"Wait a minute!"
Accompanied by Lu Xi's loss of control scream, an unidentified object rolled out from the wardrobe, landing right at Lu Huai'an's feet.
The black paper shopping bag was quite thick, having been ruthlessly crushed by someone, roughly forming a ball-shaped object, the sound it made hitting the wooden floor was enough to catch someone's attention.
Their eyes simultaneously focused on that object on the floor, then met each other's gaze.
There was a minute of silence in the room.
"Stay seated, I won't eat it."
Just as Lu Xi was about to jump up and destroy the evidence, Lu Huai'an casually spoke.
Are you joking!
Should I sit still and wait for death?
At this moment, Lu Xi had already forgotten she was just a sickly "Lin" who could barely walk, as she dashed towards that "hot potato."
Unfortunately for her, no matter how fast she was, she wasn't faster than Lu Huai'an beside the bag.
Predictably, she grabbed empty air.
