When consciousness returned to me I found myself in the embrace of a white haired 13 year old child . We were in some kind of hole covered with soil, from outside I could hear some sort of hissing sound and the sound of iron clashing. When I moved my eyes over the body of the child, I saw a gaping wound on the left side of his waist. With blood dripping out of his mouth ...the child was looking at me with affection. Even I didnt know what expression I made at the madness. The child was telling me something in a language I didn't understand.
The being had told me that this world was brutal but I didn't pay him much attention.... I was wrong...very wrong.
Gazing at the wounded child infront of me gripped my heart with an insane amount of grief and sadness. I felt as if I had a hole in my own heart.
Due to being so emotionally disturbed I didn't notice when the child cupped my face and he suddenly bit his thumb drawing blood. The blood from his thumb dripped into my mouth and I heard a voice.

As I heard those system notifications I was shocked to see that the child was turning into dust right in front of me. A minute later only a pile of red sand stood at the former child's place. Even though all these events took place in front of me, I still found it difficult to believe them.
SOME TIME AGO
My thoughts just couldn't come together in front of the person....no, the being standing before me.Although they had the appearance of a child, I couldn't bring myself to look down on them. Just staring straight at them took all of my will power.
"Congratulations 👏,you have died". 'W-what the hell, where the hell am I' would be my normal reaction but I couldn't come up such strong emotions here. It felt as if a strong force was forcefully keeping me calm.
"I know you have many questions but it is not in my authority to answer them. But I will tell you about your current circumstances. As I've already told you you're dead and due to certain reasons you've earned the right to be reincarnated."
"In my original world?" I asked. It seems years of watching anime in the hospital has really corrupted my logic.
"Well...nope. You're going in the world of VAZENSHIA but...not as a human." It seems that the being knew what I was going to ask so he immediately replied "You'll be reborn as a dragon and I'll also give you a bonus."
The talk countinued for an hour as he gave me the basic information of the world where I'm going. Apparently it's a world with game like ...things.
AT PRESENT
After an hour the noises coming from outside had completely stopped but I didn't dig out of the hole, afraid of confronting that hissing monster. It took me 8 hours to calm myself. After I had calmed down I glanced at the pile of blood red sand and dug myself out of the hole.
Outside of the hole was a forest that seemed to be from a paradise. The trees had bright blue leaves,yellow flowers along with pitch black bark. When I scratched the bark of one of the trees, a pink coloured liquid started dripping from it. Althought it smelled sweet, I knew that sweet smelling things like this always have poison. I didn't want to take such a risk and die after only a few hours of rebirth.
When I looked at the location of the battle, I only saw black armours with a terrain that had more than a few holes in it as if something had tunneled out of them.
Without waiting a second, I climbed up a tree and hid amongst its branches and thick leaves. Now, it was the time I was waiting for. Without hesitation I said in my mind 'Status'
Suddenly a blue window appeared in front of me.

Seeing the skill window for the first time filled me with an unprecedented excitement but I somehow suppressed it. My task was to scout my surroundings. And thanks to the forest being so dense, it was easy to hop from the branches of one tree to another. After 2 hours of walking or whatever, I was able to locate a river and thankfully no monster were in my vicinity.
When I walked closer to the water body, I finally got the chance to glance at my new form. My entire body was a shade of grey, I was nearly 20 cm tall and 60 cm long. As I wasn't a true dragon yet, I didn't have wings.
