✿ CHAPTER 33 ✿
"No, I'm not supposed to be here" I tried explaining but I was already out of the elevator. The elevator shut close behind me...
"What do I do?" I looked around for another elevator to enter... finally, I saw another elevator by the end of the hallway.
I quickly made my way to that elevator, but it had a different color from the other elevators. it was a black elevator...
I hit the button to the last floor...
'ding' the elevator door opened and I covered my mouth with my hands as I gasped, making my cup of coffee fall on the floor...I was shocked!
"Miss Amelia?" Leonard's assistant, Theo, was surprised to see me.
The gorgeous man before me looked down at his suit pants before looking up at me with an indifferent expression.
"You spilled coffee on me"
"Ah!, I'm so sorry...so so sorry!" I was panicking, I felt my heart racing. I didn't expect to meet Leonard this way!
I was nervous, I didn't know what to do at that moment.
"What do we do about this?" he gestured to his suit pants that were now drenched with hot coffee...he acted indifferent, I wondered if it didn't hurt him at all.
"Well, I-"
"Boss, I can go get you another one from your office," Theo said as they both stepped out of the elevator.
"You haven't answered my question, Amelia?" he looked at me with his left hand in his pocket.
"Uhm, I...I agree with your assistant's suggestion"
Leonard turned to Theo giving him a slight nod to leave.
"Yes boss" Theo left before I could even blink my eye.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to bump into you-"
"Follow me"
"Yes, I was- wait what?" I was stunned, follow him to where exactly?
"I said follow me" he walked down the hallway. I silently glared at him from behind as I followed behind him.
He then approached an escalator that led to another floor.
'I thought this was the very first floor?'
Well, yes it is. The floor after the first floor was his private quarters that's why it wasn't part of the floors In the elevator. And he was the only one allowed in there through the escalator.
When we got there I was amazed by what I saw...it was very silent with no one around...he suddenly approached a glass door.
it seemed like his office, he put in his passcode while looking at me.
'Stop looking at me like that, you freak!!!' I cursed in my head as I avoided his gaze and followed him inside his penthouse, no I mean office.
The curtains automatically opened as soon as we stepped in.
'is this a penthouse or an office?' I saw no difference between the both...his office was very vast...you could see the city skyline. A massive polished mahogany table at the center. Designer sofas by the side...a big inbuilt TV screen on the wall. A marble coffee table. Built-in bookshelves in the walls. The scent of polished wood and coffee lingering In the air...and that scent, his cologne that always drifts into my nostrils also filled the air.
"Are you done filling your eyes?" his deep voice rang in the silent office making my heart jolt.
"Huh?" His voice confused me and I didn't know what to say.
"You stained my trouser with your coffee, why aren't you talking about that?" he walked to a water dispenser and fetched some water to drink.
"What do you want me to say? I apologized already"
"I'm having a board meeting very soon, do you expect me to go this way?" he gulped down the water and slammed the cup down on the table as he gazed at me with those eyes again... I silently clenched my fists behind me.
"Your assistant was willing to help anyway"
"You're the one who spilled the coffee, not him"
"You should be willing to help, not him," he said as he took off his suit jacket not breaking eye contact with me.
'why is he suddenly doing this!!" I screamed in my head as I saw his crisp white shirt beneath that made his muscles bulge.

"I need to change out of this, and you're going to help me with that, Amelia"
WHAT!!!
