It is a special day today, from all around continent today many young talents from many noble lineages will be attending the welcoming ceremony of the mage academy situated at the Royal City right next to the city of the Royal Family.
Many Dukes will be present in the ceremony today, attending with their children and so did Duke Walker with his wife and his son.
The young mage who became famous throughout the continent for awakening four elements, A rare talent born after thousands of years.
Jamie Walker walked behind his parents who both had proud expressions on their faces. Jamie also felt many glances filled with awe, surprise and envy.

Jamie heard many people's voices talking about him and his parents. He felt good after hearing many things people gossiped about him. Jamie was a normal person back on earth, Even in his university batch he was hardly memorable for people.
So he was enjoying all the attention he gets now walking with a slight smirk on his face. All the ladies was enchanted by his charm, They were already falling for him.
Jamie's parents had proud expressions on their faces as they heard many discussions about their son. The three of them made their way toward the ceremony hall in no time.
The ceremony hall where everyone was gathered is a large place making Jamie surprised. There were ten large seats placed around in the middle of the hall reserved for the dukes attending today's event and nine of them were present seating there along with their wives.
Jamie and his parents walked toward their seat and Rufus took place in his seat as Amanda sat beside him, Jamie stood beside Amanda looking around to see many people gathered at the hall today.
The moment the Walker family arrived, some of the dukes looked at them speaking among each other while some of them greeted both Rufus and Amanda with smiles.
Duke walker is not a normal person to mess with, The Walker family has the backing of two Grand Dukes and they also have connections to the royal family making Duke Walker as the one with the most authority among the others.
That is also the reason why he has many enemies keeping him in check for everything he does.
"I wonder what they always talk among themselves about us?" Amanda said to Rufus in a low voice keeping a smile on her face.
"Just let them gossip as much as they want. Who cares what others think." Rufus scoffed while looking at the other dukes not hiding his mocking smile.
Jamie was enjoying the tantrums caused by these powerful people who are all at the Grandmaster realm acting like kids, gossiping about each other.
"This is fun." Jamie spoke out loud looking around, smiling.
"Isn't it. This is why I like attending these kinds of events. I can see who are my enemies and my allies clearly even if they wants to hide themselves with masks." Rufus said to Jamie with a smile playing on his lips.
"Hmm" Jamie felt some gazes directed at him and he sensed that almost all the people in the banquet is looking at him once in a while, Especially women.
'Looks like my peers are interested in me' he smiled inwardly before looking at all of them.
'Oh!, would you look at that.' Jamie widened his eyes for a moment because he saw someone that made his heart beat for a second.
A blue haired girl standing beside another woman, The girl was beautiful yes but Jamie's heart didn't beat for her but for her mother beside her. The Duchess of Valery, Rena Valery.
Rena Valery is a Grandmaster Realm Mage who also comes from a Grand Duke family just like Rufus. Her Father is one of the Ten Grand Dukes. From what it seems Duchess Rena is not a sane woman, She was a talented mage when she was young but never did she looked at any men no matter who they were.
She hated the idea of being with any men. Her strength progressed as a talented mage and with her father requesting her a Duchess title, she became fifth woman to enter the circle of duchesses with her own strength. There's only five duchesses mainly holding power because many female mages who also possess Grandmaster realm prowess are already married to many noble families taking the Duchess titles naturally as the wives of Dukes, Just like Jamie's mother.
Grand Duke Gustoff Valery suddenly wanted Rena to get married one day which she hated to the bones. But somehow after some years passed the woman who liked the very idea of marriage seems to have gotten pregnant with a child and many other Dukes found out that the Grand Duke Valery has chosen a husband for her daughter and they already got married without any festivities for celebration.
Many mages who attended the academy back then with Rena was shocked to hear her marriage and pregnancy but what shocked them more was the news they heard after.
Duchess Rena has killed the man she had been betrothed to and sent his dead body back to his family, After she said to his father that her husband is of no use anymore since he served his purpose and made her pregnant just as her father wanted to.
She hated the man who violated her body and because of that she killed her and sent him back to his family. The Grand Duke had to personally make compensations for the enraged family for her daughters shocking behaviour.
After she gave birth to her daughter, Rena stayed mostly inside her mansion taking care of her cities and the relationship between her and her father the Grand Duke seems to have dropped suddenly as she never came out to see anyone.
The whole continent was shocked at what happened back then, Many feared the Duchess Rena because she was a mage crazy enough to kill her own husband.
