Shawn pulled Yvonne into his embrace and said, "Yvonne, you don't have to be envious of anyone. I'll dote on you and treat you like my queen, too."
Hearing his sweet promises, she beamed, and her eyes gleamed enchantingly. "I'm sure of that, Shawn," she said softly.
Of course, she did not have to be envious of anyone, as she already had the most wonderful man she could ever find in the world.
"Yvonne, let's get engaged," Shawn suggested as he pinched her cheek.
They could have an engagement first, since they could not get married at the moment. Once the time came, they would register right away and have a splendid wedding to make everyone in the town know that he had finally found someone with whom he could spend the rest of his life.
"That's fine too." Yvonne smiled as her eyes turned into crescents. "You should talk to my parents about it. I believe they will accept our engagement more easily than us getting married."
