The harsh, trembling wind blew against my body as dopamine and adrenaline rushed throughout my veins. I revved my jet black YZF-R1 and set it to a tricky neutral as I slowed into a sharp turn. It was Sunday, 1:23 am. the dark surroundings where quiet and strangely comforting. I came to a stop and lied staring blankly at the deep starry night in a parking space out the front of woolies, "I promise ill make the sky amazing mum" I mumbled sadly to my self. the old sign flickering dully.
I looked at the daily weather for today and looked at the current temperature. 24 degrees. Sweat trickled down my face as I took my helmet off. The cushioning in my helmet was drenched and smelly. I stood up and hanged my helmet on my throttle and turned the keys to lock my motorcycle. I walk towards the men's bathrooms, and towards a nasty sink. in the dense air I rinsed my hands and ran water through my hair. As the cold refreshing water dripped from my hair I grabbed my phone from my pocket that had rips and tears in it. The phone vibrated a few times as I opened it... 5 Miss calls from the same unusual number as the day before. I finally called them back.
ring ring.. ring ring, the phone rang as my hands trembled, an eerie feeling settling its self in my chest. They answered
"Hello? Uh you called me quite a few times the past few days" I asked. The first few seconds were spine chilling waiting for a response the there words seemed so cold.
"Woolies parking lot. YZF-R1, your names Corey right? Don't you think its a bit late to be riding out this late" They noted sternly. how the fuck do they know where I am?
"Uh yeah I guess. Um who are you again?" I asked sternly.
"Your near future" I they protested mystically.
I hanged up. What the fuck what do they mean. I hurried to run out of the bathroom and through the eerie parking lot. When I reached my bike I fiddled with the keys turning on the ignition. The bike rumbled as I put my helmet on. I quickly got on the bike and changed it into neutral and sped away. I quickly swerved through the cars, cutting off a few trucks every few seconds trying to get home. my heart raced, I was panicking on a whole new level I couldn't breathe, Focus or speak.
I slowed down and turned into my mums driveway. it had fancy lighting and bushes along the concrete. I turned the ignition off and pulled out my keys. my heart racing, i saw my mums rooms light turn on. A few seconds later the front door opened.
"Son? its been so long. Why are you here, is everything ok?" She asked concerned.
No words came out of my mouth. I just took my helmet off and walked stumbly toward her.
"Your tired we can talk in the morning just go to bed" she noted. I did as she said and fell asleep almost instantly.
