"Clare, I still understand why I had to wear a gym uniform," I asked, walking next to Clare.
"Well, I just wanted to see how it would look on you, and it really suits you... especially the lower chest..." Clare said, looking at my breasts.
"Clare, be careful, or Rae will be jealous," I said.
"Well, I want her to be a little jealous. Although I did see her jealous once, and that was of her doppelganger, the Pope. She looks so much like Rae, like a twin sister," Clare said.
I just chuckled, knowing why it was the Pope, and no, despite the name, it was the girl who looked exactly like Rae. Of course, the system is to blame. Otherwise, such a coincidence wouldn't have happened.
Approaching the rest of my classmates, the teacher told us to split into pairs and practice our stretches. I was planning to just stand in the corner, as I was feeling a little uneasy about exposing so much of my legs, but I noticed Misha was left without a partner, so I decided to participate in the lesson just this once, even though I didn't need to, I was already flexible... And again, it somehow doesn't sound right...
Meanwhile, the couple in love... I can't even call it stretching! It looks more like they're groping each other, but strangely, no one seems to notice.
"Ouch! That hurts!" Misha screamed as I helped her stretch.
"Be patient, your muscles aren't trained, so naturally it'll hurt. And anyway, if I were you, I'd take up some exercise," I said, bracing my hands on her back so she could reach her toes.
"I don't need that!" Misha objected, groaning in pain.
"But I'm sure Yu will like your flexibility," I whispered in her ear, causing her to blush.
After class, we were just strolling quietly. Clare, as always, was chatting with Rae, and I, in turn, was talking to Misha, trying to get to know her better. Of course, we weren't close friends yet, but we were definitely becoming friends.
"What are you talking about? Discussing interesting things." Misha and I turned to look at the man's voice, hearing it. Three boys, the three princes of this kingdom, stood before Clare and Rae.
I saw Clare frown slightly.
"Your Highness, what we're discussing is a girlish secret," Clare said politely, but her voice made it clear she didn't intend to reveal anything.
"Yes, we have a girlish secret!" Rae interjected.
"Rae Taylor, I presume? Misha, correct me, is she the best of the commoners admitted this year?" the blond boy asked Misha, who blushed slightly.
"You're right, Your Highness, we're both scholarship students," said Misha, blushing.
"Well, yes! You won't find such girls among the nobility!" said the brown-haired prince, the eldest.
"Your Highness, I'd like to ask you not to call Rae that," said Clare.
"Okay, okay, as you say," the prince said flippantly, then looked at me.
"And who are you? This is the first time I've seen you," he asked, looking at my ears.
"I'm nobody, and it's none of your business," I said, since I didn't like either the middle prince or the ugly one at all, and only liked the youngest, and only after he became a girl again.
"Aren't you afraid to talk like that to the prince, the first heir to the throne?" he asked.
"No!" I answered shortly, to which he laughed.
"And I like you," he said, still laughing.
"And I don't like you!" I replied simply, but my words apparently didn't hurt him.
"Okay, it's time for us to go," Clare said, simply walking past the princes. She had become much bolder, most likely due to her confidence that she could easily defeat any opponent.
I simply walked alongside them while the gray-haired prince tried to grab my hand, but I calmly dodged it and glared at him.
"Next time, I'll cut off your hand!" I growled and turned to leave.
Misha caught up with me.
"Miyabi, aren't you afraid of being accused of attempting to assassinate the prince?" Misha asked.
"I'm not afraid! There's no one in this kingdom who can defeat me, not even an entire army," I said simply, and I saw that Misha didn't believe me and simply walked beside me silently.
Entering the dining room, we noticed Loretta Kugret and Pipi Barlier, who immediately stood up upon seeing Clare.
"Lady Clare, would you like to have a cup of tea with us?" Pipi asked, and Loretta nodded.
Clare simply smiled at them.
"With pleasure," she said, and soon there were six girls at the table, including me and Lene, who had come to make tea.
"So, Loretta, Pipi, how are you?" Clare asked, sipping from her cup.
"I'm fine, Lady Clare!" Pipi replied.
"Pipi, I believe I asked you not to call me 'lady,' but just 'Clare,'" Clare said.
"Sorry, Clare, it's just hard for us to break that habit," Loretta replied, speaking for Pipi.
"Well, it doesn't really matter. If you're more comfortable calling me that, I won't mind," Clare said, noticing Pipi looking at Rae.
"Pipi? Is there something you want to ask?" Clare asked.
"Yes... Is it true you're in a relationship with a girl?" Pipi asked.
"Didn't I say I prefer girls? And didn't you see the kiss yesterday?" Clare asked.
"Well, if we hadn't witnessed that kiss last night... we wouldn't have believed you... Forgive us, but when you told us you preferred girls, we thought you were saying it deliberately to avoid a marriage of convenience," said Loretta.
"Well... now you're convinced! In any case, this is Rae, whom I all know as a gifted commoner. The Rae's are my close friends Loretta and Pipi," said Clare.
"Nice to meet you, Lady Rae," said Pipi.
"You don't have to call me that, I'm a commoner," said Rae.
"No, you're no longer a commoner if you're in a relationship with Lady Clare," said Loretta.
"Yes, but I'm not married to Clare..." said Rae, blushing as she conjured something up.
"Bye..." Clare said, grinning as she looked at the dreaming Ray.
"I understand, of course, all about love and romance, but please, tone down your ardor; some are still lonely," I said.
"And whose fault is that? You said yourself you have someone, namely the girl you're in love with," Clare said.
"I know..." I said quietly, sadly.
If it were that easy, I would have confessed my love to her by now and stayed with her, but not everything is that simple. For starters, I don't know how I'm even supposed to return to my past life. And will she believe me if I tell her, and what about my parents? What should I tell them?
"I'm sorry," Clare said, seeing my sad expression.
"By the way, Miyabi, did you know that when you're sad, your ears droop?" Pipi said, surprising me because she'd started talking to me.
"Well, what do you think? I've had these ears since birth!" I lied, just as I'd lied about knowing my ears reacted to my emotions.
I don't look in the mirror very often, and I hardly feel any movement in my ears. To me, my fox ears are like normal human ears, only more sensitive to different sounds.
"Rae? Hello, Rae? Earth calling Rae!" Misha shouted, waving her hand in front of Rae's face. She was lost in her dreams, but upon hearing the scream, she came to her senses.
"What? Did something happen, Misha?" Rae asked.
Misha simply placed her hand on the bridge of her nose.
"By God, you're so horny," Misha said, but it was more of a joke than an insult.
"Heh-heh, I can't help it," Rae said, scratching her head.
"Hmm... Rae, how about a competition?" Clare asked.
"A competition?" Rae repeated, curious.
"Yes, a competition for the best student! They're soon going to be holding various tests, testing knowledge in various fields, so let's have a competition. The loser gets one wish from the winner, no strings attached," Clare said with a sly smile.
"I agree!" Rae screamed.
God, I have a feeling this won't end well, although... No, they're both horny perverts, groping each other in public, so I think they'll be fine...
Probably...
