"Sending a letter would take too long. Just give me the address and I'll take you there myself!" Kasenhis said, thumping his chest confidently.
"Just go straight there. They've already run off to Italy," Lupin said as he stood up and put an arm around Kasenhis's shoulders.
"Mm."
With that single response, the two disappeared right in front of Sirius.
And before long, they were back again.
"I think my top priority right now should be staying with Tonks, don't you? So you can go by yourself," Lupin said nervously before walking out of the room.
He soon came back again, intending to drag Sirius along with him to see Tonks.
Seeing this, Kasenhis left England once more.
Meanwhile, Kingsley, who was beside the Prime Minister pretending to be a servant while monitoring the magical surveillance covering all of England, could only sigh helplessly.
Honestly, how had Kasenhis even had the nerve to ask that question last night?
Why had no one from the Ministry ever come knocking because he kept entering and leaving the country however he pleased?
Was that really something he needed to ask anyone else?
...
Meanwhile, in Italy,
A place supposedly famous for young cows and hoof shops...
Lupin's parents, Lyall Lupin and Hope Lupin, lived in a small town surrounded by mountains and water, enjoying a shamelessly happy retirement.
Finding them wasn't difficult for Kasenhis.
Judging by the situation, they were also in regular contact with Lupin and had known about Tonks for quite some time.
They showed no surprise at all when they heard the two were apparently getting married.
What did surprise them was that Kasenhis himself had come to pick them up.
...
"Remus really is far too inconsiderate, making you come all this way to collect us. We could have Apparated back ourselves. All he needed to do was send us a letter..."
Back at Black's old house, Kasenhis felt somewhat awkward listening to Mr and Mrs Lupin shower him with compliments.
When it came to the werewolf issue, he had merely made a tiny contribution.
That was all.
And honestly, this was the first time anyone had praised him this much.
It was really embarrassing.
Meanwhile, Dumbledore had somehow tracked Tonks's parents down from some unknown country on Earth and brought them back as well.
At this point, the entire Black family home had descended into complete chaos.
Sirius was practically turning the whole house upside down.
He found one gemstone here.
The quality wasn't good enough.
He found another gemstone there.
Oh, the last person who wore it had died horribly.
Unlucky.
In the end, there wasn't a single gemstone in the entire Black family home that satisfied him.
"What's gotten into him?" Kasenhis greeted Lupin, then pointed at Sirius and asked curiously.
"Engagement rings and wedding rings are different. Sirius is looking for gemstones so he can make our wedding rings," Lupin explained.
The moment he finished, Sirius walked straight over to Kasenhis.
"Kasenhis, do you have any gemstones? Valuable ones, with good colour and quality?" Sirius asked.
"I do, brother, I do! I've got plenty of exactly what you're looking for."
Kasenhis somehow produced a sheet of black velvet and then told Sirius to move the expensive vase sitting on the table.
Sirius picked up the vase and shot it toward the rubbish bin.
Three-pointer!
Kasenhis didn't react at all.
He simply spread the velvet neatly across the table, then waved his hand.
Diamonds, emeralds, jade, redstone, amethyst, a dazzling variety of magical gemstones, and the most basic assortment of precious metals all appeared before them.
The metals could be used later for making the ring settings.
"Wow! We can choose from all of these?" Tonks's eyes were instantly drawn to the spread.
"Of course. Consider it your wedding gift. Pick whatever you want! If you want an entire outfit made of diamonds or gold, I can do that too!" Kasenhis said generously.
Tonks picked up a teardrop-shaped diamond about half the size of her fist and held it against her ring finger.
"Feels a little big."
"It's mainly so you can look at the material. Though a diamond this size could probably be set into a necklace," Lupin said with a smile.
"I know that."
Tonks smiled shyly, though no one knew what she was blushing about.
"Then how about diamonds? For the ring setting, I think copper would be enough. Gold is too flashy, iron is too hard, copper is too soft... Actually, I also want some sapphires as decoration. And if the inside of the ring could have my and Remus's names engraved in ruby, that would be even better!"
Tonks rattled off all her requirements like she was ordering dishes from a menu, without the slightest hesitation.
"No problem. What about you, Lupin?" Kasenhis asked, turning toward him.
"Same as Tonks. Just make mine the men's version."
"Okay, I'm starting now. Sirius, give me their ring fingers... the measurements of their ring fingers! Don't get that wrong!"
Kasenhis found a corner, set down a crafting table, and got to work.
Usually, when he did alchemy, he could simply make whatever metal or gemstone he wanted round or flat according to his will.
But these were wedding rings.
Naturally, they needed a little ceremony.
He planned to make them completely by hand.
Conveniently, he had previously built a Tinkers' Construct smeltery at Black's old house.
Then he immediately Ender Blinked away and dragged back his most useful slave...
No.
His best student.
Cedric still hadn't figured out what Lupin and Tonks getting married had to do with him suddenly being dragged back here.
But the moment Kasenhis pushed him over to the Tinkers' Construct smeltery, his muscle memory kicked in automatically.
He pressed Lupin and Tonks's fingers into clay moulds, packed the clay tightly around them, then poured molten metal into the impressions.
Once it cooled, the exact sizes were ready.
After that, they only needed to use clay around the fingers to make the ring sizes, create the moulds, pour in the metal, and the bands were finished.
"And the inside of the rings needs their names. Use redstone. Also, have Sirius bring the Weasley twins back. Once the rings are finished, let those two do the infusion enchanting. They've been independent for so long. It's time they started sharing some of their teacher's workload," Kasenhis said while polishing the gemstone in his hands.
"No problem. I'll go right now."
Cedric said he would go, but what he actually did was raise his hand to summon Sirius, then tell Sirius to go fetch the Weasley twins.
And so, once the Weasley twins returned to Black's old house, the wedding preparations were basically complete.
"Oh, right. The wedding dress."
Lupin suddenly remembered this terrifying problem.
They had all been busy from morning until night.
And they had forgotten to prepare the wedding dress.
Kasenhis had just finished handcrafting the rings, and his fingers were now trembling like a vibr—ehm—massage gun.
He took a deep breath.
"We've got one, mate. We've got that too!"
