Chapter 5 - UNKNOWN FIGURE

CHAPTER 5

"You don't get it -"

"And I don't think I want to." Kiara cut in. "Okay? Am leaving. It's nice meeting you all. But am just not who you think I am. I mean, I have been psychologically disturbed by a mere nightmare all my life and doesn't even know it was real." She shook her head with a sarcastic smile.

"Am just not who you expect me to be." With that, she walked outside the which she assumed to be the entrance and exit. She got out and looked back at the industry only to watch it vanish in front of her eyes.

It was dark already when Kiara got home. Waisting no time, she went to bed on feeling quite exhausted.

Finding herself in a dark room, it got her scared and panicking.

"Hello!, is anyone there?!!" She yelled out only to hear the echoes of her own voice repeatedly. Soon, she found herself surrounded by ugly creepy creatures that made her want to vanish into thin air. She gasped in fear on falling to the ground.

These initial the creatures to come closer making her scream on top of her voice. Enough to wake her up from her slumber.

She breathe in and out as she sat on the bed.

'just another crazy nightmare.' she told herself.

Getting off bed. She walked to the table and poured herself a glass of water. Never forgetting to fill her jar before going to bed again.

Drinking from the water, the sound of the door gently opening was heard making her almost choked on the water. Quickly putting down the glass, she turned behind to the door only to find no one but the opened door.

She gasped and turned yet again when a hard wind made the window open then closed repeatedly. She panicked as yet again, the sound of a glass crashed to the ground and shattered pulled back her attention. Her breath increased as she felt her nose was no longer taking in enough air.

Soon, strange whispers and laughters of demons were heard as the roamed round her room destroying and breaking things. Not knowing where the sudden strength and courage came from, she spoked fearless.

"What the hell are you! Show yourselves if bold enough." Unaware the necklace around her neck had began to glow lightly. Everything stopped for a few seconds, soon followed by footsteps approaching her direction. Fear consumed her again but she tried not to show. Hearing what she can't see was more frightening than any other.

Soon, the creatures became visible more clearly, heading to her direction with some creepy noises.

She quickly grabbed the lamb beside her bed and aimed at them as they aimed towards her. About to attack, she hit them away hardly with the lamb making them fly to the wall. It all would have been great not until one of the creatures stroke at the lamb making it shatter in her hands. She was surprised and speakless as she looked up at it only to find it aiming to attack her once again.

Rolling to the ground, she dragged it's leg along making it fall. Once it did, she quickly got on her feet before it could, picking up one of the shattered glass and stabbed it at the spine with it. Immediately, it perished.

She thanked the books involving demons she's read in her life. It had thought to kill a demon, you had to target it spine. Although she never in her life could imagine would come face to face with one.

Still unaware of her glowing necklace, she felt a shadow from behind. Fully ready to attack, she turned behind but became shocked on seeing the person standing front of her looked nothing like the demon creatures she did expect.

Standing in front of her was a man figure, dressed in a black coat which covers his entire form. If she wasn't mistaking, then it would be same figure she found behind her window side staring at her the other day. Except now, it was inside her room while still staring.

'That shouldn't be normal, should it?' she thought to herself while kept on observing him.

She soon snapped out when he brought up his hand and was like a red fire stroke her. Blasting, she flew to the wall and then hit the ground, a groan escaped her lips.

She heard slow steady footsteps only to realize he was walking closer to her. She knew they was no way of escape and could only pray for some miracle.

He approached and brought out a weird looking weapon which she could consider dangerous due to the night lights. He raised it in attack form and her breath inched.

Thinking it was all over, Jace suddenly appeared from behind the figure and stabbed him with his lightening sword. Pulling out the sword, Kiara became shocked at the quick healing of the wound. The figure turned to Jace and stroke him with his powers making Jace stumbled to the ground harshly. He groaned and was about getting up but was stroke harder.

Kiara screamed as the figure went to approach Jace whom seemed helpless at the moment. Getting on her feet, she picked up the sword which was laying on the floor and slowly breathe out.

Taking steps from behind, she held it framely. A scream escaped her lungs as she brought high the sword and stabbed the figure from behind.

Within the blink of an eye, it was gone. Throwing down the sword, she rushed to Jace's side.

"Are you alright?"

She asked as panic subdued on her face.

"Yeah, yeah. am good." He hissed as he managed to get back on his feet.

"And-who the hell was that?" She asked, still not feeling full secured.

"The demon himself." Jace replied.

"So is he like, d-dead?"

"I wish you did princess, but demons don't die. He needs to be weakened first. And the key to that is all round your neck. Surely it would want that." He redued.

"So you mean he is coming back?" More worries appeared in her.

"That's if we don't get you out of here first." He brought forward his hand and she looked quite hesitant to take it.

"It seems like you enjoy getting into trouble so I can come save you again." He mocked.

"Excuse me! You didn't save me, it was the other way round. I saved you!"

"Seemed like it." He mocked again.

"You should have seen how I dealt with the other demons. Am sure that's why they went ahead to call their master. They were so afraid of me." She boost. Making him giggle.

"Hello miss saviour. You didn't save yourself, the necklace did. It would always protect you as long as you have it on. If not, you would have been a dead meat already all thanks to your stubborness."

"Hey! You-"

"What are you guys still doing? We need to leave, now!"

Pearl's approach interrupted as she hurried them. Jace grabbed her and they were back in the instituted.

Getting to the SI they found everyone quite busy than usual and in haste.

"What's wrong?" Jace asked one of the members whose name was Luke.

"Mondins strikes again. They have been spotted at the promit bar. We need to hurry." He explained making Jace give a nod.

"Wait, I want to come too. If you are right about my necklace then you know you all need me." Kiara implied making Luke give a scoff.

"We simbeos don't need help from an incompetent." He mocked.

"What did you just call me?"

"It's nothing, okay?" Jace quickly cut in. "Listen, you are still a child who isn't ready for all these.

"Am pretty sure you are just few years older than I am." She scoffed.

"They is no time for your childish ball play. We need to go!" Jace looked at her "without you." They Left leaving her behind.

"Unbelievable" she hissed looking towards the direction Jace went.

Kiara decided to explore round the building for some while as she was already bored.

Suddenly, her necklace began to glow.

"Why is this always glowing?" She asked no one but herself.

Unknowingly, she disappeared only to appear at somewhere strange.

It was as dark as the shadowy nights. Fire and lava lit and were around some corner ends. Dark wind blew and it was more like a nightmare, her nightmare. Like the place she dreamt to have found her father. Only for her to appear their in reality. It was surely much unsecure as it seemed.

"Kiara watch out!" A voice which sounded like Jace's echoed. Quickly, she ducked to the ground in only a narrow escape as a fire ball passed over her head. She looked behind just to see some or at least most members of the simbeos been held captured by the monstrous creatures.

"Finally, I've got you right where I want." A dark thick voice like a thousand miles speakers echoed, made her gasped.
