An hour later, Rowan and Rose were sitting in the dining room, the tension between them palpable. Rowan tried to break the silence, his voice soft and concerned. "C'mon, eat something. Don't just stare at the food."
Rose didn't respond, her gaze fixed on her plate. Rowan sighed and continued to try and lighten the mood. "I'm the owner of this place, just feel free to have anything you want."
Rose's response was curt. "Can you stop talking? I'm just trying to make you feel better."
Rowan's face fell, but he persisted. "The only way I'll feel better is when I wake up one morning and see your face on the news, saying you're no more."
Rose's eyes flashed with anger. "Don't be that mean. I'm someone's child. I doubt if you're even human."
Just then, a loud crash echoed through the room, followed by a shrill voice. "What are you doing here?" Rowan's expression changed, and he stood up, his eyes narrowing.
"Daisy, what are you doing here?" he asked, his voice firm.
Daisy, a petite woman with a fiery personality, stormed into the room. "Why haven't you been answering my calls? I was worried sick about you."
Rowan's face remained impassive. "I was busy."
Daisy's eyes narrowed. "Busy with what? This...this...slut?" She spat the words out, her eyes flashing with anger as she pointed at Rose.
Rose's eyes widened in shock, and she stood up, her voice calm but menacing. "How dare you."
The situation escalated quickly, with Daisy throwing a glass of water at Rose. Rowan tried to intervene, but Rose was quick to react, catching Daisy's hand before she could slap her.
"You're really such a desperate lady," Rose said, her voice dripping with disdain.
Daisy's face turned red with rage. "You think you're so smart, don't you?" she spat.
Rose smiled sweetly. "I think you're forgetting something."
Daisy raised an eyebrow. "What?"
Rose's response was swift. She grabbed a bottle of champagne and poured it over Daisy's head, the liquid cascading down her face and clothes.
Daisy's eyes widened in shock, and she stood frozen for a moment before storming off. "I'll get you for this," she shouted over her shoulder.
As Daisy disappeared from view, Rowan turned to Rose, his eyes flashing with amusement. "You're quite the firecracker, aren't you?"
Rose's expression remained calm. "I think it's time for you to choose. Either she's your girlfriend, or I am."
Rowan's smile grew wider. "Oh, I'd choose you any day."
He called out to her as she walked away. "Wait, Ana..."
But Rose didn't look back, her long strides carrying her away from the drama that had just unfolded. Rowan chased after her, his voice calling out her name. "Wait up."
