Chapter 272 - Chapter 273 – You're My Daughter, I'm Your Dad

Chapter 273 – You're My Daughter, I'm Your Dad

The control center of the military base.

Human soldiers had subdued the beastmen, and Wens and the other allies immediately began seizing control of the central system.

Before the core system rebooted, they successfully modified the relevant permissions.

With that, the threat from outer space was eliminated.

"We need spacefighters to seize air superiority."

Now, their focus had to shift to Wundagore.

The beastmen forces stationed on that planet possessed aerial units.

If the High Evolutionary no longer cared about the lives of ordinary beastmen, he might well dispatch bombers for an airstrike.

And since spacefighters far outperformed conventional in-system aircraft, even a few defected pilots would be enough to overcome the beastmen air forces.

Only twenty-three spacefighters departed from the military base, heading directly toward Wundagore.

A portion of the elite troops was also deployed—like divine soldiers descending from the heavens—to land on the High-Tech Center.

As the High Evolutionary's planetary research facility, it undoubtedly held the most formidable military defenses.

There weren't many beastman soldiers stationed there, but they were all top-tier elites.

Not only were they physically powerful carnivorous beastmen, but they were also equipped with exoskeleton armor.

However, the rebel forces advanced with overwhelming firepower, unconcerned about the risk of ultimate failure.

After all, as tough as the exoskeleton armor was, it couldn't provide the full sealed protection of a mech suit.

During a lull in the firefight—

Allen stealthily infiltrated the High-Tech Center.

Cloaked in invisibility, he strode boldly through the building's interior.

Beastman scientists ran about in panic, casting nervous glances at the battle raging outside.

Unfortunately, there was no chance of evacuation now.

Back when the High Evolutionary built this place, he had never even considered adding escape routes—this was his domain, and he never imagined anyone would dare revolt.

"What do we do, what do we do?!"

A rabbit-beastman scientist muttered in terror, "I don't want to die! I heard ancient humans loved eating rabbits—braised rabbit, spicy rabbit cubes, whole grilled rabbit, marinated rabbit head—humans are so primitive and barbaric!"

"Sounds mouthwatering."

A voice suddenly chimed in behind him. The rabbit-beastman nodded instinctively and replied, "Yes, so cruel."

Hiss...

Suddenly, fear surged through his entire body.

The rabbit-beastman turned in horror to see a strange human standing right in front of him.

"A human…"

Thud!

Allen struck him with a knife-hand blow, knocking him out cold. Grabbing the rabbit's long ears, he dragged him into a storage room.

Moments later, Allen emerged wearing a white lab coat, his face crudely covered in irregular patches of rabbit fur.

Inside the storage room—

The rabbit-beastman had been tied up in a shameful pose, his long fur completely shaved off, a shoe stuffed in his mouth.

He was a long-haired rabbit-beastman who had the misfortune of running into Allen, who had borrowed a bit of fur for disguise.

The panicked beastmen fleeing the area didn't even notice Allen strolling casually among them.

Even though his disguise looked ridiculous, the beastman scientists assumed he was likely an evolved ape or monkey beastman.

After all, ape-men and monkey-men made up the bulk of beastman scientists and often resembled humans—nothing too strange.

"Huh?"

Allen narrowed his eyes at the sight of a female fox-beastman scientist sneaking out of a lab. He was immediately intrigued. He raised a hand like a finger gun and approached with a sly grin. "Don't move. Hands up."

"Don't shoot!"

The fox-woman flinched and froze in place.

"What are you doing?" Allen demanded.

"I just got scared and got lost… Humans are so cruel… they like to trap foxes in cages…"

As she spoke, the fox-woman suddenly spun around, reaching swiftly for what she thought was a gun.

Hm…

That didn't feel right.

A gun was supposed to feel cold and hard, not soft and warm.

Puzzled, the fox-woman looked down—and saw she was holding the man's hands.

She immediately realized she'd been tricked.

She looked up furiously—

Their eyes met, hers wide with rage, his twinkling with mischief.

Ah-da!

Allen threw a punch.

Oww!

Clutching her eye in pain, the fox-woman shouted, "What the hell is wrong with you?!"

Ah-da!

Allen threw another punch.

With a calm expression, he said, "You need medicine."

Tears streamed down the fox-woman's face as she clutched both eyes in agony.

Using the ID card he had taken from the rabbit-beastman, Allen scanned through the lab door and dragged the fox-woman in with him.

[Ding! Mission target identified!]

The moment he entered the lab, Allen's eyes lit up at the sight of a golden figure floating inside a nutrient tank.

It was none other than Ayesha, future High Priestess of the Sovereign race.

She floated inside a vessel filled with a special solution, an oxygen tube inserted into her mouth.

Thump thump thump...

"Hey, you dead or just napping?"

Allen tapped the glass, trying to wake her up.

"You don't need to knock," said the fox-woman, still rubbing her bruised eyes. "That container suppresses consciousness."

"How do you know that?"

Allen eyed the suspicious fox-woman—her intentions were clearly not pure.

"Allow me to introduce myself," she said, composing herself. "Hello, human. I'm Kevinna, an agent of the Human Rights Organization."

When intelligent species become too idle, they tend to create all sorts of oddball charities.

Even in beastman society, there were sanctimonious public welfare groups.

The ironic part was that beastmen didn't even consider humans as people—and therefore didn't believe they qualified for 'human rights' protection.

Kevinna had infiltrated the High-Tech Center to investigate the company's inhumane practices, which was truly insane.

Honestly, the High Evolutionary created the beastmen, and now the beastmen were turning around and accusing their creator of being unethical—completely backwards logic.

Crash!

Allen grabbed a hard object and smashed it against the glass.

But the ultra-tough isolation glass had no intention of giving way—it bounced the object right back.

Kevinna didn't dodge in time and got nailed square in the face, her eyes rolling back as she collapsed helplessly.

"Sorry, that wasn't on purpose," Allen said sheepishly.

You don't need to apologize.

I think you did it on purpose.

Tch...

Allen gathered his strength and threw a heavy punch.

Hiss!

He instantly retracted his hand and cradled it between his legs, gritting his teeth in pain. "Dammit… Fuyao Glass got exported all the way to Wundagore?!"

A faint crack appeared on the surface of the glass.

Then, like spiderwebs, the fracture spread rapidly.

Before long, the entire glass wall was riddled with cracks.

With a loud bang, it shattered under external pressure. Ayesha tumbled out along with the liquid inside, soaked from head to toe, looking like she'd just been dipped in lubricant.

Kevinna, unfortunately, got doused in the slimy solution as well. She frantically wiped the viscous goop off her face, her expression one of pure disgust and frustration.

Cough cough cough…

Ayesha coughed a few times and slowly regained consciousness.

Her eyes were bright but dazed as she looked at Allen and asked, "Who am I? Who are you?"

Allen gently patted her head and, in a very tender tone, said, "Sweetie, you're Ayesha. I'm your dad."

"Daddy!?" Ayesha looked up at him with innocent eyes, seeking confirmation.

"Good girl,"

Allen smiled warmly, the picture of a proud father.

Ayesha pointed to Kevinna. "Is she Mommy?"

"No,"

Allen said sadly. "Poor child. Your mother passed away before you were born."
