Across the vast valley basin, stretching for tens of kilometers, a colossal sandstorm erupted, flinging shattered boulders through the air.
Over a hundred battered figures scrambled through the sand, only managing to regain their footing after fleeing several kilometers.
"Sensei Dodai, what do we do? The Two-Tails, Matatabi's seal… why has it weakened?" Samui's face paled.
They had rushed here after learning from Kumogakure Anbu that the Two-Tails' chakra was leaking from its seal. To prevent a catastrophe, they had even brought Yugito Nii, the jinchuriki. However, as they approached the sealing location and attempted to reinforce the seal, it shattered further.
"When I left, the seal was reinforced, strong enough to hold until the Fourth Raikage returned to perform the jinchuriki sealing," Dodai said, his face grim.
With the Fourth Raikage and Killer Bee gone, Dodai was Kumogakure's strongest shinobi. As their teacher, he couldn't avoid responsibility and had to take charge.

A deafening collision, like thunder, echoed as the earth wall shattered instantly. The immense force sent the unprepared Anbu tumbling, crashing against the rocks. Some were knocked unconscious.
Samui, an elite Kumogakure jōnin, though uncertain what was happening, retreated with a curious Yugito Nii at Dodai's warning.
Upon landing on a rock hundreds of meters away and seeing the massive figure emerging from the sandstorm, her face went white.
A creature tens of meters tall, its body wreathed in unique bluish-black flames, its eyes filled with savage fury, surveyed the scene before focusing on Yugito Nii.

Matatabi roared, its massive body launching towards Yugito Nii with terrifying speed.
The distance of over a kilometer was covered in the blink of an eye. Its chakra-infused claw, blazing with blue flames, tore through the air.
The scene horrified the Anbu. Samui's grip on her chakra dagger tightened, her hand trembling. The Two-Tails' aura was suffocating, its attacks felt like the kiss of death.
However, remembering Kai's entrusting Yugito to her care, regardless of her jinchuriki status, and the children in the refugee camp awaiting her safe return, Samui knew she couldn't retreat.
"Lightning Release: False Darkness!"
Samui's hands flew, forming seals. Chakra surged, and lightning shot towards the oncoming claw.

Samui was stunned.
No, everyone was stunned. This was a powerful Lightning Release attack from an elite jōnin, enough to instantly kill two or three jōnin of the same level. Yet, it was utterly ineffective against the rampaging tailed beast.
"Lightning Release: Four-Pillar Binding Technique!"
Dodai's roar cut through the air. Four Anbu, led by Dodai, surrounded Samui and Yugito Nii. Their perfectly synchronized hand seals and speed were breathtaking.
With a final hand seal, massive stone pillars erupted from the ground, one striking Matatabi's chest, disrupting its attack. The other three pillars surrounded Matatabi, forming a makeshift prison.
ROAR!
Having its attack blocked and ambushed, Matatabi became even more enraged. It roared, its chakra-infused claws slashing at the pillars. If it hit, the pillars would likely break like the earth wall.
This was far from enough to subdue a tailed beast.
"Change seals!" Dodai roared, his hand seals shifting. The four pillars erupted with crackling lightning, forming an electric net that enveloped Matatabi. Its claws were instantly stopped. Matatabi shrieked in agony under the powerful lightning.
Seeing this, Samui, far from relieved, glared at Dodai, gritting her teeth. "Sensei Dodai, you knew the tailed beast would rampage, and planned to use Yugito as bait to allow Matatabi to attack her, correct? To facilitate the sealing?"
Yugito's expression changed. If Samui hadn't reacted instantly with her Lightning Release, countering Matatabi's attack and buying time, they would have been crushed before the sealing barrier was complete.
Facing this direct accusation, the surrounding Anbu remained impassive, clearly aware of the plan. Dodai's expression darkened. "Samui, understand, I'm doing this for the village. You wouldn't want the refugees to become wanderers again. With the Fourth Raikage absent, we must suppress the tailed beast quickly."
Dodai looked at Matatabi, furiously attacking the barrier, his face resolute. He shouted, "Everyone, use that technique! Suppress the tailed beast completely!"
