Chapter 160 - Chapter 160: New Mission

"Ōnoki is basically trying to get the Raikage and Kazekage killed." Uchiha Yu muttered inwardly.

He had to admit, the old man really was black-hearted.

Of course, eliminating the Raikage and Kazekage was also part of Yu's plan. Since they had come all this way, they might as well stay—save him the trouble of hunting them down one by one later.

---

In the Iwa-nin camp—

Thud!

Just before hitting the ground, Ōnoki managed to regain a sliver of strength. He released the technique's effect, hovered for a brief moment, then finally collapsed onto the earth.

"Lord Tsuchikage!!"

The Iwa-nin swarmed toward him in panic.

"Damn it, couldn't any of you think to catch me beforehand?!" Ōnoki groaned, clutching his aching lower back, gasping for breath.

The Iwa-nin averted their eyes in embarrassment.

Together, they looked skyward, watching until the massive Susanoo became nothing but a black dot in the distance.

Only then did they glance back at their leader in awe.

"Lord Tsuchikage, your foresight is unmatched. If we had stayed in Konoha, our fate would have been the same as the Cloud and Sand forces!"

"That's right—even the God of Shinobi couldn't stop Uchiha Yu. At this point, it's hard to imagine anyone in the shinobi world capable of standing against him!"

"Lord Tsuchikage, you've saved us yet again!"

Listening to their chatter, Ōnoki sighed. "So this is how you treat your savior?"

"Heh, Lord Tsuchikage… what should we do next? Run?" asked a shinobi nervously, his eyes fixed on the direction Susanoo had disappeared, his face grim.

"No. Escaping now would be the last resort. For now… we wait."

Ōnoki let out a long sigh, his gaze falling on the ruins of Konoha.

Inside, he chuckled to himself:

"I've lived this long for a reason. See? I've survived yet another calamity!"

---

Meanwhile, inside the "cockpit" of Susanoo, Kushina and the others were experiencing the thrill of supersonic flight.

With the Lightweight Boulder Technique combined with the Complete Susanoo's explosive speed, they had surpassed the limits of almost any ninja.

What once seemed like a flying mountain now felt like a full-throttle space battleship.

The scenery outside blurred as it sped past. Those with poor dynamic vision—like Shikamaru and others without ocular bloodlines—couldn't even follow what was in front of them.

Even Sasuke and Neji had been forced to activate their dōjutsu just to barely make out the ground below.

"You kid from the Hyūga clan, keep watch on the ground for me," Uchiha Yu said casually.

Of course, with his Mangekyō Sharingan, his dynamic vision was already maxed out; he didn't actually need any help. He only said it to stave off boredom and give those around him a sense of participation.

At being singled out, Neji's pupils tightened. He quickly reported what he saw:

"Roughly 1,500 meters below. The nearest shinobi are Sand-nin…"

At that moment, Susanoo swept northwestward. Within seconds, it caught up to the fleeing Sand army.

"Lord Fourth, you must escape first!" one of the Sand-nin shouted in terror.

From the massacre at the hands of the Gedo Statue, fewer than a hundred Sand-nin had survived. Now, they all gazed upward, faces pale, as the earth was swallowed in the shadow of Susanoo.

That dreadful silhouette pressed down on their hearts like a storm cloud.

Rasa's eyes widened. In despair, he said, "Everyone… I won't escape this time. You must go on without me. He's returned… for me."

But before his words had even faded—

Rasa and the hundred-odd Sand-nin at his side froze in disbelief as the orange-red Complete Susanoo suddenly hovered in the sky above.

It floated with ease, light as a swallow. Then, in the very next instant, a massive blade blazing with crimson flames materialized in its hand—the Totsuka Blade.

The sword ignited with a burst of light, surging outward to engulf Rasa and every last Sand-nin, sealing them all away.

"…"

Rasa stared in shock at the flame-forged blade as despair filled his heart.

So that was it. Not a single Sand-nin would escape alive.

Once the deed was done, the Complete Susanoo vanished from the heavens as though it had used the Flying Thunder God.

In the blink of an eye—

The Complete Susanoo now hovered in the western skies, looming over the retreating Cloud-nin army. Then it rapidly descended, until it floated just above the fleeing shinobi.

"There are 189 ninja in total. The closest Cloud-nin is about 200 meters below… the Raikage is at the front."

Neji reported blankly, still reeling from the shock Uchiha Yu had given him.

When he had wondered how Yu would deal with the Sand-nin, Susanoo had instantly swung the Totsuka Blade and absorbed all one hundred of them in a single strike. The scene had left everyone numb.

No wonder this Uchiha didn't care in the slightest about the other villages escaping Konoha.

Now, compared to the Sand-nin with barely a hundred left, the Cloud army clearly retained more survivors.

Yu scanned the fleeing formation and was surprised to find that Killer B wasn't among them. He quickly looked farther out.

Most likely, after Yu's sudden appearance, the Raikage had been cautious enough to send Killer B away from Konoha early.

"Faster!!"

The Raikage's face darkened as he saw the shadow bearing down from behind. He roared at the Cloud-nin around him.

But the Cloud-nin had already thrown every ounce of strength into their desperate sprint. Their speed, however, compared to the Susanoo in the skies, was like horses racing against rockets.

Before the Raikage could bark another command, he felt the searing heat of flames at his back.

Instantly, he activated his cells and entered Lightning Release Chakra Mode.

Boom—

The Totsuka Blade, infused with tailed beast chakra, grew into a hundred-meter longsword. Its massive arc expanded, sweeping across the ground to absorb and seal all the Cloud-nin running with their arms flung back in the shinobi sprint.

Only the Raikage remained, his body flashing across the terrain like a raging arc of lightning, each step shattering earth as he pushed his chakra mode to its absolute limit. He narrowly dodged the Totsuka's sweep.

Yu swung again, but the Raikage zig-zagged like a lightning bolt in a Z-shape, slipping past once more.

So Yu switched tactics. He shifted to the Dark Moon, injecting wind chakra to activate its fastest form—Wind Release Chakra Mode.

Whoosh—

A jet-black crescent moon shot forward, wind chakra compressed into swordlike energy.

Long ago, Yu had cleaved through Root elites from a hundred meters away with this technique. Now, amplified by Susanoo and tailed beast chakra, both its speed and scale had reached terrifying levels.

The Raikage's back went cold. His pupils dilated as he desperately pushed his speed to the limit, veering hard to the right.

Once more, his body blurred into a streak of blue lightning.

But this time—

The black crescent's gleaming edge swept past, catching his left arm mid-swing.

Slash!

Blood sprayed into the air. The Raikage's eyes widened as he watched his severed arm spinning away. Before the agony even reached the wound, his body flashed again and vanished into the distance.

"…"

Neji stared at the Raikage's back in awe. Even after losing an arm, the man had dodged Susanoo's strikes and escaped with only that injury.

On the ground, despite the missing limb, the Raikage's speed didn't falter—in fact, it increased further, driven by sheer survival instinct.

"…"

Yu gazed at the Raikage, his will to live burning at its peak, then looked eastward toward the retreating Konoha forces. He weighed whether it was worth wasting more time on A.

If he pursued, he could indeed kill the Raikage and seal him in the Totsuka Blade.

But that would give Tobirama and Hashirama the opportunity to safely escort Konoha's remnants away.

Just then—

A long-awaited system prompt echoed in Yu's mind:

[Side Quest]: Ashes to Dust.

[Objective]:

To receive the reward in advance, capture the representative Edo Tensei figures—Tobirama and Hashirama—within 1 hour.

Failure will forfeit the reward, and the quest will be permanently lost.

[Reward]:

Space-Time Sealing Prison: 2 meters long, 2 meters wide, 2 meters high.

[Countdown]:

「00:59:58」

"So this wants me to imprison Tobirama and Hashirama?" Uchiha Yu frowned deeply.

He vaguely sensed that his body had connected with another space.

Focusing his mind and following the connection, Uchiha Yu suddenly discovered…

It was exactly as described in the reward—a tiny black cell, two meters in every direction.

Enough to hold one person, but with two, they'd have to curl up with their knees tucked in.

Before, Uchiha Yu had only heard of putting authors in a "small dark room" as punishment for not updating. Now, he could use it to imprison Hokage.

Judging by the mission, the little black room should be able to expand gradually, like a storage space.
