Hou sat up, this time his time spent in the inheritance only felt like a few moments. But I'm those few moments he lived several portions of lifetimes.
'Only because of others did I reach this far, now I need to myself use there help as a starting point. Yue introduced me to freedom and power. Araxis taught me the truth. Mo Huai gave me safety and material help. True sage gave me a new physique. All these different helps have come together and formed myself, now I need to grow even more!'
He used his Cloudy Eagle Divine Wings and flew down from the fountain down to the ground. Mo Huai saw Hou had finished quickly and asked,
"Did you get anything?"
"I did. Other than some experience, I feel my absorption of laws will be easier from now on."
"Good, this is the inheritance of 'growth', the next inheritance is held in Nine Clouds Green Dragon's domain, Myriad Cloud. He is the master of enslavement arts, the use of other creatures. The next inheritance is an important checkpoint."
"How so?"
"The next inheritance is one where many disciples lost, they did not gain anything from it. If you do gain anything from it, however, you'll grow exponentially. Those that passed this inheritance are the elites."
"Then did you pass this one?"
"I was a stubborn disciple, I have many regrets. I did not take it seriously and did not accept any inheritance. I wanted to make my own path purely because of my own strength. This was one of the reasons I'm considered the weakest Elder. But you can say my stubbornness paid off, you'll see later on."
"I see, I'll learn from master's regret and do my best then!" Hou did a little grin.
"As you should, my path was not an easy one and you can do much better."
Mo Huai gathered the purple miasma dome around the fountain and it formed a cape over himself, draping far behind.
Hou saw this and asked,
"So we're heading to Myriad Cloud now?"
"We are, just follow me."
With that said, Mo Huai flew into he air on a pink cloud. The cloud was formed under his feet and lifted him effortlessly, his cape followed behind flowing like a dragon.
Hou saw this and cracked his neck. He then thought of his impression of the sun, activating the Free Lark Technique. His body flew slightly, illuminating his new body with a galaxy underneath.
This drew looks from all the people around him, the whole of the city watching the direct disciple activate some sort of technique.
Hou could feel when he was activating the technique, the power of the Celestial Law Amplifying Physique and his many inheritances have improved his body cultivation by a huge factor.
He activated the technique and jumped off the ground, using his Cloudy Eagle Divine Wings to flap into the air, free from gravity and restraints.
Mo Huai looked behind him to see Hou activated the Free Lark Technique and gain a burst of speed even more than before. The effect of the Free Lark Technique was creating an even stronger resonance in the flight laws that powered the Cloudy Eagle Divine Wings. Hou was now even faster than before, which was already impressive.
Hou then heard Yue in his head speak,
"That's not all, use this Divine Flowing Script with mental energy"
Yue transmitted a character into Hou's mind. Hou followed Yue's suggestion and formed the character with his mental energy.
As soon as his mental energy formed the character, he felt his wings vibrate. The character in Flowing Divine Script resonated with the laws of flight. Instead of inducing laws to change it strengthened the already present laws.
This was all possible due to the mentality pill Hou had consumed. Without the mentality pill, Hou could not sustain this mental energy pull.
Mo Huai was keeping up with Hou, flying Infront consistently. That was until, Hou activated the Flowing Divine Script and had a small burst of speed.
He flew past Mo Huai slightly, catching him off guard. Due to the Celestial Law Amplifying Physique, Hou had natural privacy. The physique meant that even Mo Huai could not easily detect Hou and his inner doings was completely hidden.
Before this Mo Huai had been hiding Hou's laws himself so outsiders could not see his low cultivation level. But now Mo Huai did not need to do this, even without techniques Hou's physique was enough.
Mo Huai quickly sped up further and once again overtook How's position, flying faster than before.
After a while of flying, Hou and Mo Huai had made it back to the teleportation gate, Mo Huai then pulled out his token. He threw it up into the air, the light rays shooting out towards the edge of the gate.
Then clouds stepped out of the stone structure, a vortex forming in the middle of the ring of stone. Finally, the clouds shimmered and a new vision could be seen.
What greeted Hou was a view of a crystal blue lake. A stunning view of water with luscious greenery surrounding it. Hou flew through the gate and stood by the side of the lake. Mo Huai followed through, his token flying after him; then the gate closed.
"This is Myriad Cloud, a portion of it. Myriad Cloud is actually the most diverse domain in the Nine Clouds Sovereign Sect. This is partly due to the owner's needs"
"Nine Clouds Green Dragon?"
"Exactly, since he is a master of enslavement arts, he had many different animals. All those animals live in Myriad Cloud. However, each animal has different needs so Nine Clouds Green Dragon had changed the land to have a myriad of different environments suited for his animals."
"Should we set of flying?"
"No, even if we did there would be animals even I would have trouble with trying to eat us. We just need to wait, I suspect we'll be getting a ride..."
"A ri-" as Hou was speaking a loud roar resounded.
The air shook and the trees all waved from the force of the sound. Hou looked up into he air and saw space was rippling. Space tore and a large white dragon flowed out!
