'Now I won't die from the poisonous monsters..... for the time being'
Although I had fulfilled the criteria for obtaining [Poison Resistance] by repeatedly getting poisoned through consuming the snake's corpse, roughly half of it was still left.
I spent the next few hours leveling up my [Poison Resistance], Although I still suffered from the stomach aches, the pain had lessened considerably after I obtained [Poison Resistance]. By the time I had finished my task, the day had already reached its warmest point.
From this grind, I managed to gain a single level in [Poison Resistance]. The snake corpse was now reduced to just a head. I was reluctant to eat the snake head because of the venom gland present it. I didn't want gamble with my life by consuming concentrated venom.
'Okay, enough lazing around. Its time to look for prey but first let's finish this experiment'
I locked my gaze onto the pitch black bark of the tree on whose branches I was resting upon and as if it could read my mind, the system replied with

Suddenly, my eyes were greeted with a white status window with only one singular word written on it

'....sigh. Thought so.' I absentmindedly uttered with a voice tinged with disappointment.
After obtaining the results of my futile experiment, I set out to hunt for prey to appease my hunger.
I picked a random direction and started travelling. After some time I noticed that occasionally trees with differently coloured flowers would pop out from between the yellow coloured ones. All of their characteristics were identical to the regular ones except for their flowers. Unlike the regular ones which were yellow, the varients I found either had a more reddish hue to them or were orange or red in colour.
After searching around for three hours, i finally found some prey. A clueless rabbit with something akin to a needle poking out of its head was carelessly munching on some grass. Upon using appraisal on that creature, I was greeted by a system notification.

This time though, a yellow status screen appeared infront of me with the words [Horned rabbit] written on it.
'So a detailed name comes only after one level up. It seems my investment will soon pay off.'
'Time to take care of that rabbit.'
Like the stealthy Predator I was, I jumped from the tree using [Leap] and utilising [claw strike] ended the life of my victim.

'Wow.... This feeling of mana entering my claw is really something.'
' I'll check this mutation thingy after filling my stomach.'
Glancing at the formally alive rabbit, the hunger in my stomach reawakened.
'Hehehe. Time to erase the evidence and dispose the dead body.'
I grabbed the rabbit in my jaws and began to climb the tree. Saliva had already started dripping from my mouth but I restrained myself, it was more important to find a safe location before filling my stomach. It was very easy to move from the branches of one tree to another since they were very densely packed together.
I walked in a random direction for half an hour before setting down on the tree branches and eating my prey. Sadly the rabbit didn't have a core.
'I wish I could quickly condense a core and maybe even use magic.'
Although I had met the minimum criteria for condensing a core, I didn't condense one since I didn't want to settle for something low-grade. Cores may have an impact on my growth in the future and I didn't want to risk anything due to my eagerness.
Keeping all my complaints to myself, I decided to just enjoy the fruit of my hard work.
By the time I had finished my meal, the forest was once again covered in darkness. Having completed my tasks, I decided to check the status page for information regarding the notification I had heard earlier.
