasiveness even more.

The Berlin Anti-Terrorism Center, the German airport, coupled with the reaction procedures of various relevant units, everything perfectly matched up.

So now, there were basically no more doubts.

Bucky's escape from the Anti-Terrorism Center was indeed because he had killed the King of Wakanda, the "prelude" to the Civil War.

The background of this problem was now clear, and based on this, many questions could be discussed and answered.

"So… now a very crucial question arises."

Captain America waited for everyone to digest the information before speaking again. "When Bucky escaped from the counter-terrorism center, he was stopped by a certain enhanced individual. Why would an enhanced individual be at the counter-terrorism center?"

"I highly doubt it was a coincidence, right?"

Of course, it couldn't have been a coincidence. All the individuals in question were American citizens. How could they just happen to be in Berlin, just happen to encounter Bucky's escape, and just happen to intervene?

There was no such thing as so many coincidences in the world.

"The counter-terrorism center is a special place. If an enhanced individual was there, I think there are only two possibilities."

Black Widow pondered briefly before making her judgment. "Either, Ross considered Bucky to be an enhanced individual as well, so he dispatched other enhanced individuals to guard the center as a precaution."

"Or, those enhanced individuals were involved in Bucky's case, whether as witnesses, accomplices, observers, or for other reasons."

"In any case, the enhanced individual in question must have been inside the counter-terrorism building."

"That makes sense," Tony Stark agreed, nodding thoughtfully. "If it's the first scenario, I'd say the most likely candidate is me."

"Captain Rogers and Scott Lang, we already know they didn't sign the Sokovia Accords, so Ross wouldn't send them."

"As for Dr. Banner, we don't know if he signed the Sokovia Accords or not, but even so, I don't think Ross would send him."

"Don't forget what Ross used to do. He spent a long time trying to capture the Hulk!"

"Even if Dr. Banner signed the Sokovia Accords, Ross probably wouldn't trust him, right?"

Even if, for the sake of argument, General Ross completely trusted the Hulk's self-control, believing he could remain rational throughout, the chances of him sending the Hulk were still slim.

Don't forget, that's a counter-terrorism center!

And it's the counter-terrorism center in Berlin.

Politicians couldn't help but consider appearances and the potential impact of their actions.

Even if the Hulk was rational, he was still seen as a monster by most people. He could certainly tear down a Hydra base without issue, but an institution like the anti-terrorism headquarters wasn't really suitable for him.
