Nate anderson
After Orion and I ran into James we started our search for Noah and Emma. James told us everything that happened before him Emma and Noah climbed the mountain to find Eleanor. He told us how Liam Nick and the 2 twins went to fight Ethan and how they also ran into and were attacked by some miners. We walked down the cave looking for Emma and Noah. While we tried to stay quiet we still attracted the attention of some miners which we took down with little effort. As we walked we heard a quiet clunking sound echoing through the mines. I noticed the air around us had felt lighter closing my eyes I sensed the energy around us and noticed the the man with ash gray skin was gone and I could actually sense the people around me looking around I sensed a massive clump of energy around 60 feet away but just above us I sensed only 2 energy signals.
"I found them"
James and Orion both looked at me. James looked behind him.
"Can you see through walls now or some shit"
"I can sense their energy's above us"
Orion looked at me with surprise.
"You can already sense energy signals how"
"Eleanor taught me"
"Still".
Even with us now knowing Emma and Noahs location it was still a challenge navigating through the mines to find them but after no more than an hour we spotted a metal door. I walked up and opened the door. Inside we saw Noah and Emma passed out chained to metal chairs. Orion snapped the chains and woke them up but I noticed his caution around Emma I could tell he was ready to attack at any moment. I walked over and said.
"Orion don't worry she's a friend"
Orion's shoulders dropped slightly but I could tell he still had his guard up. We quickly caught Noah and Emma up to speed and we formed a plan. We knew we couldn't beat all the miners especially if the ash skin man came back. There was also the problem of Albode, while not as strong as his boss he was still stronger than most of us here. We also had to worry about Ethan since James and the others hadn't heard from them since they left so we decided to escape these caves and send the rest of Adrian's top 5 to the mines While Orion went with us to stop Ethan. Lucky for us Noah hadn't fully passed out until he was strapped to the metal chair so he roughly knew his way back to a central point of the mines and there we were in the open section of the cave with dozens of directions that we could go when i looked up i could see the roof covered in stalactites. James told us how an avalanche trapped them and Orion said his light should be able to melt the snow blocking the exit.
"Okay so we should of left some markers here somewhere"
James looked around feeling the walls untill.
"AH HA here we go"
James pointed to a sick of wood which stuck out from the snow. and pointed his hand out and moved till.
"There that's the way we just follow this cave and then we can escape-"
"Your not going anywhere nit on my watch"
We all looked just as Albode jumped from a top mine track and landing with a massive thud in front of us. A creator formed under his feet.
"You think you can escape me"
Albode reached for his back and pulled grabbed a massive labrys almost as tall as himself even though he stood at a staggering 7 feet Albode pointed his weapon at us.
"If ye think your getting out here alive you're sorely mistaken"
Albode turned and pointed his weapon at me.
"Especially you, I can't let a high blood leave"
"I don't know what a high blood is Albode but we're leaving"
Albode didn't respond, he just dashed towards us and swung his axe. I ducked under the swing and ran at Albode legs ready to slash them but Albode launched a massive energy explosion which launched me back and I crashed into the cave wall. A bright light forced me to close my eyes temporarily and I heard the word "Luminara" when I opened I saw that Orion had conjured a blade of pure light and what looked to be a bird also made of light and they were both attacking Albode. Orion blocked each slash from Albode but couldn't find an opening to attack, his bird Luminara clearly wasn't strong enough to damage Albode but was mainly there to help protect Oriorn.
"Noah James help me out here Emma help Orion find an opening".
I ran towards the walls of the cave and using energy leaped up to the upper mine tracks. I Landed and skidded across the tracks. Noah and James landed next to me and James looked around then turned ro me and asked.
"What's the plan up here Nate"
"You'll see".
Orion black
Using Radiance my blade made out of light I blocked a swing from the bearded man Albode was what Nate called him. I went on missions all the time while working for Adrian and that included fighting some people with energy control but other than the other members of Adrian's top 5 I had never met anyone with this much physical strength and what worried me most was that Albode wasn't enhancing his strength with energy and when I felt his energy pool signals i felt it to be nearly bottomless. I knew that if I wanted to beat Albode which I wasn't one-hundred percent sure I could I would need to give it everything I got. Blocking another swing I jumped into the air and landed on Luminara. Luminara flew around the cave and shot balls of light from her beak at Albode. Albode shielded himself with a thick layer of energy.
"Luminara keep on blasting him". I leaped off Luminara's back and dove towards Albode, using Radiance I slashed at Albode and while I was just able to pierce his energy shield I wasn't able to slash his skin. I jumped back just barely dodging a massive energy wave. I landed on the wall and shot off towards Albode and he swung his axe at me but what he didn't expect was for me to dive right past him and land on the cave floor. I skidded but for only a moment and I shot at back at him while he was still mid swing I thought I had a clear opening but Albode was much faster than I thought and he stumbles on his heels and his axe was inches away from my face and I thought that was it but the blade stopped mid air and allowed me to slash Albode in the side. Albode grunted and fell to one knee I landed back and turned and saw the girl with dark purple hair Emma was her name standing with her hands out and a pink aura around them I turned and saw the axe also had a pink aura.
"So she's unlocked her powers, interesting".
Just then I felt a massive just off energy hit me and I turned and was forced to shield my eyes as Albode stood up, his whole body glowing.
"He's not actually going to… SHIT EVERYONE RUN HE'S ABOUT TO EXPLODE".
I was mid run towards the girl when I heard a big crash behind me and I felt the ground shake under me and a warm thick liquid covered my back. I slowly turned and where I should of saw Albode getting ready to explode I only saw a massive stalactite surrounded by blood and gore. I looked up and saw Nate James and Noah all looking down from an upper mine track.
I wiped some of the blood that landed on my face and helped the girl up. Nate landed next me as I inspected the remains of Albode.
"Orion what the hell was he doing at the end there"
"he was going to explode but not by choice"
Nate looked at me curiously.
"What do you mean?"
"during my fight against him I noticed something strange about his core it felt bottomless but not at all powerful it was clear that he was holding back his power but in our fight he was force to release it and when he opened the dam"
"The entire pool overflowed"
Nate said finishing my sentence.
"Exactly and no human can hold that much energy at least not at his power so his body combusted and if it wants for you he probably would've destroyed the whole mountain in that blast"
Nate seemed happy that he stopped Albode but his smile faded when he saw my serious look.
"What's wrong?" he asked, his voice laced with concern.
"it's just no one can be born with that much energy it had to of been implanted"
"implanted?. how does that work?"
I looked at Nate.
"I don't know but who ever did this they need to be stopped"
I felt Nate rest his hand on my back.
"Well whoever it is we'll stop them".
Victor Malstrom
I scurried down the hall until I reached the metal door. I placed my finger out and a small needle stuck out from the wall and drew some blood from my finger the needle retracted and I waited for a moment then heard the familiar words "Welcome Victor" the door opened and I walked in I place or more dropped my research papers which I was carrying onto the only part of my desk not already cover with papers or Schematics. I walked up to the top of the room and up to my masterpiece a tall wide computer which covered the entire wall except for the middle where a large cylinder shaped object protruded from the wall I began trying some commands into the many keyboards when the door to the lab opened I turned and saw my boss his skin and ash colour his hair a deep black walking towards me when he was no more than 5 feet he lifted his hand and I saw he was holding a piece of hair.
"Boss is that?"
"Yes indeed it is Victor"
I snatched the hair from his hand, an action I would've regretted had I not been so excited. I placed the hair into a tube and watched as it was sucked in. I began frantically typing from one keyboard to the next, my boss watching me with a blank expression then steam broke free from the cylinder.
"is it ready"
My boss's voice while on the quieter side held an air of authority which startled me.
"Almost sir, he'll only need a few days until completion"
"show me"
"of course sir"
I pressed one of the many buttons on the keyboard and the hatch to the cylinder slowly slid down revealing my ultimate creation: a cyborg which could hold an infinite amount of energy. All we needed was the DNA of a high blood for it to be complete. I turned to face the cyborg and noticed where the head that was usually a mental gray was now a peachy skin with violet purple eyes and crimson hair.
My boss walked up.
"good very good indeed call me when it's ready"
"of course boss sir"
My boss walked awa6 but stopped at the door.
"Victor"
I jumped slightly.
"yes sir"
"you did such good work please call me by my name"
"oh sir yes sir… sorry thank you Lord Azure".
