Chapter 485 - 485: Mordred, the legend of King Arthur

Kasenhis found an empty room.

The Create mod components in his hands flew together over the open floor like building blocks, rapidly assembling themselves into a massive machine.

"What is that?" Dumbledore asked as he walked over.

"A spinning jenny," Kasenhis replied concisely.

"When it comes to reversing the course of history, you truly are unmatched," Dumbledore commented.

In the end, the Minecraft version of the spinning jenny never actually got used.

Because while Sirius was spinning a globe around, he suddenly realised something.

The planet was round.

Which meant...

It was still daytime on the other side of the Earth.

And the bridal shops there were still open.

"Cedric, help me smash that ridiculously stupid machine," Kasenhis said, sounding a little embarrassed.

"Alright. Honestly, I think it actually looks pretty good. Kind of steampunk, if anything," Cedric said slowly.

"If you like it, you can have it. Assuming you can move the whole thing," Kasenhis said with a wave of his hand.

"I was waiting for you to say that, Professor!"

Cedric immediately began figuring out how he was going to take the entire machine away.

Meanwhile, Kasenhis headed into the back garden...

Given the current situation, the wedding venue was perhaps a little too...

Awkward.

Everyone was busy setting up the wedding decorations in the garden.

And in one corner, Regulus's gravestone stood there quietly, watching everything unfold.

Kasenhis himself hadn't quite reacted to it either.

Sure, rushing the wedding was understandable.

Every day earlier meant one day earlier they could pull those death flags off the couple's backs.

But this was still a bit too rushed.

A wedding at dusk?

Europe didn't seem to have that particular tradition.

Whatever.

It wasn't anything complicated anyway. Why be so rigid about it?

They could finish the wedding at night and send the newlyweds straight to the bridal chamber afterward.

That worked perfectly well too.

With that thought, Kasenhis walked toward the crowd and generously began pulling bottle after bottle of champagne from his ring, stacking them into a champagne tower.

"Ah, I really am such a good brother," Kasenhis said happily to himself.

Dumbledore: ???

Before long, all the preparations were complete.

The wedding was about to begin.

Kasenhis, however, was so exhausted that he had lost most of his enthusiasm.

He simply sat tiredly beside a table, casually took a glass from the champagne tower, and started drinking.

"Begin!"

What followed was the universally boring part shared by weddings throughout history and across the world.

Dumbledore stood at the front acting as both witness and priest, asking the usual assortment of questions.

Kasenhis really couldn't understand it.

All those vows about never abandoning each other through poverty or wealth...

It was one thing for Muggles to recite vows like tongue twisters all day long.

But why were wizards, who literally possessed the Unbreakable Vow, still using this kind of empty verbal promise?

Shouldn't they just use magic to bind the two of them together permanently, and if either one ever cheated, have Merlin personally smite them from above?

Kasenhis didn't understand it, but he had definitely drunk quite a lot.

The next morning, sunlight woke him up.

He rubbed his head, slowly sat upright, then turned around and wiped some dust off Regulus's gravestone.

"Don't worry. Next year, your bro will arrange a ghost marriage for you," Kasenhis said, patting Regulus's gravestone.

"Kasenhis, come over. We're having a meeting," Sirius called out as he walked out of the room, aching all over.

"Coming, coming."

Kasenhis went back inside, found his seat, and sat down.

Dumbledore was sitting there eating pastries as he spoke.

"The Ministry has received intelligence. Dark Marks were seen in Cumberburg, Bolpero, and Pottermelin, and traces of Death Eaters have now appeared in all three locations."

"So we hit them one by one and wipe out all three Voldemorts, right?" Sirius said excitedly.

"Unfortunately, no. We still don't know where the final Voldemort is. The three currently detectable by the Ministry are probably all clones," Kasenhis said, shaking his head and crushing Sirius's immature idea.

Dumbledore nodded.

"I've already sent Severus to gather intelligence. We only need to determine the location of the final Voldemort, and then we can wipe them all out in one operation."

Kasenhis scratched his chin, lowered his head, and began counting on his fingers.

Himself, Dumbledore, Grindelwald.

That made three people.

Voldemort himself plus his three clones made four.

3 - 4 = 0...

Dumbledore was truly a mathematical genius.

Kasenhis instinctively wanted to ask whether they were seriously planning to pile human lives onto Voldemort until he died.

But Dumbledore didn't give him the chance.

"To avoid the awkward situation where we fail to kill all four simultaneously and one Voldemort escapes, I specifically invited an older schoolmate of mine who has already gone into seclusion. Fortunately, he still has justice in his heart. When he heard my request, he stepped forward without hesitation and agreed to help me fight Voldemort."

Kasenhis scratched his head.

Grindelwald looked equally baffled.

How had he never known Dumbledore had an older schoolmate like that?

And someone older than Dumbledore?

Just how old was this person?

Dumbledore seemed to notice Grindelwald's confusion and shrugged.

"Actually, it's not too bad. He's only a little older than I am."

The moment Dumbledore finished speaking, a thin figure in black robes slowly materialised nearby.

The figure became clearer and clearer until an elderly wizard stood before them, dressed in black wizarding robes, his grey-white hair slicked all the way back, his face gloomy and severe, with a goatee on his chin.

"Long time no see, Mordred Sr!"

Dumbledore stood up and moved to embrace the elderly wizard named Mordred.

Grindelwald, meanwhile, had gone completely blank while still sitting in his seat.

Seeing this, Kasenhis immediately nudged him.

"What's this old gentleman's background? Looks like you know who he is."

Grindelwald replied quietly,

"He has a famous saying: 'Merlin wasn't really that impressive either...'"

Kasenhis raised an eyebrow.

"And? I've read some of Merlin's writings on magic, including alchemy. The evidence suggests Merlin really was just so-so."

Grindelwald looked at Kasenhis helplessly.

By then, Mordred had finished hugging Dumbledore and was walking over toward them.

Grindelwald stood up and shook Mordred's hand.

"When I was little, I used to fall asleep listening to stories about you."

Mordred smiled.

"Then the fact that you managed to fall asleep at all means you were exceptionally gifted."
