After seeing Shizuka talking to Kaneki, she decided to join in, since unlike yesterday when she used to think twice or even thrice before even speaking to him
But now she seems to be comfortable with Kaneki as she could talk to him like normal even though she still shows little caution around
But compared to yesterday, it's a huge improvement and she is sure that if this keeps up then surely in no time she could talk to him like she is talking to a normal friend
"Hmm~ I was asking him what he thinks about you 3 girls~" Shizuka said this without batting an eye as she lied while winking her eye while looking towards him
"Wh-what" Rei was stunned by this as she lost words to speak and became frustrated by this since even though she might not admit this but she really wanna know that too
Saya and Saeko also opened their eyes as they focused on hearing this conversation too since they were too curious about what he thought about them
What's more, at first they were afraid of him but now it's different as now they like to admire him more since not only did he save them again and again
He also helps them grow and take care of them especially when it comes to the fact that he is the one who cooks for them
If they were to ignore his cold attitude and his strange powers then they couldn't help but imagine him a perfect man for any woman
Not to mention his cold attitude is only to strangers as they have already seen how caring he can be towards the person he cares about
So they mostly have good feelings and thoughts about him, so they also wanted to know if he has any good feelings and thoughts towards any of them
"But unfortunately he became shy~ and avoided my question ~", Shizuka continued to speak this as her expression changed to someone who is disappointed
Hearing all 3 also became disappointing as they didnt get the answer they didn't want to hear but at least they knew he didn't dislike them by the way he treated them
Since he helps them and takes care of them, which itself shows that he has no bad feelings toward them but still they wanna hear this from his mouth but it seems they need to ask themselves or they needed to wait till Shizuka asked him again
First option isn't imposition but still they won't be asking this until they become closer like Shizuka until then they need to wait
"By the way, did I do well???" Rei asked this question but she didnt ask this question to Shizuka rather she asked this question to Kaneki while she came forward
Kaneki was also a little surprised as she didn't expect her to suddenly ask him but soon he returned to his usual expression as he replied and answered her question "not bad"
Kaneki replied even though he was to say Rei indeed performed worse compared to Saeko and Saya still he knows that for someone who is still in high school as a student then he can say she did amazing
Saya is somewhat of a prodigy or someone who has already handled guns in the past because she didnt come from a normal middle-class family which is the reason she did so well on her own using sniper
On the other hand, Saeko is someone who was trained from childhood, so it's not really surprising that she did so well in fighting
Meanwhile, Rei is totally different from these 2, as she grew up like a normal girl so if he were to be compared then he would say Rei indeed did best for her first time handling guns
'He is not that scary as yesterday' Rei couldn't help but inwardly said this in her mind looking his face, to her when she first meet him he was scary and what's more she was thinking that he will kill her too considering the fact he didnt look human to him rather to her he was like a monster who will kill without reason but luckily to her she was wrong
And as time went by she came to realise he is not the monster at all after seeing his warm side which he only shows towards Shizuka, as she began to feel sorry for what she previously thought at the beginning
Even though he might be as warm as he is towards Shizuka still he is still not bad since even though he might meet her and others for the first time
Still, he was willing to take care of them, protect them, cook for them and even teach them how to use guns for their protection even though she knew he only did this after Shizuka told him to
But somehow she has a feeling that he might have done that even if Shizuka didnt request him, especially after seeing him jumping from the balcony just to save a random small girl
So she has an idea that even though he might look like a cold person from the outside but he is really warm inside, and if she were, to be honest then she would like to be his friend
Even if she can't have a good relationship as Shizuka with him still being his friend seems to be great considering the fact how he treats Shizuka
'But alas it's a long way' Rei inwardly said this in her mind as she thought that they just met yesterday, so she knew it would take a lot of time before they considered each other as friends
Thinking of friends, a familiar face appeared in her mind as she couldn't help but become sad about it since she used to be a childhood friends with him
Until he left her, even though she doesn't understand the reason behind him doing this but she is sure like others, she can't forgive him either
