Snow had finally reached the mysterious chamber where the strange murals depicted a forgotten history, one belonging to civilizations that neither he nor Uriel knew anything about.
Yet neither of them was paying attention to the murals anymore. Their eyes were fixed upon the elderly man who had appeared out of nowhere before them, addressing Snow as the purest vessel.
"Who are you?" Snow asked cautiously, preparing himself to react to the slightest movement from the stranger. Although the old man looked like a lifeless corpse barely capable of standing on his own, Snow's senses had failed to detect his existence until he appeared directly before them.
That alone was enough to put Snow on the highest possible alert. He remained ready to strike at a moment's notice, unwilling to underestimate someone whose presence had escaped his perception so completely.
