As I expected, it seems that i gain skill points upon leveling up and stats also show improvement.
After checking my status and being satisfied I look at the orbs only half a meter away from me.
'I hope they are tasty'....they were more tasty than I expected.
The moment I put the blue orb of the mongoose in my mouth, it melted and filled my mouth with a sweet liquid before flowing down my throat, but i felt as if it wasn't headed to my stomach. After a moment, I felt a warm energy entering my chest and settling there.

I was a tad bit surprised by the message but than thought to myself 'What even are the benefits of a core'
To my amazement, the system replied back.

'Wow, I didn't know you could reply back'. This time though, the system didn't say anything.
'Maybe it only replies to certain questions.' I then asked other questions that were bugging me. 'What if I didn't condense it right now but after reaching the maximum limit?'
This time too no answers were headed my way. 'Maybe I should
just find it out myself. Now time to savour the snake's orb'.
When I put the snake's orb' in my mouth, it too melted but the liquid tasted pleasantly sour and spicy. It too settled in my chest.

After that, I just bought [Camouflage] with 1 skill point. I had other plans for the skill point that remained.
Not having much to do, I proceeded with the other plan I had in my mind.
'i hope that I won't die from this', i then took a bite out of the snake's corpse and swallowed it without chewing. The piece was only as big as a newborn's first but was enough to give me a very annoying stomachache.

The pain was very annoying so I tried to close my eyelids in hope of drifting into sleep. Not long after that, I found myself in the embrace of sweet-sweet slumber.
Upon opening my eyes, I found out that it was still night time. The pain in my stomach had decreased significantly but it still remained. I glanced at the snake's corpse and although reluctantly, I knew that I had to so I took another bite and went to sleep with a new series of tremors in my stomach.
The next time I woke up, I was glad to achieve the result that I was hoping for.

Last night, when I was pondering about what to do today, a thought came to my mind and after reasoning a bit, I came to the conclusion that it was highly likely that the snake wasn't the sole poisonous resider of this forest. In case I ever encountered another poisonous snake or creature, I had to find a way to increase my chances of survival.
So I thought of 'developing' poison resistance.
