30 minutes later…
Right now, all the people in the tram are paying on the grass field beside the river, as all the people are tired right now other then Kaneki and the doggy
"View isn't that bad" Saya said as she looked forward towards the river while lying on the grass field and viewing the river
The river isn't polluted yet which they are glad especially Saeko since she could clean her body from all the blood she got on her body from those zombies with river water
But before that, they collapsed on the grass field as they were totally exhausted which included Rei, Saya, Saeko, Alice and last but not least Shizuka
Saeko will be obviously exhausted after swinging her sword for a few hours straight, she wasn't only swinging but also cutting and dodging all other zombies
Rei because she was using an assault rifle which itself is heavier than that gun's recoil even though she later used a pistol still for a normal high school girl who never really trained in her life, it's a big deal especially when she did it for hours
Saya even though she only used a sniper still it's not a joke to handle a sniper since it's not only heavy and gives a big recoil
But also the fact that you needed an unbelievable amount of concentration to shoot the bullet on its mark and not to mention she didnt miss a bullet as it would definitely take a toll on her mind
Shizuka even though she didnt do anything much significant she was still tired because she dont exercise or take a long walk since the attempt of her kidnapping, she always goes in a car just for her safety and not to mention because of her huge breasts, she found it heavy and uncomfortable to walk in the long term
Lastly, there was Alice who got tired simply because she is just a kid and her body isn't strong enough to have enough stamina or strength to continue
"Yeah" Saeko replied as she looked upward towards the sky and which was clear as she couldn't believe how peaceful the weather was while down here there was a zombie apocalypse
"Do you want water?~" Shizuka asked this as she looked towards Alice who was lying on the ground while relaxing
She offered it thinking that Alice must be thirsty after walking for a long time since they already brought plenty of food and water, it's not a problem to take breaks in between in their journey
"Yes" Alice said as she looked toward Shizuka with grateful eyes as she indeed needed water to drink since her throat was dry right now
Shizuka handed her the cup filled with water and she then turned to Kaneki who was also sitting down near her
Kaneki meanwhile was lost in his own thoughts as he couldn't help but imagine that even if this keeps up then they will reach in time before sunset and that will be better
He thinks this since now he can confirm the girls are doing a lot better than yesterday, and they can help instead of just standing on the backlines
Even though he might be fast enough to take care of zombies alone but extra helping hands will be appreciated since it will make the journey faster
Moreover, he will also make sure to pay attention to them if they ever are in danger since unlike him, one bite from a zombie and they are dead
'To be honest, our journey is going too smoothly' Kaneki said this in his mind since to him this is way too smooth, even though he knew it was a good thing
Inwardly he couldn't help but think that something might happen later on even though he doesn't wanna think that way
But unfortunately due to his past events that happened in his life, he always thinks about the most tragic outcome even though he knows that he might be thinking just too much which may not even happen
"What are you thinking about?~" Shizuka asked as she as she lean towards him making him awake from his thoughts
"Nothing" Kaneki replied to Shizuka as he turned his head to the side since yesterday's memories were still living inside his head
From his childhood he knew that he had a great memory as normally it would be a very great thing but unfortunately not for him since only due to that ability, he couldn't forget all those bad things that happened to him
"Ara~ are you still shy?~" Shizuka asked this with a tone which only he could hear, as she dont wanna let other knows about yesterday's events
Not only because those were embarrassing moments but also because she is their educator whom they respect, so it will be really shameful for her if they get to know what really happened yesterday between them
Even so, she has already overcome yesterday's events as she without getting shy says this to Kaneki without any problem and seeing his reaction only wanna makes her wanna tease him again
"What are you talking about?" Rei asked this with an innocent face she came near them since she dont know what they were now talking about in such a low tone
Unlike her, all seemed to be lost in comfort as they were just lying down without even talking, so she couldn't help but get bored since she wasn't that tired and wanna talk
