"I am not sure myself, if what or how can I teach you. It seems like you are even better than me. But I want you to make sure not be too emotional. You should first investigate both sides before you punish someone. Sometimes what you see and heard was not just the real story." Amishta nodded. That is probably her weakness.
Amishta is never been a good person but she has always a protector of her love ones. If she decided to be close to certain person then she will obviously protect them without a doubt even if her life will be endanger. She can be too emotional when protecting someone and that lead her to her weakness.
"This book contains every techniques in martial arts that I had in my whole life. I want you to learn it by your own. If you don't understand a step then just come and asked. Your foundation was already there but you still need to practice more your swordsmanship."
"Yes grandfather. I will learn all of this and will not let you down."
"Tell me. How was your progress?"
"I am already nearly half of my real strength." The Old Duke was stunned in his heart but very happy. He can't imagine that her granddaughter really exceeds him and his son. He maybe doesn't know if her daughters word is real but he already trust her so he will blindly agree to her.
"Grandfather I know that my word seems to be not so real but just give me time and if I---"
"I trust you Amishta. I will and always will. As your grandfather I wanted you to just be a pampered Princess but there is always a part of me saying I wanted to see you grow and as your teacher I want you to be the best." Amishta kowtowed. The Old Duke wanted to prevent her but seeing how Amishta insisted it he just stare at her.
"Grandfather I will make sure to not let you down. I will be your pampered Princess, the best granddaughter and the best disciple." Amishta smiled and stand up.
"Good. What is your next plan then?"
"Grandfather. I want to learn everything about warfare to you."
"Are you sure? This is the last time that I will asked you this. Remember that you will need to kill many lives." Amishta knew that killing has been a psychological problem to her since the death of her parents in the modern world but since she wanted to start then she shall face it.
"I will let you experience war. The Xyphena Kingdom was about to launched an attack to the northern border. The army will proceed this afternoon to help the soldiers at the border. I will asked to let the requite be in the team. It will be your choice. Remember, your decision will affect lives of the recruits."
"I---" Amishta cant decide in just a snap. She knew that the recruits were still on the process.
"This war will give you and the recruits to stablished your identity in the army. But in war, death is inevitable. I believe that you can surely be alive in the war but your co-requites are not the same. I will give you the opportunity to have your own team. When you want to lead a war, you will need a loyal subordinates to your side."
"I agree." Amishta instantly agreed. The soldiers even if they are new requites but since they passed the assessment and become a soldier then fighting in the war is their duty. Since she is still a Princess, she has pride that soldiers needs to protect the civilians and she will take the lead.
"Since you already agreed. Then fix your things and go to war. This is your chance to start your lesson as my disciple."
"I will teacher. I will not disappoint you."
"Remember, this will just be the start. If you die in the battle then as your grandfather I will surely take revenge on you but as your teacher I will totally be disappointed. You shall take the lead!" Amishta kneeled and bowed her head.
"Grandfather I will follow your wishes!"
"Good then go!" Amishta walked away but suddenly stopped and run back to her grandfather and hugged him. The Old Duke soften his face but immediately let go and sign Amishta to go. He just cant be emotional infront of her granddaughter. He is making a decision that can kill her granddaughter but he just wanted to believe in her.
Amishta fixed her things very fast and take what she needs the most in the war. Jane burst in the door and stared at Amishta.
"I will need to go to war. You stay and wait for me to come back. You need to learn everything from Butler Li and then we can go to war side by side." Jane kneeled and clinched her fist. She cant help but tear up. She knows that this move is for Amishta's growth and with her presence Amishta might not be herself.
"I will Princess." Jane said while closing her eyes. Amishta just nodded and didn't say more. She get her belongings and went to the training ground. She saw the soldiers lining up so she immediately fall in line.
"The Xyphena Kingdom are wedging war against us. They will launched an attack to our border and the border needs more soldier. As a new soldiers, you are given a chance to prove yourself and save our kingdom from destructions!" The soldiers were high in moral thus have a little excitement with them.
"FIGHT! FIGHT!"
"Then begin the march!" The Captain with the higher officials lead the soldier by horse. The new soldiers were walking with pride as they were happy to the thought of protecting their Kingdom. They walked with great passion even if the journey is so long.
Amishta gained half of her past strength so walking for a long time exhaust her but she was still good compare to some soldiers. Her gender as a woman suddenly was not a problem anymore as she become one of them because of her ability.
Amishta followed with the group. She was rather mixed with the soldiers she doesn't know and noticed that the ones she knows were at the front. Maybe because she was late so she was separated with them and that for their mission they need to become one and disregard about the teams.
"Captain, where are we going? I thought we will going to the border to help." The Vice Captain curiously asked.
"We will help but we will be the ploy to easily defeat the enemy. The battle with the Xyphena Kingdom is totally a disaster but the Generals wanted to keep our morale thus making it look like it was just another attack." The Captain said while looking at the sky. The Vice Captain suddenly had a bad feeling but he doesn't show it not to make the soldiers think bad.
"Then where are we going and what are we going to do? It is obvious that we are not going to the border to help and some soldiers notice it. Is it fine not to explain it to them.?"
"We will be attacking the enemies camp. They will not probably expect a bunch of new requites to go war with them and lower their guard with us. A traitor was found out in court but no evidence at all, though the main army can fight with the Xyphena Kingdom but they wanted to have an evidences to the traitors."
"Then, are we just going to sacrifice our own soldiers."
"No. This batch of soldiers will be training in this scenarios. It will be dangerous but it is not that dangerous as it seems. The Generals team will be in charge of the evidence and we just need to fight. Surely there will be a loss but the General will be backing us in the dark."
"Though this team has lots of potential. It is really bad for them to go to war this early."
"The more they experience the real war, the easier they will become adopt to this life. It is already good for us to die in the battlefield. This war is just the start because this will only test how powerful each kingdom was."
"Aren't there any treaties for both kingdom to stop the war?"
"Xyphena Kingdom was obviously not into peace. They wanted the Princess but ofcourse our King doesn't agree. Our Kingdom never sacrifice a lady to suffer in another kingdom. We have soldiers and we have a big army that can fight and we wouldn't just lower ourselves to them."
"But---"
"The decision is final. As a soldier, we just need to follow the command. We caught a traitor this morning and the move for us to help the border was send to the enemies. They will probably be insulted by the thought of having new recruit soldiers to go war with them and plan to eliminate us all but we will do surprise attack tomorrow night."
