Chapter 272: Allen Strikes – Victory in Sight
The elite forces advanced like a hot knife through butter. Each time they encountered enemy resistance, it was extinguished within a minute.
There was always a barrage of rocket support coming from cleverly concealed angles.
They knew exactly who was behind it—Allen.
At the same time, within the military base, allies from within the Beastmen Alliance sprang into action.
Upon learning that the rebellion had broken out, they immediately severed control over the fighter jets, spacecraft, and starships, leaving the beastmen soldiers with no chance to retreat.
"Leader Santiya, we are allies."
A goat-man led a group of scientists and soldiers to rendezvous with them.
"Dr. Winls!"
Recognizing the visitor, Santiya raised her hand to stop her subordinates from attacking and exclaimed excitedly, "It's an honor to see you again."
"This isn't the time for catching up."
Dr. Winls said gravely, "The central command hub will reboot in fifteen minutes. We must seize control of the command center immediately."
Few beastmen truly hoped to overthrow the rule of the High Evolutionary.
Those who shared Winls's ideals were few in number, but as long as they could seize key positions and gain control over the starships, they could protect their hard-won achievements.
"Advance immediately!"
Santiya didn't hesitate to follow his advice.
They were also armed with architectural plans of the military base, saving them from wasting time navigating unnecessary detours.
…
At that moment, the High Evolutionary, busy perfecting a new species, suddenly received a transmission on his communicator.
"How is this possible?"
The High Evolutionary's face twisted in disbelief. He couldn't fathom how the rebels—who were nothing more than ants in his eyes—had managed to break into the military base on the planet.
After all, the rebels had no spacecraft capable of entering orbit, let alone sneaking in undetected.
The base was a defensive fortress, equipped not only with space radars monitoring outer space in real-time, but also numerous high-energy automated weapon systems capable of intercepting threats instantly.
"Who shut down the central hub?"
As the command center rebooted, the High Evolutionary found himself unable to contact the base and issue orders, which left him uncharacteristically agitated.
With his superior intellect, he quickly grasped the crux of the situation.
"The rebels' attack on the blood-forging factory was just a distraction, meant to keep me from immediately returning to the space base."
He speculated further: "And the means by which they entered the military base—was it provided by that captain from the Guardians of the Galaxy?"
Back then, during the battlefield cleanup, there had been no trace of any biological remains.
From that, it could be inferred that one person had managed to escape.
He hadn't thought much of it at the time. After all, what difference could one survivor make? But now it was clear—he had underestimated them.
"I'm not the kind of scientist who can be toyed with," the High Evolutionary said coldly.
With that, he turned and left the lab.
…
"The mechs are out now."
Allen stared at the screen, watching a beastman soldier clad in full-body armor shrug off incoming fire.
Inside the transparent helmet was a lion-man general.
With a flick of his hand, he summoned a particle energy blade.
"Wretched slaves, you all belong in hell."
The lion-man general bellowed arrogantly, "Remember this—your killer is the Lion King, Logudin!"
Boom!
A fiery explosion erupted behind him.
Caught off guard, Logudin stumbled, then quickly spun around and roared, "Who attacked me!?"
Boom! Boom!
Allen stealthily opened two small portals, firing rocket launchers at Logudin's back.
It was still ineffective.
At most, it scorched the surface of the armor.
Apparently, the High Evolutionary had spent a fortune acquiring weaponry from other civilizations and outfitting only his most trusted subordinates.
Just as Logudin turned again, he suddenly saw a young human wielding two green lightsabers.
"Who are you?" he demanded.
Allen twirled his sabers and answered solemnly, "Jedi Master Yoda."
"…Huh?"
Logudin blinked, clearly unfamiliar with the term "Jedi."
"Bet you didn't see that coming, huh?"
Allen smirked. "With a single thought, I could hit you with such an overwhelming psychic force you'd go into a euphoric overload, throw off your hormonal balance, and plunge into a full-blown cognitive breakdown."
"Die, you lunatic!"
Logudin lunged forward, aiming to kill Allen with a single blow and kick off a glorious slaughter.
"Entangling Sword Technique!"
Allen thrust his green lightsaber into the air.
In an instant, a beam of green light shot forward, hitting the armor and seeping into its crevices like a viscous fluid.
It oozed inside, like it had a mind of its own, entering through Logudin's nose and mouth.
A suffocating sensation overwhelmed him. Desperate, he ripped off his helmet and clawed at his throat, trying to breathe.
Seconds later, his bloodshot eyes bulged wide as he died, unwilling to accept his fate.
"Did I forget to mention I'm the Filthy Technique Grandmaster who severs eternity with a single sword?"
Receiving a system notification awarding experience, Allen deactivated his lantern ring ability.
He teleported back to HQ to aid the remaining two squads.
Meanwhile, Santiya's forces encountered a mech squad while advancing through the military base.
Even the high-powered weapons they'd seized couldn't halt the enemy's assault.
And the command center was just behind a single alloy gate.
"Leader, evacuate—we'll cover you!"
The soldiers formed a human wall, using their weapons to hold off the enemy.
Santiya wore a bitter expression. She had tried magical attacks, but they had no effect. She couldn't stand the idea of seeing all their efforts go to waste.
"Six minutes left… Is there really no hope?" Winls murmured in despair.
"Chief!"
A sudden voice rang out—Allen.
"I'm the hope of our Sheep Village," he said reassuringly.
"…Who are you?"
Winls looked bewildered at the strangely energetic young man who had appeared out of nowhere.
Allen flipped his hair and beamed. "I'm Sheep Village's number one simp—Boiling Sheep."
Bro, you're in the wrong universe.
This is a Western comic, not a Chinese cartoon.
At that moment, the mech soldiers raised their particle blades high, looking down at the terrified human soldiers.
Ah…
But the expected massacre never happened.
Instead, the mechs all screamed in agony at once.
Wave after wave of unbearable pain overwhelmed them, completely shattering their will to fight.
"Congratulations—today you get to experience my Supreme Mage's Five-in-One Treatment Plan."
Duodenal Butterfly Knot Spell.
Oral Ulcer and Wisdom Tooth Proliferation.
Prostate Incontinence Spell.
Anal Sphincter Relaxation Spell.
Full-Body Gout Spell.
The agony defied description—every inch of them was suffering and yet somehow… weirdly ecstatic.
"Outta my way!"
Allen summoned a massive tunneling machine, its drill spinning furiously, and charged straight at the alloy gate.
Boom boom boom…
The drill crushed the mechs underfoot and slammed into the gate, sending metal flying and carving out a breach.
"We're going to win!" Santiya shouted in elation.
"Who is he?" Winls was still fixated on the mysterious young man and the strange powers he had displayed.
