Chapter Two Hundred and Thirteen – "Lines That Blur"
The screen blinked out as Lyravex logged off.
Crow leaned back in his chair, rubbing his temples. The events of the last in-game day had been overwhelming—waves of jealous divine beings, rising power, and now Lyravex growing unnervingly attached.
A knock echoed at his door.
Crow froze. No one ever visited him uninvited.
He opened the door slowly.
Standing there—drenched from the light rain outside, her hoodie clinging to her frame—was her. The girl behind Lyravex.
She didn't say a word.
She just lunged forward, arms wrapping tightly around him. "I needed to see you," she whispered.
Crow stiffened, then blinked. Something shimmered faintly on her skin—golden runes.
His divine contract.
It had followed her out of the game.
His eyes narrowed. "This shouldn't be possible…"
But her arms only tightened around him. "Maybe. But you're still mine."
And for once, Crow didn't know if this was power—or something far more dangerous.
