It's been exactly two weeks after my breakup with Carden, and for this two weeks I distanced myself from him, I managed to patch my relationship with Sky., Carden let Emily go after giving her the beating of her life, which she is still recovering from, mom succeeded in taking back her place as Mrs Gray, while aunty Lizzy and Emily stayed at the other section of the mansion.
I have been In bed all morning shivering like a day old baby, l haven't been myself this week, I end up throwing out everything that went into my stomach, and today Carden brought in the family doctor to check what was happening to me.
Carden stood at the side as he watches the doctor do his job, while was helping the Doctor,
After a few minutes the Doctors turns to Carden with a warm smile,
" Congratulations Mr Carden your wife is 4 weeks pregnant.
I catch a soft female giggle from the other end, and then she flickers her gaze at me her lips curving into an all knowing smile.
A look of suprise crosses his face as he lock eyes with the doctor, and together they enrupt into laughter, that was the first time I heard Carden laugh out so loud, still trying to process everything he leans in his whisper brushing my ear,
" I love you hazel... for the first time I heard him say those words, I didn't even know how to react as he pulls me into a heartfelt hug too happy to even realise I wasn't taking the news well.
He pulls away as the Doctors voice came again.
" You need to take very good care of her Mr Carden, you need to make sure she eats and rest very well, keep her away from any form of stress or people that might stress her. " I have written down some drugs, get them for her, and please bring her to the hospital for a proper checkup when you're free. Carden nodded happily to everything the Doctor said and they both left the room.
" Aaahh am so happy for you Hazel, Sky whose smile has been lingering for the longest of time finally screams.
" You don't look happy what's wrong.
" Our relationship is far too complicated for a baby right now sky, I can't be in relationship with a man who had a thing for my mother, what will everyone say, I Rob my tiny baby pump, scared of what the future holds.
" Let them say what ever they want, the most important thing is how much you both love each other, and this baby is the symbol of that love Haz. You should be happy bestie. She hugs me tightly as I sob in her arms.
" Thank you sky, your support means alot to me right now.
" You heard what the Doctor said, you needed to eat well in other to have a healthy baby, I'll get you something to eat,
Sky rushed out of the room and bump into Carden.
" Sorry boss, she said abit frighten as she bows slightly,
" It's fine, Carden clears his throat hesitating for abit before finally talking,
"I appreciate how much you take care of Hazel, and I want to say thank you,
Sky looked at him thinking it was someone else speaking to her,
" Sorry young master, did you really say that.
" Are you trying to make me repeat myself, the real Carden spoke.
" No Boss....., it actually nothing.., it's part of my job, I need to get something for Hazel she turns to leave
" Sky... He calls and she turns immediately, I heard what you said to Hazel, thank you for that, he walks away. That's the first time Carden has ever been appreciative to someone. Sky rush to the kitchen, still not believing what she just heard and saw.
" I think young master is going Crazy aunty Diane.
she whispers to aunty Diane who was busy cooking.
" Watch your tongue, if you don't want it cut off.
" Am serious, can you believe he actually thanked me, he said I have been doing a good job all this while.
" If he actually said that then your right, he is going insane. Both woman giggles.
" Hazel should give him a dozen babies if that would make him less of a tyrant. Sky held her mouth immediately the words escape her lips
" I heard what you said, spill it out, what baby are you talking. She pulls closer as sky whispers into her ears.
" Ahhhhhhh. Are you sure,
Aunty Diane holds her mouth preventing herself from screaming.
" I heard everything myself when the doctor said it.
" I didn't know a pretty girl like you can gossip that much, Ethan who has been ease dropping on their conversation the whole time said.
Sky roll her eyes, Ethan has been hitting on Sky for the longest of time, but Sky seem clearly uninterested, she wanted nothing to do with mobsters, Ethan being Ethan had also vow not to give up.
Carrying a tray of food she brush pass him,
" Let me help you with that, he forcefully takes the tray from her as they made their way upstairs,
" Let me have that, sky pulls away the tray.
" It's fine if you don't say thank you, he screams as Sky backs away smiling shyly.
." Hey.. Hazel, it's nice meeting you again, and congratulations on your pregnancy, Carden and I turned to him shocked.
" I didn't mention that on the phone did I, Carden asked,
" Sky told me, he said mockingly, as Sky stood burning with rage.
" That's a lie Hazel, he overhead my conversation with Aunty Diane.
" You told aunty Diane already, I asked feeling really pissed, " Carden say something, we can't just let them announce that to everyone, when we haven't decided on it yet.
" I never knew we had to talk about it, cause I had told Mom and Dad already.
His smiles holding his ears with both hands waiting to get the scolding he deserved.
" Just get out, all of you. I don't know if it was the pregnancy hormones or just me being mad, at them.
" I haven't told any one yet, why do I have to leave with them, Carden you heard your wife, leave I'll just stay here with Sky, he grabs her by the arm like a baby holding onto to her mother.
" I said all of you, except Her, Sky yanks him away, as Carden pulls him out of the room,
" That's discrimination Hazel.
" why isn't Sky leaving with us, he screams as Ethan continue to pull him away, Sky was still lost in her smiles as Ethans voice gradually fades away.
" Do you love him. She brushes off the smile like it wasn't there,
" No I don't, I can't and I won't fall in love with him,
" It's ok Sky I have gotten my answers already. love really looks good on her,
" I think Ethan is into to you, I have seen Ethan flirt with her so many times,
" You think so, no he isn't, he is nothing but a play boy, I don't do cute guys, I love this little heart of mine.
