"Leo, you..."
Zoey looked at Leo, speechless.
"Don't cry. Every wife in the Yancey family has this."
Leo put his hands on Zoey's cheeks and wiped off her tears. "This tradition has been around for more than a hundred years. Nobody has been kicked out of the family yet. When Kayden grows up and finds someone he loves, he will have to pass it to her too."
The agreement was the Yancey family's tradition. The sons of the family had heard of its content since young. They had to promise to treat their wives with unconditional love. If they went against their own words, they would be cursed and kicked out of the family forever.
Zoey had an indescribable feeling. She held back her tears and sobbed while saying, "Leo, this is too valuable."
She felt like she was unworthy of Leo's love.
"It isn't. You're far more valuable than that."
Leo could not care less for the agreement. "This agreement only expresses my love for you. You are priceless to me."
